  • The platform screen door(PSD) hasn't been installed yet within the manual operation system, that is, ATS & ATC Signal system. In other countries, it is mostly installed and operated within automatic operation system, that is, ATO. Especially, as a part of the environment friendly system installation, the installation of PSD shall be considered aggressively to improve the air quality in the underground area and to maintain the air-conditioning. Besides the number of suicides in the subway station gets increased these days causing safety hazard, so the installation of PSD is positively reviewed. To install PSD in the manual operation system, it is important to stop the train at the correct position. So we would like to suggest the technical system thereby.

  • This paper propose image processing algorithm to prevent safety accidents near by subway platform screen door(PSD). First, edges of the subway PSD images are detected and the boundary line between PSD and subway platform is detected to decide people's approach to the PSD using Hough transform. To do this, we draw the boundary line between the PSD and platform, to detect the boundary line and to decide the people's approach to the detected line is completely connected or not. Generally, edge is the basic characteristic of image; thus, edge detection is very important in image processing applications and computer vision area. The conventional edge detection methods such as Roberts, Sobel, Prewitt, and Laplacian etc, which are using a fixed value of mask, and morphological gradient from the structuring element of view and Canny edge detector are widely used. In this paper, we propose the detection algorithm about the people's approach to the subway PSD to prevent the safety accidents by using Canny edge detector and Hough transform and the computer simulation shows the results.

  • Many casualties are being occurred due to many misses the railway platform, and the accident occurrence is being increased. Recently in Korea, efforts to prevent casualties fundamentally are being made by installing and operating the PSD(Passenger Screen Door) as to prevent these casualties of passengers. However, in case of the PSD system, although it can solve the problem of public casualties at platform fundamentally, it is impossible to install it at whole railway platforms. This paper proposes the safety equipment using LaserRadar sensor for the prevention against casualties of passengers at platform. The safety equipment using novel sensor is the safety equipment making an approaching train stopped if the falling object is a person by detecting the obstacle at platform, and it has the merit possible to apply it to platform since it may detect accurately under ambient environmental elements such as the snow, rain and yellow dust, etc. also. We manufactured a prototype of the safety equipment to reduce public casualties at platform by using LaserRadar sensor and carried out its performance test, and the result is presented in this paper.

  • This paper focused on the ways of disater prevention and risk analysis of the passengers setting up the hypothesis when urban rapid transit broke out fire in subway tunnel which is PSD(Platform Screen Door) installed environment. compared the flud dynamic changes and evacuation specifications whether PSD being installed or not, tried to search the effective ways for sustaining passengers safety.

  • A PSD system has a lot of characteristic for safety. Trust of performance test is very important. But PSD performance test has an effect on trust by proficiency of test staff because it is difficult to automate. In that specially the effort test, manual opening and shutting test and abrasion measurement, test staff is demanded for proficiency. Therefore the paper repeated measurement in same condition and studied proficient factor of examiner according to increased measurement counter. As a result, measurement uncertainty has improved.

  • Purpose: In order to fulfill the RAMS (Reliability Availability Maintainability and Safety) requirements in Korean railway systems, specific target metrics should be measured and met the requirements when ordering a new system. This paper presents a procedure to predict and demonstrate the availability, maintainability and safety of subway elevators, escalators and PSD (platform screen doors) systems. Methods: The system manufacturer predicts availability and maintainability with lab and field tested data. After installation, availability and maintainability are demonstrated based on the actual operational data. The data was collected from the FRACAS (Failure Report and Corrective Action System). Results: Methods and process of assessing and analyzing the availability, maintainability and safety are presented for elevating services and PSD systems. The data obtained through the actual operation of the equipment is analyzed and maintained to predict the RAMS based on the component and system level failure data acquired. Conclusion: This study presented an application using IEC 62278 and operational data which can be used in the design and development stage to achieve the RAMS target value of the subway elevators, escalators and PSD systems.

  • Many accidents are being occurred due to many missteps, etc. at the railway platform. Recently in Korea, efforts to prevent casualties fundamentally are being made by installing and operating the PSD(Platform Screen Door) with underground station building as its center to prevent these casualties of passengers. Although this PSD can solve the problem of public casualties at platform fundamentally, it is impossible to install it at whole station buildings since its installation cost is high, and in case of the ground station building of general railway whose operation speed is higher, installation of PSD is impossible due to the characteristics of railway system. This paper proposes the novel safety equipment using Laser radar sensors for the prevention against casualties of passengers at station buildings where the PSDs are not installed like this.   • We have studied on the possibility of precise positioning using hybrid Track Circuit system. Hybrid Track Circuit uses RFID which replaces UHF. Hybrid Track Circuit is a part of next generation railroad signal system which is available to communicate with a railway on board system based on a realtime operating system. If applicate on a current hand operating subway, phenomenon caused by driver's mistake such as passing a stop without stopping or mismatch error between PSD and train door should be prevented.

The train like the general bus or the car vehicle was not serial riding in a car and the Parallel concept which the numerous passenger rides in a car simultaneously occur frequently the charge of the train driver unmanned bitterly from existing manual handling was a possibility of doing, train open door control(ODM) which bites also ATO, it handles it minimized. Like this ATO/DLM, the control system which bites being a Wayside to Train communication for immediacy, it is a system of the Vital concept the immediacy of the citizen Data evil the radio information transmission and the train of the interface which is accurate from unmanned operation and, will decipher, will accomplish it will guarantee. It respects the passenger accident prevention and an air question environment improvement from subway platform and phul leys the screen door of Platform(PSD) with the fire tube frost it refers and part it treats and to sleep it does, ODM which bites is accuracy and immediacy of altitude and when seeing from the viewpoint which demands the trust of altitude, ODM system the trust of car incest interface in the equipment construction which is safe and the comparative analysis back of the system analysis against the control which bites and case study and other subway system it leads from the research which it sees and signal - train in base grudge to sleep it contributes it does.
