전도성 페이스트 도포량 변화에 따른 결정질 태양광 모듈의 전기적 특성에 대한 영향성 분석 (Influence of the Amount of Conductive Paste on the Electrical Characteristics of c-Si Photovoltaic Module)

  • Recently, research on cost reduction and efficiency improvement of crystalline silicon(c-Si) photovoltaic(PV) module has been conducted. In order to reduce costs, the thickness of solar cell wafers is becoming thinner. If the thickness of the wafer is reduced, cracking of wafer may occur in high temperature processes during the c-Si PV module manufacturing process. To solve this problem, a low temperature process has been proposed. Conductive paste(CP) is used for low temperature processing; it contains Sn57.6Bi0.4Ag component and can be electrically combined with solar cells and ribbons at a melting point of $150^{\circ}C$. Use of CP in the PV module manufacturing process can minimize cracks of solar cells. When CP is applied to solar cells, the output varies with the amount of CP, and so the optimum amount of CP must be found. In this paper, in order to find the optimal CP application amount, we manufactured several c-Si PV modules with different CP amounts. The amount control of CP is fixed at air pressure (500 kPa) and nozzle diameter 22G(outer diameter 0.72Ø, inner 0.42Ø) of dispenser; only speed is controlled. The c-Si PV module output is measured to analyze the difference according to the amount of CP and analyzed by optical microscope and Alpha-step. As the result, the optimum amount of CP is 0.452 ~ 0.544 g on solar cells.

단독 주택의 제로에너지건축물 인증을 위한 태양광시스템 최적화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Optimization of Photovoltaic System for the ZEB Certification in Detached Housing)

  • As part of the government's energy policy, Zero Energy Building certification was launched on January of 2017. However, the three passive-housing rental housing projects are the only ZEB-certified detached housing since the certification's launch. The reason is that, in order for a detached housing to earn ZEB certification, it has to secure self-reliance in energy, and a photovoltaic system is the only viable renewable energy system. Therefore, conducting an analysis to optimize the photovoltaic system in an early design stage is strongly recommended. This study aimed to propose an optimal photovoltaic system design for a detached housing after analyzing through the ECO2 energy simulation of 44 cases, varying in a module type and efficiency, inclination and azimuth. As a result, 15 cases out of 44 cases were analyzed to satisfy ZEB evaluation criteria, and it is thought that these data could contribute greatly to the expansion of ZEB certification dissemination.

대학건물의 전력소비패턴 분석을 통한 태양광, ESS 적정용량 산정 및 경제적 효과 분석 (Calculation of Photovoltaic, ESS Optimal Capacity and Its Economic Effect Analysis by Considering University Building Power Consumption)

  • Recently, the importance of energy demand management, particularly peak load control, has been increasing due to the policy changes of the Second Energy Basic Plan. Even though the installation of distributed generation systems such as Photovoltaic and energy storage systems (ESS) are encouraged, high initial installation costs make it difficult to expand their supply. In this study, the power consumption of a university building was measured in real time and the measured power consumption data was used to calculate the optimal installation capacity of the Photovoltaic and ESS, respectively. In order to calculate the optimal capacity, it is necessary to analyze the operation methods of the Photovoltaic and ESS while considering the KEPCO electricity billing system, power consumption patterns of the building, installation costs of the Photovoltaic and ESS, estimated savings on electric charges, and life time. In this study, the power consumption of the university building with a daily power consumption of approximately 200kWh and a peak power of approximately 20kW was measured per minute. An economic analysis conducted using these measured data showed that the optimal capacity was approximately 30kW for Photovoltaic and approximately 7kWh for ESS.

  • The Korean electric power supply plan was prepared by greatly enhancing the environmental and safety with considering the economical efficiency of the electric equipment, the impact on the environment and the public safety. As a result, the fossil energy-based power generation sector is accelerating the paradigm shift to eco-friendly energy such as solar power and wind. Also the solar power industry is expected to grow into a super large-sized industry by converging the energy storage and electric vehicle industry. Generally, a levelized cost of electricity (LCOE) is used to calculate the power generation cost for different generation power generation efficiency, operating cost, and life span. In this paper, we have studied the future research and development direction of photovoltaic technology development for the era of massive utilization of photovoltaic solar power, and have studied the LCOE of major countries including China, USA, Germany, Japan and Korea. Finally we have reviewed USA and Japan research programs to reduce the LCOE.

태양전지와 LED 조명을 이용한 가정용식물공장 시스템 실증시험 (An Experimental Study on Plant Factory System Applied Photovoltaic System and LED Lighting)

  • Plant factory industry as a new agriculture is in the spotlight. In this paper, we experimented plant factory applied photovoltaic system and LED lighting. For growing the plant, red, blue and white LED were placed into 1:4:3. Electric power generated by the photovoltaic system was supplied on DC power supply instead of AC. The designed and experimented power generation amount per day of photovoltaic system were 2,860 Wh and 2,272 Wh respectively. Plant has not been grown at the dead space of LED lighting so it is required to array LED lighting.

  • The photovoltaic(PV) industry has been growing worldwide. Recently, the PV industries not also in the traditional PV advanced countries but also in other countries are rapidly growing. Especially, China has become the largest supplier in the world PV supply side since 2007. Both the world PV supply and demand rose steadily in 2008 like recent bumper years. In 2008, the world solar cell production reached 6.85GW~7.91GW presenting growth of 85% over the previous year. On the demand side, 81 countries contributed to the 5.95GW presenting growth of 110% over the previous year.

  • The glass for crystalline PV module fabrication should have high thermal and mechanical resistance to environmental also have high transparency. In this paper, we analyze the optical characteristics of glasses for photovoltaic module application. The transmittance of several glasses are measured. The effects of texturing on low iron glass, glass thickness, anti-reflective glass, photocatalyst-treated glass and special glass are compared each other. Then this will give some information to select PV glass for manufacturing. The detailed analysis is described in the following paper.

  • In this paper. we analyze electrical characteristics of photovoltaic module according to mechanical load test. Using the equipment for giving load on the surface of module, dark current-voltage is measured. By varying load from 0kg to 206kg, slight different I-V curve is detected. From this, reduced shunt resistance is roughly calculated and micro crack is assumed to be happened. system Through this experiment, periodic external force on PV module might give an negative effect.   • The amount of incident rays over inclination according to direction has been widely utilized as important data in installing photovoltaic systems. This is because the performance of the photovoltaic systems in much affected by angle and direction of incident rays. Recognizing that factors mentioned above are of importance, actual experiment on the moving route of the sun have been performed in this research to obtain the angle of inclination with which the maximum incident rays can be absorbed. After all, the standard for designing highly optimized photovoltaic systems will be provided for designers and employees working in the photovoltaic module related industries.
