  • This paper presents a new data line sharing technique for TFT-LCD panels. This technique reduces the number of data driver IC's to half by having two adjacent pixels share the same data line. This in turn doubles the number of gate lines, which are integrated directly on the glass substrate of amorphous silicon for further cost reduction and more compactness. The proposed technique with new pixel array structure was applied to 15.4 inch WXGA TFT-LCD panels and has proven that the number of driver IC's were halved with nearly 41% circuit cost reduction and 5.3% reduction in power consumption without degrading the image quality.

  • This paper proposed the method to improve performance of a pixel, which has low accuracy, by applying image segmentation methods based on color and multi-threshold of brightness. Stereo matching is the process to find the corresponding point on the right image with the point on the left image. For this process, distance(depth) information in stereo images is calculated. However, in the case of a region which has textureless, stereo matching has low accuracy and bad pixels occur on the disparity map. In the proposed method, the relationship between adjacent pixels is considered for compensating bad pixels. Generally, the object has similar color and brightness. Therefore, by considering the relationship between regions based on segmented regions by means of color and multi-threshold of brightness respectively, the region which is considered as parts of same object is re-segmented. According to relationship information of segmented sets of pixels, bad pixels in the disparity map are compensated efficiently. By applying the proposed method, the results show a decrease of nearly 28% in the number of bad pixels of the image applied the method which is established.

  • The almost existing automated pedestrian systems are not well suited to the task of counting pedestrians in outdoor environments, and little is known about their effectiveness and accuracy. In this paper, we proposed a system to count pedestrians in crowds from a outdoor camera. And we describes pedestrian counting which detects and count moving people based pixel counting. This method is intended to estimates the number of people in outdoor environment.

  • By the SOG (System-on-Glass) technology with excimer laser anneal process, the number of IC chips and the area of the mounted IC chips on the printed circuit board are reduced. In new circuit integrations on the glass substrate, we have developed D/A converter including the new capacitor array, amplifier comprising the original comparators and new display device with capturing images by integrated sensor into a pixel. This paper discusses the application of circuit integration of low-temperature poly-Si.

  • The algorithm of calculating NUC table, based on Image data collection, is based on two basic assumptions. These basic assumptions are as follow: one is the NUC is of a linear nature. The other is all pixel see the same statistical distribution for large number of lines. We generated NUC tables for a radiometric calibration & validation of KOMPSAT-2 using a dark cal. Data.

  • In order to assess the estimtions of CN for a small agricultural watershed using the satellite image, TM image from Landsat-5 was classsified by MLC. CN for each pixels in the image was estimaed using the results. For the estimation enhancing , it was tried that each land use area in a pixel was estimated by the mixel assumption and the averaged CN by weight areas. Those resutls were applied for the actual hydrologic analyses were highly concerned with the observed runoff discharge and more enhanced on the mixel assumption.

  • In this paper, we fabricated a pixel array in which each pixel was consisted of Organic Thin Film Transistor (OTFT) serially connected with Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) on Poly-ethylene-terephthalate (PET) substrate and the number of pixels was 64 x 64. As a gate insulator of OTFT, the thermally cross-linked PVP was used and the organic semiconductor, Pentacene, is deposited for an active layer of OTFT considering the compatibility with PET substrate. The mobility of OTFT is $1.0\;cm^2/V{\cdot}sec$ as a discrete device, but it was reduced to $0.1\~0.2\;cm^2/V{\codt}sec$ in the array. We analyzed the operation of the array and confirmed the current driving ability of OTFTs for the OLEDs.

  • The development of computer technology and the advancement of the technology of information and communications spread the technology of multimedia and increased the use of multimedia data with large capacity, Users can grasp the overall video data and they are able to play wanted video back. To grasp the overall video data it is necessary to offer the list of summarized video data information, In order to search video efficiently on index process of video data is essential and it is also indispensable skill, Therefore, this thesis suggested the effective method about the cut detection of frames which will become a basis of an index based on contents of video image data. This suggested method was detected as the unchanging pixel color intelligence value, classified into diagonal direction. Pixel value of color detected in each frame of video data is stored as A(i, j) matrix-i is the number of frames. j is an image height of frame. By using the stored pixel value as the method of sum of squared difference of color two frames I calculated a specified value difference between frames and detected cut quickly and exactly in case it is bigger than threshold value set in advance, To carry out on experiment on the cut detection of frames comprehensively, I experimented on many kinds of video. analyzing and comparing efficiency of the cut detection system.

  • In this paper, we propose a way to detect a moving object efficiently and to track it using the active blocks. Instead of all Pixels in 8*8 Pixel value, any special pixel is extracted and we detect a moving object by comparison and by analysis the difference image information from darkness value of the same area. In the acquisition of image data by software processing, we reduce the number of data which obtain by convert high resolution image to low resolution image, and we can track a moving object in real time. So it can track a moving object in simple system without all the pixel value of the image data or additional VxD(Virtual x Driver). This system can be useful to track of a moving object in fixed block on PC(Personal Computer) and low custom.

  • In this paper, we have proposed the hardware architecture which implements the algorithm for retaining the connectivity which prevents the disconnection in the gray-scale image thinning. To extract the skeleton from the image in a real time, it is necessary to examine the connectivity of the skeleton in a real time. The proposed architecture finds the connectivity number in the 4-clock period. The architecture consists of three blocks, PS(Parallel to Serial) Converter and Stare Generator and Ridge Checker. The PS Converter changes the 3$\times$3 gray level image to four sets of image pixels. The State Generator examines the connectivity of the central pixel by searching the data from the PS Converter. The Ridge Checker determines whether the central pixel is on the skeleton or not. The proposed architecture finds the connectivity of the central pixel in a 3$\times$3 gray level image in the 4-clocks. The total circuits are verified by the design tools and operate correctly.
