산성배수 비탈면의 생태적 녹화를 위한 산성배수 중화기법 연구 (A Study on the Acid Drainage Neutralizing System for Ecological Vegetation on the Acid Drainage Slope)

  • 산성배수가 발생하는 비탈면에서 생태적 녹화를 위한 산성배수 중화기법을 알아보기 위한 연구를 진행하였다. 산성배수중화기법을 위한 4가지 유형의(무처리, 석회고토 처리, 인산염 처리, 석회고토 + 인산염 처리) 시험구를 조성하였다. 실험결과 산도(pH), 피복율(%), 고사율(%), 식물뿌리상태 등에서 중화기법에 따른 유의차가 발생하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 중화기법에 따른 연구결과 (첫 번째 : 석회고토 + 인산염 처리, 두 번째 : 인산염 처리, 세 번째 : 석회고토 처리, 네 번째 : 무처리) 순서로 산도 중화 및 식물생장에 효과적이었다. 산성배수 비탈면에서 석회고토 처리와 인산염 처리는 토양산도 중화와 식물생장에 효과적이었으나, 석회고토 처리에 비해 인산염 처리가 더 효과적이었으며, 인산염 처리가 황화광물의 코팅 효과 때문에 토양산도 중화와 식물 생장에 더 효과적이라는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • The matrices which consisted of SiC whisker, PES(polyesterasulfone) as a binder, span 80(sorbitan monooleate) as a surfactant, TPP(triphenyl phosphate) as a plasticizer and dichloromethane as a solvent, have been prepared by the various methods such as tape casting, rolling, tape cast-coating and roll-coating method. The fuel cells of single stack type using these matrices are characterized by ac impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry technique. A fuel cell using a matrix prepared by the tape cast-coating method shows the best performance of 466.34 mA/$\textrm{cm}^2$ at 0.6V because it has the lowest polarization resistance at the interface between electrodes and a matrix due to the largest three phase contact region of gases, catalyst and electrolyte.

Characteristics in Paintability of Advanced High Strength Steels

  • It is expected that advanced high strength steels (AHSS) would be widely used for vehicles with better performance in automotive industries. One of distinctive features of AHSS is the high value of carbon equivalent (Ceq), which results in the different properties in formability, weldability and paintability from those of common grade of steel sheets. There is an exponential relation between Ceq and electric resistance, which seems also to have correlation with the thickness of electric deposition (ED) coat. Higher value of Ceq of AHSS lower the thickness of ED coat of AHSS. Some elements of AHSS such as silicon, if it is concentrated on the surface, affect negatively the formation of phosphates. In this case, silicon itself doesn't affect the phosphate, but its oxide does. This phenomenon is shown dramatically in the welding area. Arc welding or laser welding melts the base material. In the process of cooling of AHSS melt, the oxides of Si and Mn are easily concentrated on the surface of boundary between welded and non‐welded area because Si and Mn could be oxidized easier than Fe. More oxide on surface results in poor phosphating and ED coating. This is more distinctive in AHSS than in mild steel. General results on paintability of AHSS would be reported, being compared to those of mild steel.

폴리인산 암모늄과 HMDI 기반으로 제조된 수분산 폴리우레탄 수지의 물리적 특성 연구 (Physical Properties of Water Dispersion Polyurethane Resin Based on Ammonium Poly Phosphate and HMDI)

  • 본 연구에서는 폴리인산암모늄 인산염과 HMDI로 합성된 수분산 폴리우레탄수지의 물리적 특성을 필름 시료와 피혁(Full-Grain) 표면에 코팅을 하여 물리적 특성 변화를 연구하였다. 내용제성은 모든 시료에서 변확 없음을 확인 할수 있었으며, 인장강도의 경우 폴리인산암모늄이 가장 많이 함유된 DPU-AP3(1.887 kgf/㎟)가 가장 낮은 물성을 보였다. 연실율은 폴리인산암모늄 많이 함유된 시료가 548%로 측정되었다. 내마모성은 폴리인산암모늄이 많이 함유된 시료가 548 mg.loss로 측정되어 폴리인산 암모늄과 수분산 폴리우레탄의 블랜딩된 수지의 물성변화가 확인되었다.

