Experimental studies were done to research the Clinical effects of Insambakhab-tang on the Anti-allergic effect and pulmonary function of O₃ intoxicated Mice. Anti-allergic effect experiment consisted of vascular permeability responses to intradermal histamine and serotonin, 48hrs homologous passive cutaneous anaphylaxis provoked by the IgE-like antibody against egg white albumin, and delayed type hypersensitivity responses to Picryl Chloride and SRBC. Pulmonary function of O₃ intoxicated Mice experimental consisted of pulmonary thromboembolism (Sodium Arachidonate-induced and ADP-induced), lung TBA value, and serum Na/sup +/, K/sup +/, Cl/sup +/ level. The results obtained as follows; 1. In the effects of Insambakhab-tang on the pulmonary thromboembolism by Sodium Arachidonic acid and ADP, Insambakhab-tang group revealed significant effect. 2. In the effects of Insambakhab-tang on the vascular permeability responses to intradermal histamine, Insambakhab-tang group revealed significant effect. 3. In the effects of Insambakhab-tang on the vascular permeability responses to intradermal serotonine, Insambakhab-tang group revealed significant effect. 4. In the 48hrs homologous passive cutaneous anaphylaxis provoked by the IgE-like antibody against egg white albumin, Insambakhab-tang group revealed significant effect. 5. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses to Picryl Chloride, Insambakhab-tang group revealed significant effect. 6. Insambakhab-tang group revealed significant effect on decrease of the lung TBA value of lung. 7. In the effects of Insambakhab-tang on Serum Na/sup +/, K/sup +/ Level in O₃-intoxicated Mice. Insambakhab-tang group revealed none significant effect, but In the effects of Insambakhab-tang on Serum Cl/sup +/ Level in O₃-intoxicated Mice, Insambakhab-tang group revealed significant effect.

Allergic rhinitis and allergic dermatitis are common allergic diseases. Galgeun-tang has been used for treating various diseases, which include allergic rhinitis and allergic dermatitis. Experimental sutdies have been done to research the anti-allergic effects of Galgeun-tang, Gamigalgeun-tang and Geomahwanggalgeun-tang. We have observed: the vascular permeability response induced by serotonin and histamine, the contact dermatitis response induced by picryl chloride, the delayed type hypersensitivity response to SRC, the mice paw edema induced by carrageenin, and the rectal temperature in febrile rats induced by endotoxin, as well as the writhing syndrome induced by $0.7{\%}$ acetic acid. The results were as follows: 1. In the vascular permeability response to intradermal serotonin and histamine, Galgeun-tang and Gamigalgeun-tang showed a significant inhibitory effect. However Geomahwanggalgeun-tang showed an insignificant inhibitory effect. 2. In the contact dermatitis response induced by picryl chloride, Galgeun-tang and Gamigalgeun-tang showed a signigicant inhibitory effect. However Geomahwanggalgeun-tang showed an insignificant inhibitory effect. 3. In the delayed type hypersensitivity response to SRC, Galgeun-tang, Gamigalgeun-tang and Geomahwanggalgeun-tang showed a significant inhibitory effect. 4. In the mice paw edema induced by carrageenin, Galgeun-tang and Gamigalgeun-tang showed a significant inhibitory effect. However Geomahwanggalgeun-tang showed an insignificant inhibitory effect. 5. In the rectal temperature in febrile rats induced by endotoxin, Galgeun-tang, Gamigalgeun-tang and Geomahwanggalgeun-tang showed a significant inhibitory effect. 6. In the writhing syndrome induced by a $0.7{\%}$ acetic acid solution. Galgeun-tang and Gamigalgeun-tang showed a significant inhibitory effect. However Geomahwanggalgeun-tang showed an insignificant inhibitory effect.

고흥산과 캘리포나이산의 석류나무(Punica granatum L.) 과실을 과육, 종자 및 외과피로 분리하여 부위별 총 페놀성 함량, 안토시아닌 함량, DPPH 라디컬 소거능에 대한 항산화 활성 및 항암활성을 비교 검토하였다. 석류과실의 총 페놀성 함량은 외과피>주스>종자 순으로 유의적인 차이로 높게 나타났다. DPPH 라디컬 소거능은 외과피>주스>종자 순으로 높았고, 특히 외과피의 항산화 활성은 vitamin C와 유사한 활성을 보였다. 폐암세포주(Calu-6)에 대한 추출물의 항암활성은 외과피>종자>과육 순으로 높게 나타났다. 고흥산 석류 과실 부위별 총 안토시아닌 함량은 외과피>주스>종자 순으로 나타났고, 함유된 주요 안토시아닌은 Cy3,5G로서 가장 높은 함량을 보였고 그 다음이 Cy3G,Dp3,5G순으로 높게 나타났다. 총 페놀성 함량과 Calu-6 폐암세포주 활성 간이 $r^2=0.9706$으로 가장 높았고, 그 다음이 총 페놀성 함량과 DPPH 라디컬 소거능 간, DPPH 라디컬 소거능과 Calu-6 폐암세포주 활성 간 순으로 상관계수($r^2$)가 각각 0.8904, 0.8309로 나타나 상호 연관이 있음을 나타냈다.

