Injection of microbubbles within the turbulent boundary layer has been investigated for several years as a method to achieve drag reduction. However, the physical mechanism of this phenomenon is not yet fully understood. Experiments in a channel flow for single phase (water) and two phase (water and microbubbles) flows with various void fraction values are studied for a Reynolds number of 5128 based on the half height of the channel and bulk velocity. The state-of-the art Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) measurement technique is used to measure the instantaneous full-field velocity components. Comparisons between turbulent statistical quantities with various values of local void fraction are presented to elucidate the influence of the microbubbles presence within the boundary layer. A decrease in the Reynolds stress distribution and turbulence production is obtained with the increase of microbubble concentration. The results obtained indicate a decorrelation of the streamwise and normal fluctuating velocities when microbubbles are injected within the boundary layer.
It is very important to interprete and simulate the variation of phytoplankton maximum region for the prediction and control of red tide. This study was composed of two parts first the hydrodynamic simulation such as residual current and salinity diffusion and second the ecological simulation such as phytoplankton distribution according to freshwater discharge and pollutant loads. Without the Nakdong river discharge residual current was stagnated in inner side of this estuary and surface distribution of salinity was over 25psu. On the contrary with summer mean discharge freshwater stretched very far outward and some waters flowed into Chinhae Bay through the Kadok channel and low salinity extended over coastal sea and salinity front occurred. From the result of contributed physical process to phytioplankton biomass the accumulation was occurred at the west part of this estuary and the Kadok channel with the Nakdong river discharge. When more increased input discharge the accumulation band was transported to outer side of this estuary. The frequently outbreak of red tide in this area is caused by accumulation of physical processes. The phytoplankton maximum region located inner side of this estuary without the Nakdong river discharge and with mean discharge of winter but it was moved to outer side when mean discharge of the Nakdong river was increased. The variation of input concentration from the land loads was not largely influenced on phytoplankton biomass and location of maximum region. When discharge was increased phytoplankton maximum region was transferred to inner side of the Kadok channel. ON the other hand when discharge was decreased phytoplankton maximum region was transferred to inner side of this estuary and chlorophyll a contents increased to over 20$\mu\textrm{g}$/L Therefore if any other conditions are favorable for growth of phytoplankton. decreas of discharge causes to increase of possibility of red tide outbreak.

The purpose of this study is to present an alternative improving the efficient and reasonable of the physical distribution system management is influenced by many factors. Therefore, the study depends on the documentary method and survey method to achieve the purpose of this study. The major components of a physical distribution system are refers to as elements, include warehouse·storage system, transportation system, inventory system, physical distribution information system. The factors used in this study are ① factor of product(quality·A/S·added value of product·adaption of product·technical competitive power to other enterprises), ② factor of market(market channel·kinds of customer·physical distribution share), ③ factor of warehouse·storage(warehouse design·size·direction·storage ability·warehouse quality), ④ factor of transportation(promptness·reliability·responsibility·kinds of transportation·cooperation united transportation system·national transportation network), ⑤ factor of packaging (packaging design·material·educating program·pollution degree measure program), ⑥ factor of inventory(ordinary inventory criterion·consistence for inventories record), ⑦ factor of unloaded(unloaded machine·having machine ratio), ⑧ factor of information system (physical distribution quantity analysis·usable computer part), ⑨ factor of physical distribution cost(sales ratio to product) ⑩ factor of physical distribution system(physical distribution center etc). The implication of this study can be summarized as follows: ① In firms that have not adopted a systems integrative approach, physical distribution is a fragmented and often uncoordinated set of activities spread throughout various functions with function having its own set of priorities and measurements. ② The physical distribution is recognized as more an important strategic factor than a simple cost reduction factor, ③ It can be used a strategic competition tool to enterprise.

