In the late 19th century and early 20th century, Among those of the Northeast Asia three countries, school physical education and military-style gymnastics of Chosun can be regarded as having been the most nationalistic. The adoption of modern physical education in public schools was from the proclamation of 'the Order on Building the Country through Education by King Gojong in February 1895. This paper intends to examine the process of adopting military-style gymnastics education which played the central role in school physical education in the late Chosun period. But, unlike the common guess that military-style gymnastics in public schools in late Chosun would have been full of patriotism and nationalism, the textbooks and teaching contents of Chosun Military Officers' School were very similar to those of Japan, which is an unexpected fact. Therefore, Chosun decided to accept the Japanese-type military-style gymnastics and military training to improve physical strength of youngsters and military power. The fact that, with the advent of modern education, physical education was emphasized above all else has a very important meaning to the history of Korean physical education. Physical activity education emerged as a major education course which had been unthinkable in previous ages. The second characteristics is that the process of adopting military-style gymnastics and its contents were influenced by Japan Third, even if military-style gymnastics was imported from Japan as part of school physical education course in late Chosun period, its aim was to train military man powers for the independence movement against Japan, rather than to develop harmonious body.
The aim of this study to present useful information on effective space composition by understanding education process of a preschool for children's education and required interior space for this process. The 6th education process of a preschool as the criteria on this study would be classified into 5 spheres as follows : Health life, Social life, Expression life, Language life. survey life. And the required interior space would largely be classified into interesting sphere and home sphere. As a result of analyzing the space composition, we can draw conclusion as follows : First, the interior spaces for properly doing children's education process have close relations. So, each sphere too independent or too unified is not good. That is to say, each sphere has closely organic connection for enhancing efficiency. Secondly, children's service spaces are considered to in children's education process. And the space had better be made for children only considering their physical states. Finally, we have to in advance process. And the space had better be made for children only considering their physical states. Finally, we have to in advance understand educational aim and program because space composition can be changed according to the aim of education process.

In a service process, the customer typically experiences two types of interactions; one is interaction with the physical ambiance (servicescape) and the other is with employees who may be responsible for the service process quality. The literature in general supports that process quality is a critical determinant for overall service quality and customer satisfaction. In this paper, we primarily examine how the servicescape intervenes the association between process quality and employee/customer satisfaction. The proposed models are tested. using the data collected from the major golf courses in Korea. The results suggest that improving process quality and servicescape have a positive influence on employee/customer satisfaction directly and/or indirectly, but the effect of servicescape may be stronger in the case of golf course businesses. Servicescape also contributes to improving process quality by enhancing employee satisfaction. These results collectively indicate that management emphasis on improving service quality without renovating physical surroundings may results in unsatisfactory outcome.
Purpose: This study sought to identify the effect of various types of communication by physical therapists on patient satisfaction and revisit intention. Methods: A total of 212 patients who received physical therapy in Seoul and the Gyeonggi province were surveyed on patient satisfaction and revisit intentions depending on the types of communication by physical therapists. Frequency and correlation analyses were conducted to process the data using the SPSS 22.0 program, and the AMOS 18.0 statistical package was used for confirmatory factor analysis. A structural equation modeling analysis was also performed to verify the model and the hypothesis that was set up in the present paper. Results: The survey showed that patient satisfaction correlates positively and significantly with patient-centric communication, physical factors, and spatial behavior. A significant negative correlation was also found between patient satisfaction and therapist-centered communication. Patient satisfaction positively correlated with revisit intentions. Conclusion: These results showed that there was a positive correlation between the communication of the physical therapist and the satisfaction recognized by a patient. This implies that the patient satisfaction with a physical therapist increases as the communication skills of a physical therapist improve. These findings suggest that a physical therapist must adopt patient-centric communication styles, physical factors, and spatial behavior. This study was important as it generated basic data for the formation of a therapeutic relationship through efficient and promotional communication skills. It recognizes the importance of communication between a physical therapist and a patient as the indispensable factor for interaction.
Interest in mannual therapy appears to continue to grow among physical therapists. The term 'mannual therapy' has traditionally been associated with physical therapists who examine and treat Patients who have disorders related to the neuro-muscular-articular system.. The manipulative means skilled and specialised use of manual and/or mechanically applied movement techniques, as a part of comprehensive orthopaedic physical therapy for disorders of the moving parts of body. Physical therapists use a large variety of manually applied examination procedures as part of the clincal decision-making process. The purpose of this article is to define and clarify the basic concepts of mannual therapy by comparing the geneal concepts and evaluation schemes of James Cyriax, John McM. Mennell, Geoffrey Maitland, Freddy Kaltenborn, Robin McKenzie, and Ola Grimsby. This article stresses the importance of developing stills in evaluation. Gimsby's approch is presented as a example of modem mannual therapy.