Experimental studies were done to research the clinical effects of Biahwan and Sutodan on the Anti-allergic Effect in Rats and Mice. The results were summerized as follows; 1. In the 48hours homologous passive cutaneous anaphylaxis in rats provoked by the IgE-like antibody against egg white albumin, Biahwan and Sutodan revealed significant effects. 2. In the effects of Biahwan and Sutodan on vascular permeability responses to intradermal histamine and serotonin in rats, Biahwan revealed significant effect, but Sutodan revealed none significant effect. 3. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses to Picryl Chloride in mice, Biahwan and Sutodan revealed none significant effects. 4. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses to SRBC (Sheep Red Blood Cell) in mice, Biahwan and Sutodan revealed significant effects.

The Effects of Hoichunyanggyuksan on the Anti-allergic Effect, Analgesic Action, Anti-inflammatory Action and Antipyretic Action. Experimental studies were done to research the clinical effects of Hoichunyanggyuksan on the Anti-allergic effect, Analgesic action, Anti-inflammatory action and Antipyretic action. The results obtained as follows; 1. On vascular permeability responses to intradermal histamine, Hoichnyanggyuksan showed significant effect. 2. In the homologous PCA provoked by the IgE-like antibody against white egg albumin, Hoichunyanggyuksan showed the decreasing tendency, but was none significant effect. 3. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses to Picryl chloride, Hoichunyanggyuksan was proved significant effect. 4. In the delayed type hypersensitivity resposes to SRBC, Hoichunyanggyuksan revealed significant effect. 5. In Anti-pyretic action by yeast method, Hoichunyanggyuksan showed significant effect. 6. In Anti-inflammatory action by carrageenin method, Hoichunyanggyuksan showed significant effect. 7. In analgesic action by acetic acid method, Hoichunyanggyuksan was recognized significantly.

In the effect of Hyunggaeyeungyotang on vascular permeability responses to intradermal histamine in rats, Hyunggaeyeugyotang revealed Significant effect. 2. In the effect of Hyunggaeyeungyotang on vascular permeability responses to intradermal serotonin in rats, Hyunggaeyeungyotang revealed significant effect. 3. In the 48hr homologous passive cutaneous anaphylaxis in rats provoked by the IgE-like antibody against egg albumin, Hyunggaeyeungyotang revealed significant effect. 4. In the effect of Hyunggaeyeungyotang on Delayed-type hypersensitivity responses to picryl chloride in mice, Hyunggaeyeungyotang revealed none of significant. 5. In the effect of Hyunggaeyeungyotang on Delayed-type hypersensitivity responses to SRBC in mice, Hyunggaeyeungyotang revealed none of significant. According to above-stated results, Hyunggaeyeungyotang is concluded to be effective as anti-allergic regimen and recommended to be used for treatment of allergic disease.

Experimental studies were done to research the clinical effects of Sopoongyangjetang on the Anti-allergic effect, Analgesic action and Anti-inflammatory action. The results obtained as follows ; 1. In effect of Sopoongyangjetang on vascular permeability responses to intradermal serotonin, it had tendency to decrease, but was none significant effect. 2. In effect of Sopoongyangjetang on vascular permeability responses to intradermal histamine, it revealed significant effect. 3. In the homologous PCA provoked by the IgE-like antibody against white egg albumin, Sopoonyangjetang showed significant effect. 4. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses to picryl chloride, Sopoongyangjetang was proved significant effect. 5. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses to SRBC, Sopoongyangjetang revealed significant effect. 6. In analgesic action by acetic acid method, Sopoongyangjetang was recognized significantly. 7. In Anti-inflammatory action by carrageenine method, Sopoongyangjetang showed significant effect.

보중익기탕이 즉시형 및 지연형 알레르기에 대한 면역 반응에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 항 알레르기에 대한 실험을 즉시형과 지연형으로 구분하여 시행하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다 Compound 48/80 유발 아나필락시스 반응에 미치는 영향은 농도별 실험에서 보중익기탕 투여군은 생존율이 비순차적이었으나 생존율이 증가하였다. 또한 시간의존적 실험에서 보중익기탕 투여군은 다소의 생존율 변화를 보였으며, Compound 48/80 유발 비만세포 탈 과립 율의 측정을 통하여 대조군에 비해 보중익기탕 투여군은 현저하게 유의한 (p<0.005) 감소효과가 인정되었다. Picryl chloride에 의한 접촉성 피부염증 반응에 미치는 효과에 관한 실험과 면양적혈구에 의한 지연형 족부종 반응에 미치는 효과에 관한 실험에서 대조군에 비하여 보중익기탕 투여군은 유의한 억제효과가 인정되었다. 이러한 실험결과에서 보중익기탕이 즉시형 및 지연형 알레르기반응에 있어 모두 효과를 발휘하는 것으로 나타났으며 보중익기탕의 항 알레르기 효과를 질병의 치료에 응용할 수 있을 것으로 생각된다. 또한 향후 지속적인 실험과 연구를 통해 임상적 치료와 활용에 발전이 있을 것이라 사료된다.