Surface Characteristics and Biocompatibility of Titanium Coated with Dentin-derived Hydroxyapatite

  • The aim of this study was to evaluate surface characteristics and biological properties of the dentin -derived hydroxyapatite (HA) coating on titanium substrate. Dentinderived HA was obtained from extracted human teeth using a calcination method at $850^{\circ}C$. The commercially pure titanium (cp-Ti, ASTM Grade II) was used as a metallic substrate and a radio frequency magnetron sputtering method was employed as a coating method. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX) were utilized to investigate the coating aspects and composition. Atomic forced microscopy (AFM) and a surface profiler were used to assess the surface morphology and roughness. Corrosion tests were performed in phosphate-buffered saline at a $36.5{\pm}1^{\circ}C$ in order to determine the corrosion behavior of the uncoated and coated specimens. The biocompatibility of dentin-derived HA coated specimens with fetal rat calvarial cells and human gingival fibroblasts was assessed by SEM and cell proliferation analysis. The results showed that the dentin-derived HA coatings appeared to cover thinly and homogeneously the surfaces without changing of the titanium substrate. The EDX analysis of this the coating surface indicated the presence of Ca and P elements. The mean surface roughness of cp-Ti and dentin-derived coating specimens was $0.27{\mu}m$ and, $1.7{\mu}m$, respectively. Corrosion tests indicated a stable passive film of the dentin-derived HA coating specimens. SEM observations of fetal rat calvarial cells and human fibroblast cells on coated surfaces showed that the cells proliferated and developed a network of dense interconnections. The cells on all specimens proliferated actively within the culture period, showing good cell viability. At day 1 and 3, dentin-derived coating specimens showed 89% and 93% cell viability, respectively, when normalized to cp-Ti specimens. These results suggest that dentin-derived HA coating using the RF magnetron sputtering method has good surface characteristics and biocompatibility.

PVC 바닥상재용 광경화형 내열 코팅액의 제조 및 응용에 관한 연구 (Manufacture and Application of UV-Cured Anti-cigar burning Coating Compounds for PVC Tile)

  • 본 연구는 건축용 바닥재로 널리 이용되는 PVC 상재의 표면을 열에 의한 손상으로부터 보호하기 위하여 기존에 사용하는 광경화형 우레탄-아크릴 수지에 내열성(anti-cigar burning)을 향상시킨 광경화형 수성도료 개발에 관한 것이다. PVC 바닥상재용으로 사용되는 내열기능성이 없는 우레탄-아크릴 수지에 인계화합물을 주원료로 합성한 내열재, 구아니딘을 주원료로 합성한 내열재, 일시적 방염제로 사용되는 제 2인산암모늄을 수지의 양 대비 함량(wt%)을 10, 20, 30%로 변화하여 첨가한 후 배합하여 수지의 내열성을 향상시킨 코팅액을 제조하였다. 제조한 코팅액은 코팅층의 두께조절이 가능한 Bar-coating을 사용하여 PVC 바닥상재에 코팅한 후, 내열성, 부착력, 내화학성, 코팅두께 등의 코팅층 표면물성을 평가하였다. 연구결과, 수지에 인계화합물을 주원료로 합성한 내열재 30%를 혼합하여 제조한 코팅액을 Bar-coater No.12로 코팅한 코팅표면이 열에 의한 손상이 가장 적고, 부착력 100%, 내화학성 양호로 가장 좋은 물성을 보였다. 전반적으로 내열재 함량이 높고, 코팅 두께가 두꺼울수록 내열성이 우수한 것으로 나타났다.

Competitive Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay for Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase

  • To construct a competitive ELISA standard curve for the detection of glucose-6-phosphate debydrogenase (G6PD), we used highly purified native G6PD (nG6PD) as both immobilized and soluble antigens and anti-G6PD serum raised against nG6PD as antibody. The polystyrene cuvettes coated with nG6PD were challenged with a mixture of a limiting amount of anti-G6PD serum and various doses of nG6PD as competitors followed by incubation with alkaline phosphatase-anti-IgG conjugate. The competitive ELISA did not exhibit the typical sigmoidal dose-response curve characteristic of competition immunoassays under the optimal concentrations of antigen and antibody. The soluble nG6PD used as competitor failed to effectively inhibit the binding of antibodies to the immobilized nG6PD. The addition of NADP, a cofactor of G6PD enzyme, to coating buffer used for immobilizing nG6PD to the cuvettes and PBS-Tween-BSA buffer for diluting competitors did not improve the inhibition of antibody binding to immobilized nG6PD by soluble n/G6PD. The addition of BSA to coating buffer did not increase inhibition, either. Surprisingly, when partially active G6PD (paG6PD), obtained by repeated freeze-thawing, was used as competitor, the antibody binding to either immobilized nG6PD or immobilized paG6PD was inhibited 49-58%. We conclude that an effective competitive ELISA system with nG6PD enzyme and anti-G6PD serum for the detection of G6PD may not be established due to the poor inhibition of antibody binding to immobilized nG6PD by soluble nG6PD under the present assay conditions and that the inhibition may be improved by using an inactivated enzyme as competitor regardless of the type of immobilized antigen used. These results imply that the immobilized nG6PD may undergo denaturation upon binding to the polystyrene cuvettes and that our anti-G6PD serum may recognize denatured enzyme better than active enzyme.
