The program consists of 10 sessions and each session employs a variety of traditional plays. The Therapeutic relationship Scale and Playfulness Scale were used as a pre-test and post-test respectively. The data were analyzed by the SPSS 18.0 program, which applied the Mann-Whiteney U test and Wilcoxon rank sum test. Twelve novice play therapists participated in ten sessions of the Therapy Competency Enhancement Program, and were compared with the control group of twelve novice play therapists who did not receive treatment. The treatment group statistically showed significant enhancement in therapeutic relationships, and playfulness in comparison to the control group. It was concluded that the Therapy Competency Enhancement Program for Novice Play-therapists Using Traditional Play was effective for enhancing therapeutic relationships and playfulness. This study has significance in its attempt to develop a Therapy Competency Enhancement program to improve the therapeutic relationship, and playfulness of novice play therapists by Traditional Play.

The conclusions are children's cognitive development stages depending on the age discrimination that the development of play, and preferred plays are different by children cognitive development process. In order to take advantage of children playing in the children's museum by taking into account the developmental aspects will have to be designed. Efficient for viewing by age should be different on the basis. This study has shown that, when planning a children's museum, Planners should discriminate the movements of children and analysis of preferred experience of children's museum according to three museum types friendly to children's cognitive development process.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the quality of the constructive play of 3, 4 and 5 year-old children. The researchers used unit blocks as the instrument because they are the most representative examples of constructive play materials. The subjects were 73 children enrolled in a half-day early childhood education program. The children's block play was videotaped 8 times, for a total of 330 minutes. The videotapes were transcribed and assessments were made on the children's 233 constructions in terms of the developmental stage of block play, the variety of materials used, play duration, and play intensity. The data were analyzed through two-way ANOVA to check age and sex differences. The results showed that children's developmental stages of block play were low on the average and that girls did not show an active interest in block play. The results also implied that block play developed by play experience rather than by age. Therefore, this study was interpreted to highlight the importance of teachers' understanding, planning, and mediation of block play in order to induce high-quality constructive play.

  • Objective: This study aimed to develop a documentation model that can support early chlildhood learning through play and facilitate the implementation of early childhood and play-oriented curriculum. Methods: This study utilized the design and development research methodology to derive components for the model through literature review and investigation research. In addition, the model was gradually improved through the 3rd expert review, and the validity of the model was verified through usability evaluation with 10 early childhood teachers. Results: This study identified 13 components and developed a flexible, selective, repetitive, and cyclic documentation model based on the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum. Model development is embodied and presented as a model-detailed model-detailed content. The model is presented in detail in the study. Conclusion/Implications: The documentation model developed in this study is expected to provide guidance to early childhood teachers and serve as a basis for future research on documentation in early childhood education. It is expected that it will be able to present the practical direction of records for play support for teachers in the field.