본 연구는 황금추출물인 baicalein의 피부알레르기 예방 효과를 알아본 연구로서 baicalein을 투여할 농도에 따라 0 mg/kg(대조군), 50 mg/kg(저용량군), 100 mg/kg(고용량군) 3개의 그룹으로 나누고, ear swelling을 측정하는 1군과 IgE 농도와 histamine 농도의 측정 및 조직병리학적 관찰을 위한 2군으로 나눠 실험을 하였다. Baicalein을 8일에 걸쳐 8회 경구투여를 실시한 후 접촉성 피부알레르기 유발 물질인 PCL을 귀에 감작시켜 알레르기를 유발시키고, 1군에서 ear swelling 변화를 확인하고 2군에서는 1군의 ear swelling의 결과에서 귀의 두께가 최고치를 이루는 시간대에 부검을 실시하여 적출한 조직으로는 HE염색과 TB염색을 실시하여 병변의 유무와 비만세포를 확인하였다. 채취한 혈청으로는 IgE 농도와 histamine 농도를 측정하였다. Ear swelling의 경우 0 mg/kg 농도의 baicalein을 투여한 대조군에 비해 50 mg/kg, 100 mg/kg 농도의 baicalein을 투여한 저용량군과 고용량군 그룹의 귀의 두께 증가폭이 낮게 나타났고, 저용량군보다 고용량군에서 그 증가폭이 낮게 나타났다. IgE 농도와 histamine 농도 측정결과에서도 0 mg/kg 농도의 baicalein을 투여한 대조군에 비해 50 mg/kg, 100 mg/kg 농도의 baicalein을 투여한 저용량군과 고용량군에서 낮은 수치가 나왔다. 조직병리학적 검사결과에서는 육안적으로 모든 그룹의 간과 신장에서는 별다른 병변은 관찰되지 않았고, HE염색을 한 귀 조직에서는 대조군에서 고용량군에 비해 귀의 두께가 두껍게 관찰되었고, TB염색을 한 귀 조직에서는 대조군에 비해 고용량군에서 적은 수의 비만세포들이 관찰되었다. 즉, ear swelling, IgE 농도, histamine 농도 및 조직병리학적 결과를 종합해봤을 때 황금추출물인 baicalein이 접촉성 피부알레르기 예방효과가 있다고 판단되어지고, 향후 baicalein은 항알레르기 치료제로 사용되는 생약제의 주요 성분으로 유용할 것이라 사료된다.

Pulmonary function of $O_3$ intoxicated Rats experiment consisted of lung TBA value, water Contents of the lung, oxygen consumption time, and arterial blood $pCO_2,\;pO_2,\;HCO_3^-$, pH level. The results obtained as follows; 1. In the effects of Chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang on vascular permeability responses to intradermal histamine, both of chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang group revealed significant effect. 2. In the effects of Chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang on vascular permeability responses to intradermal serotonin, both of chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang group revealed significant effect. 3. In the 48hrs homologous passive cutaneous anaphylaxis provoked by the IgE-like antibody against egg white albumin, Chihyosan groups revealed significant effect, but Chihyosangamibang groups revealed none significant effect. 4. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses to Picryl Chloride, Chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang groups revealed none significant effect. 5. In the delayed type hypersensitivity responses to. SRBC, Chihyosan revealed none significant effect, but Chihyosankamibang revealed significant effect. 6. Both of Chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang groups revealed significant effect on decrease of the lung TBA value of lung. 7. Both of Chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang groups revealed significant effect on decrease of the water contents of right and left lung. 8. Both of Chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang groups revealed significant effect on decrease of oxygen consumption time. 9. In the decrease effect of arterial blood $pCO_2$ level, both of Chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang groups revealed none significant effect. 10. In the increase effect of arterial blood $pO_2$ level, both of Chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang groups revealed none significant effect. 1. In the decrease effect of arterial blood $HCO_3^-$ level, both of Chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang groups revealed significant effect. 12. In the increase of arterial blood pH level, Chihyosangamibang groups revealed none significant effect, but Chihyosan groups revealed significant effect. According to above stated results, both of Chihyosan and Chihyosangamibang are very usefully for treatment of cough, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases and allergic pulmonary diseases.