In this study, the flow resistance coefficient was calculated considering the physical properties and distribution characteristics of floodplain vegetation, and the effect of floodplain vegetation distribution on flow characteristics was analyzed by reflecting it in a two-dimensional numerical simulation. The three-dimensional point clouds of vegetation acquired using ground lidar were analyzed to apply floodplain vegetation's physical properties to the existing formula for vegetation flow resistance calculation. The floodplain vegetation distribution in the modeling was divided into locally distributed and fully distributed conditions in the floodplain. As a result of the simulation of the study site, the flow resistance coefficient of floodplain vegetation was found to have a value of about five times or more compared to the flow resistance coefficient of the main channel bed when the design flood occurs based on Manning's n coefficient. Also, it affected the hydraulic characteristics in the main channel and floodplain.
As the dot-com companies realize the importance of the traditional business operations such as product distribution and sourcing, the task of balancing business strategy and operations between electronic commerce and"bricks St mortar"channels is an ongoing challenge. However, there are no generic recipes for formulating business strategy that optimally bridges the physical and virtual operations. In order to provide some guidelines, this study examines the big 3 retailers in Korea, and their"clicks & mortar"strategy, assessing how the activities of each channel are integrated to achieve the synergy effect. This study analyzes the differences in the pattern of integration among the three retailers and traces the causes of those differences. It also figures out the relationship between the degree of integration and performance variables such as growth and cost. Finally. it defines the essential constraints on the process of integration along with managerial implications.
Recently the recongnition of Logistics becomes important to enterpries as a means for improving their competition, but the Korea enterpries falls for far behind in management techniques for analyzing realities and problems in the Logistics compare to the advanced countries. Especially the function of inventory control which is most undeveloped in them should be improved in Korea. Inventory is very important in Logistics, but there exists trade-off between inventory level and customer in the service level. It is difficult to coordinate both the reduction in the inventory level and the enhancement in the service level. Its effective technique is a DRP system. In general, it deals with arborescent distribution network in which a given channel member has a single source of supply. This article aims to present a DRP system, and more a DRP system which is flexible and responsive in the multisourcing, multi-echelon distribution network. Related research issues are discussed. Finally, using a DRP system on logistics and the management performance. So we can help the physical distribution improvement of the Korean enterprises.

Whereas recent researches have elucidated the positive ecological roles of large wood (LW) in fishbearing channels, LW is also recognized as a negative factor of log-laden debris flows and floods in densely populated areas. However in Republic of Korea, no study has investigated longitudinal variations of LW distribution and dynamic along the stream corridor. Hence to elucidate 1) physical factors controlling longitudinal distribution of LW and 2) their effect on variation in LW load amount, we surveyed the amount of LW with respect to channel morphology in a mountain stream, originated from Mt. Ki-ryong in Inje, Gangwondo. Model selection in the Generalized Linear Model procedure revealed that number of boulder (greater than or equal to 1.0 m in diameter), bankfull channel width and their interaction were the best predictors explaining LW load volume per unit channel segment area (unit LW load). In general, boulders scattered within small mountain streams influence LW retention as flow obstructions. However, in this study, we found that the effect of the boulders vary with the channel width; that is, whereas the unit LW load in the segment with narrow channel width increased continuously with increasing boulder number, it in the segment with wide channel width did not depend on the boulder number. This should be because that, in two channels having different widths, the rates of channel widths reduced by boulders are different although boulder numbers are same. Our findings on LW load varying with physical factors (i.e., interaction of boulder number and channel width) along the stream corridor suggest understanding for longitudinal continuum of hydrogeomorphic and ecologic characteristics in stream environments, and these should be carefully applied into the erosion control works for systematic watershed management and subsequent disaster prevention.

Guaranteeing the end-to-end delay deadline is an important issue for quality of service (QoS) of delay sensitive systems, such as real-time system, networked control system (NCS), and cyber-physical system (CPS). Most routing algorithms typically use the mean end-to-end delay as a performance metric and select a routing path that minimizes it to improve average performance. However, minimum mean delay is an insufficient routing metric to reflect the characteristics of the unpredictable wireless channel condition because it only represents average value. In this paper, we proposes a deadline-aware routing algorithm that maximizes the probability of packet arrival within a pre-specified deadline for CPS by considering the delay distribution rather than the mean delay. The proposed routing algorithm constructs the end-to-end delay distribution in a given network topology under the assumption of the single hop delay follows an exponential distribution. The simulation results show that the proposed routing algorithm can enhance QoS and improve networked control performance in CPS by providing a routing path which maximizes the probability of meeting the deadline.
In-stream vegetation is an essential element of a stream channel. Vegetation plays an important role in flood control and the natural environment in stream channels. This research investigates the relationship between in-stream vegetation and stream changes. This study investigates the distribution characteristic of vegetation in some rivers of Korea. Although there are many physical factors that cause changes to streams, this research verified that in-stream vegetation caused sediment deposition. A hydraulic model experiment was conducted. Tests were conducted in a simulated gravel bed stream (bed slope 1/200) with Phragmites japonica. The average diameter of the bed load used was 0.3 mm and 27 kg were uniformly supplied for 1 hour under same hydraulic conditions. The deposition and scouring as well as the change of flow differed according to the density and arrangement of the Phragmites japonica. In-stream vegetation and stream channel change are closely related because deposition and scouring affects the distribution of vegetation.