Ilizarov limb lengthening has been the new method to deal with a variety of orthopaedic problems. Ilizarov apparatus consists of stainless steel rings that surround the limb and are interconnected by threaded rods. Tensioned wires pierce the bone in the plane of each ring and are tightly attached to the ring. Ilizarov has reported distraction osteogenesis with the use of the typical fixator that allows functional loading. The purpose of this commentary is to introduce a four-stage rehabilitation protocol currently used by the authors in the physical therapy management of a post -limb lengthening. Each treament stage corresponds to a medical stage in the lengthening process. Treatment goals for each of the physical therapy treatment stage are presented to guide treatment planning. Two case examples are presented to illustrate the use of the management goals in treatment planning.
For the evaluation of the mobile robot performance in complex environments, the experimental approach in an actual physical environment has been commonly taken. In the physical experimental approach, however, it is quite difficult to define the proper environment for the evaluation due to the lack of commonly agreed characteristics of the test environment. Particularly the number of combinations of types and physical parameters of the obstacles that the mobile robot is expected to deal with is practically unlimited. In an effort to simplify and improve the effectiveness of the evaluation process, we propose an evaluation method using decomposed environmental elements, where we evaluated the performance of the robot for a small group of simple and decomposed obstacle components, for examples projection and slope, instead of a large group of complicated random obstacles. The paper describes a set of simple obstacle models and performance parameters that we have chosen for the effective evaluation process. As an alternative to the physical experimental evaluation approach, in this paper, we used a virtual evaluation environment where the robot and the physical test environment has been modeled using a commercial multi-body dynamics analysis packaged called RecurDyn.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the environment of poverty children as reported by the children on a questionnaire. The conception of the environment was divided into the physical environment and the sociopsychological environment. The dimensions of the physical environment included household, cultural, and play conditions. The sociopsychological environment included structural (family values, family relationships, and the reinforcement system) and process variables(affect, care, and communication). For the purpose of this survey was administered to 122 children living in a poverty area and 102 children living in a middle-high income area. Statistics used for data analysis were frequency, distribution, percentile, mean and one-way ANOVA. Major findings showed that (1) The physical environment as reported by the poverty children was meager compared with that of children in the middle-high income area: the households were more overcrowded, and cultural conditions, play materials, and space was more limited. (2) The Structural conditions of the sociopsychological environment as perceived by poverty children were more material and physical than that of children in the middle-high income area: family values were oriented more toward materialism: family relationships were more negative and distant: and the reinforcement system was based more on material reward and physical punishment. (3) Process variables were perceived by poverty children as more laissez-faire and rigid; the parents neglected their children and communicated unilaterally more than the middle-high income parents. (4) Poverty children's perception of the causes of poverty and wealth were perceived as personal and social factors.
In this work, we prepared the activated multi-walled carbon nanotubes (Acti-MWNTs) with well developed physical surface structures, high specific surface area, and higher adsorption capacity by a physical activation process, in order to enhance the hydrogen storage capacity. The Acti-MWNTs' changes in the crystalline phase and in their lattice distortions were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The textural properties of the Acti-MWNTs were investigated by a nitrogen adsorption isotherms by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) equation and Harvath-Kawazoe (H-K) calculation, respectively. The hydrogen storage capacity of the Acti-MWNTs was investigated by BEL-HP at 298 K/100 bar. The hydrogen storage capacity of the Acti-MWNTs was improved with the physical activation, resulted from the formation of new hydrogen-favorable sites on the Acti-MWNT surfaces. In conclusion, the physical activation was one of the effective method to enhance the hydrogen storage capacity of the MWNTs.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of serratus anterior strengthening exercises on scapular position and Visual Analog Scale (VAS) pain measurements taken at the resting position in young adults with adducted scapular. The exercise program included stretching of the scapular retractor and strengthening of the serratus anterior muscle. We measured the distance from the midline of the thorax to the vertebral border of the scapular with a tape line (Superior Kibler), and the distance from the 7th cervical spinous process to the acromial angle with 3-dimension motion analysis system, to compare the resting scapular position before and after exercise. Fifteen subjects with adducted scapular were recruited to compare the resting scapular position and VAS. The distance from 7th cervical spine process to acromial angle of the scapular and VAS decreased significantly (p<.01) after exercise, while the distance from the midline of the thorax to vertebral border of the scapular increased (p<.05). The conclusion is that the serratus anterior exercise program altered the resting scapular position and decreased VAS.
