The purpose of this research is to show the effectiveness of spinal stenosis treated by Hominis Placenta Megadose pharmacopuncture combined with Korean medicine treatment. We used Hominis Placenta Megadose pharmacopuncture treatment on patients who received treatment at Bucheon Jaseng Korean medicine hospital from March, 2016 to October, 2016. Also we checked Numeric Rating Scale(NRS), Oswestry low back pain Disability Index(ODI) to follow the scale showing the improvement of the symptoms of the patients. All 4 patients showed the improvement of NRS, ODI scales. This research suggests Hominis Placenta Megadose pharmacopuncture combined with Korean medicine treatment can help treat spinal stenosis.

Objective : Lately oriental medicine treatment of peripheral facial paralysis is various. In various treatments, this study makes a report that effect of our clinic using aqua-acupuncture with hominis placenta for peripheral facial paralysis. Materials and Methods : This report have been observed among twenty-six patients with peripheral facial paralysis who admitted to oriental medicine hospital with Se-myung university during Jan. 1st, 2001 to Oct. fourth, 2001. These patients were divided into two groups; the first group added aqua-acupuncture with hominis placenta to basic oriental medicine treatment., while the second group was only treated with basic oriental medicine treatment. Results : The results of treatment with adding aqua-acupuncture with hominis placenta to basic oriental medicine treatment showed that 9 of 12(75%) patients achieved good or more recovery. While the second group was observed that 6 of 14(50%) patients achieved good or more recovery. Conclusion : The outcome of the observation, we concludes that the therapeutic rate of the group of adding aqua-acupuncture with hominis placenta was higher than that of basic oriental medicine treatment.

Objective : This study has been designed and performed to identify the effect on insomnia patients according to the injection of herbal medicine induced from the Hominis placenta. Methods : Injection on G20(風池), G20(池) in insomnia patients who were admitted in Dong-Seo Oriental Medical Hospital every day for 5days, without western medicine. Results: Total duration of sleeping time showed 0.68 hours of increased. (p<0.005 respectively)

Objectives : This study has been designed and performed to identify the effect on Bell's palsy according to the injection of herbal medicine induced from the Hominis Placenta. Methods : We measured the facial palsy changes of the patients who were admitted for Bell's palsy in the Oriental Medical hospital of Dongeui medical center from 03-01-2004 to 07-31-2004. Bell's palsy patients were divided into two groups. One group(A group) was injected with Hominis Placenta herbal acupuncture. The other group(B group) was injected with normal saline. Then effects of these treatment was evaluated by Yanagihara's unweighted grading system. Results : A group was marked more higher than B group in treatment outcome. we discovered that it is significant differences between two groups after 4 week. Conclusions : These results provided that A group is more effective than B group. For clearly proving the effect of Hominis Placenta herbal acupuncture on Bell's palsy, it is need more sample's number and more treatment's duration.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to compare the effects of Hwangryunhaedok-tang pharmacopuncture therapy with Hominis Placenta pharmacopncture therapy in hospitalized patients with peripheral facial paralysis. Methods : We investigated 34 cases of patients with peripheral facial paralysis who were admitted into the Dept. of Acupuncture & Moxibustion of Dongshin University Suncheon Oriental Hospital from February 1, 2014 to June 31, 2015. Subjects were divided into two groups, Hwangryunhaedok-tang pharmacopuncture group(HR group), and Hominis Placenta Pharmacopuncture group(JH group). HR group was treated by Hwangryunhaedok-tang pharmacopuncture five times a week and JH group was treated by Hominis Placenta Pharmacopuncture five times a week. And both groups were treated by acupuncture, electroacupuncture, herbal medicine therapy, western drug therapy equally. To investigate the effectiveness of treatment, we used House-Brackmann Grading System, Yanagihara's unweighted grading system and Sunnybrook facial grading scale at before admission and after admission. Results : Each scores by 3 evaluation methods improved both in two groups. However, there were no significant differences in improvement between two groups. Conclusions : These results suggest that the Hwangryunhaedok-tang pharmacopuncture therapy is as effective as Hominis Placenta pharmacopuncture therapy to improve symptoms of peripheral facial paralysis.

Objectives : The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of Hominis Placenta pharmacopuncture therapy and sweet bee venom therapy on peripheral facial paralysis. Methods : Clinical studies were done 36 patients who were treated peripheral facial paralysis to Dept. of Acupuncture and Moxibusition, of Oriental Medicine Dong-Eui University from June 15, 2009 to January 5, 2010. Subjects were randomly divided into 2 groups. : Hominis Placenta Pharmacopuncture treated group (group A, n=18), sweet bee venom treated group (group B, n=18). In group A, we treated patients with dry needle acupuncture and Hominis Placenta pharmacopuncture therapy. In group B, we treated patients with dry needle acupuncture and sweet bee venom therapy. All process of treatment were performed by double blinding method. To investigate the effectiveness of treatment applied for two groups, we used Yanagihara's unweighed grading system at before treatment, after 1week, 2weeks, 3weeks and 4weeks of treatment. Results : The Yanagihara's scores of group B were higher than those of group A, but not statistically significant. The improvement indexs of group A and group B were different, but not statistically significant. Conclusions : There were no significant differences statistically between Hominis Placenta pharmacopuncture therapy and sweet bee venom therapy on peripheral facial paralysis.

