The photovoltaic(PV) industry has been growing worldwide. Recently, the PV industries not also in the traditional PV advanced countries but also in other countries are rapidly growing. Especially, China has become the largest supplier in the world PV supply side since 2007. Both the world PV supply and demand rose steadily in 2008 like recent bumper years. In 2008, the world solar cell production reached 6.85GW~7.91GW presenting growth of 85% over the previous year. On the demand side, 81 countries contributed to the 5.95GW presenting growth of 110% over the previous year.

The building integrated photovoltaic system (BIPV) attracts attention with regard to the future of the photovoltaic (PV) industry. It is because one of the promising national and civilian projects in the country. Since land area is limited, there is considerable interest in BIPV systems with a variety of angles and shapes of PV panels. It is therefore expected to be one of the major fields for the PV industry in the future. Since the irradiation is different from each installation angle, the output can be predicted by the angles. This is critical for a PV system to be operated at maximum power and use an efficient design. The development characteristics of tilted angles based on data results obtained via long-term monitoring need to be analyzed. The ratio of the theoretically available and actual outputs is compared with the installation angles of each PV module to provide a suitable PV system for the user.

The photovoltaic (PV) industry, which occupies about 80% share of domestic new and renewable energy (NRE) sales, has played an important role in the development of the Korean NRE industry. This was made possible by the government's implementation of the 3rd Basic New and Renewable Energy Plan, which promoted strategic PV R&D, infrastructure building, and a variety of PV deployment programs. For instance, 'One Million Green Homes', 'Feed in Tariff', and 'Renewable Portfolio Standards' programs contributed greatly to the dissemination of PV systems in the country. Furthermore, these programs were supported with more than 380 billion Won over 6 year period (2007~2012). The strategic PV R&D contributed to the fast follow-up in commercial technologies. Because of the recent, sharp decline in PV prices caused by oversupply and economic crisis in European countries, both foreign and domestic PV companies are going through painful restructuring. Under these circumstances, the Korean PV industry needs to find a new strategy for making a breakthrough, and in this sense a proactive role of the Korean government is desperately needed.

With PV market extension, Operation & Maintenance (O&M) went on the floor as an effective method so solve the reduction phenomenon of Performance Ratio (PR) of PV power plant and as a new business model of photovoltaic industry. This study chose institutionalization of O&M to vitalize domestic photovoltaic industry improving level of photovoltaic technology and dominate the market in advance. The result of analyzing advanced researches and domestic cases indicates that O&M is essential of operating PV power plant, therefore, now is the time for a systematic approach to establish O&M policy.

In recent years, the photovoltaic(PV) industries have been increasing steadily above averaged $30\%$. Japan, USA and Europe have been playing a leading part in photovoltaic industry. In this paper, we review status of the global PV market and distribution around these countries. From the results, we will intend to supply the useful materials for domestic PV distribution.

The global photovoltaic(PV) market is increasing at an annual rate of about $30\%$. A major share of the market has been taken up by building integrated photovoltaic. This paper presents an overview about status of the PV distribution programs for appling to building in the domestic and Japan, USA and Europe which have been playing a leading part in photovoltaic industry. From the results of this paper, we will intend to suggest a suitable future course for domestic PV distribution.