Reactive Oxygen Species(ROS) are continuously produced at a high rate as a by-product of aerobic metabolism. Since tissue damage by free radical increases with age, the reactive oxygen species(ROS) such as hydrogen peroxide($H_2O_2$), nitric oxide(NO). Several lines of evidence provided that ROS appears to cause to develop aging-related various diseases such as cancer, arthritis, cardiovascular disease. In this study, we have conducted to investigate the biological activities of Hominis Placenta Herbal Acupuncture by measuring total polyphenol content, DPPH radical scavenging, ABTS radical scavenging, Superoxide dismutase(SOD)-like activity, Nitrite scavenging ability in vitro. The total polyphenol contents of Hominis Placenta Herbal Acupuncture was $24.6m{\ell}/m{\ell}$. Elctron donation ability on DPPH was 49.4%. The 2,2'-azinobis-3-ehtlbezothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid radical decolorization (ABTS) was 50.01%, similar 10 the DPPH free radical scavenging. The superoxide dismutase (SOD)-like activities of hominis placenta herbal acupuncture was 50.876%. The nitrite scavenging abilities at pH 1.5, pH 3.0, pH 6.0 were 52.8%, 29.4%, 15.4%, respectively; these abilities decreased as pH increased. We conclude that Hominis Placenta Herbal Acupuncture may be useful as potential sources of antioxidant.

This experiment was designed to investigate the effect of Mominis Placenta herbal acupuncture solution(HP-HAS) on immune cells and cytokines in murine asthma model. In vivo C57BL/6 mice were sensitized and challenged with OVA for 12 weeks. The experimental group was treated with Hominis Placenta herbal acupuncture solution(HP-HAS) at P'yesu(BL13) for the later 8 weeks(3 times a week) and analyzed by ELISA, flow cytometer. The results were obtained as follows Eosinophils in BALF(bronchoalveolar lavage fluid) of HP-HAS group decreased significantly compared with that of control group. IL-4, IL-5, IL-13, IgE in BALF of HP-HAS group decreased significantly compared with that of control group. Number of $CD3e^-/CCR3^+$, $CD69^+/CD3e^+$, $CD11b^+/Gr-1^+$ cells in the HP-HAS group decreased compared with that of control group.

Hominis Placenta has a broad array of clinical applications in Korean medicine, including treatment of inflammatory conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis. The purpose of this study is to explore the global gene expression profiles in human RAW 264.7 cell lines treated with Hominis Placenta herbal-acupuncture solution (HPHAS) using microarray analysis. The RAW 264.7 cells were treated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS), HPHAS, or both. Of the 8,170 genes profiled in this study, with a cut-off level of two-fold change in the expression, 72 genes (CTD1, regulating synaptic membrane exocytosis 2, etc.) were upregulated and 135 genes(splicing factor, arginine/serine-rich 1, actinin, alpha 1, etc.) downregulated following LPS treatment. One gene (acrosin) was upregulated and 12 genes (phospholipase A2, group IB, neurofilament, heavy polypeptide 200kDa, etc.) were downregulated following HPHAS treatment. Eleven genes (RAB27A, member RAS oncogene family, eosinophil peroxidase, etc.) were upregulated and 16 genes (V-maf musculoaponeurotic fibrosarcoma oncogene homolog G (avian), RW1 protein, etc.) were downregulated following co-stimulation of HPHAS and LPS. It is thought that microarrays will play an ever-growing role in the advance of our understanding of the pharmacological actions of HPHAS in the treatment of arthritis. Further studies, however, are required to concretely prove the effectiveness of HPHAS.

Objectives : This study was designed to find out correlation of filtration rate of herbal-acupunctures and pain score of herbal acupuncture stimulation. Methods : Filtration rate of Hwangryunhaedoktang herbal acupuncture, Kidney yang deficiency number two herbal acupuncture, Hominis Placenta herbal acupuncture, Cervus Elaphus herbal acupuncture, BUM herbal acupuncture and Carthami Flos herbal acupuncture were measured at the korean institute of herbal acupuncture. And Hwangryunhaedoktang herbal acupuncture, Kidney yang deficiency number two herbal acupuncture, Hominis Placenta herbal acupuncture, Cervus Elaphus herbal acupuncture, BUM herbal acupuncture and Carthami Flos herbal acupuncture were injected at Xie points of the subjects. Results : Ranking of herbal acupunctures filtration rates is the same as ranking of pain score and duration time of herbal acupuncture. Correlation analysis result of herbal acupunctures filtration rates and herbal acupuncture VAS with a simple linear regression analysis is that correlation coefficient of Hwangryunhaedoktang herbal acupuncture, Kidney Yang Deficiency Number Two herbal acupuncture, Hominis Placenta herbal acupuncture, Cervus elaphus herbal acupuncture, BUM herbal acupuncture. Carthami Flos herbal acupuncture is 0.44, 0.53, 0.58, 0.76, 0.47 and 0.54. Correlation analysis result of herbal acupuncture's filtration rates and herbal acupuncture stimulation's duration time is that correlation coefficient of Hwangryunhaedoktang herbal acupuncture, Kidney Yang Deficiency Number Two herbal acupuncture, Hominis Placenta herbal acupuncture, Cervus Elaphus herbal acupuncture, BUM herbal acupuncture, Carthami Flos herbal acupuncture is -0.09, 0.11, -0.07, 0.28, -0.11 and -0.09. Conclusion : We found the correlation of filtration rate of herbal-acupunctures and pain score of herbal-acupuncture stimulation. This study help to control pain amount and pain duration time of herbal acupuncture treatment. And this study improve acupuncture theory of herbal acupuncture.
