마이크로 ESPI 기법에 의한 면내 변형 측정 민감도 향상 (Improvement of Sensitivity to In-plane Strain/Deformation Measurement by Micro-ESPI Technique)

  • Enhancement methods of sensitivity to in-plane strain measurement by micro-ESPI(Electronic Speckle Pattern Interferometry) technique were proposed using TiN and Au thin films. Micro-tensile strain over the micro-tensile specimens, prepared in micro-scale by those films, was measured by micro-tensile loading system and micro-ESPI system developed in this study. The subsequent measurement of in-plane tensile strain in the micro-sized specimens was introduced using the micro-ESPI technique, and the micro-tensile stress-strain curves for these films were determined. To enhance the sensitivity to measurement of in-plane tensile strain, algorithms of the phase estimation by using curve fitting of inter-fringe and the discrete Fourier Transform with object-induced dynamic phase shifting were developed. Using these two algorithms, the micro-tensile strain-stress curves were generated. It is shown that the algorithms for enhancement of the sensitivity suggested in this study make the sensitivity to measurement of the in-plane tensile strain increase.

  • This paper proposes a new double-connected 3-phase voltage source inverter with improved output voltage waveform. An auxiliary single-phase inverter injects a ripple voltage into the double- connected inverter to convert 12-step operation to 36-step operation. The KVA rating of the output phase-shifting transformer is reduced by employing a harmonic canceling reactor. The whole rectifier-inverter system including the proposed technique is introduced and the experimental results are provided.

광학적 비접촉 측정에 의한 구조물 해석의 화상처리 계측 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Image Processing Measurement System on the Structural Analysis by Optical Non-contact Measurement)

  • This study discusses a non-contact optical technique, electronic speckle pattern interformetry(ESPI), that is well suited for in-plane and out-of-plane deformation measurement. However, the existing ESPI methods that are based on dual-exposure, real-time and time-average method have difficulties for accurate measurement of structure, due to irregular intensity and shake of phase. Therefore, phase shifting method has been proposed in order to solve this problem. About the method, the path of reference light in interferometry is shifted and added to least square fitting method to make the improvement in distinction and precision. This proposed method is applied to measure in -plane displacement that is compared with the previous method. Also, Used as specimen AS4/PE따 [30/=30/90]s was analyzed by ESPI based on real-time to determine the characteristics of vibration under no-load and tension. These results are quantitatively compared with those of FEM analysis inmode shapes.

Ultra High-speed 3-dimensional Profilometry Using a Laser Grating Projection System

  • The grating projection method with phase-shifting technique is very useful in measuring the 3-dimensional (3D) shape with high accuracy and speed. In this work, we have developed an ultra high-speed digital laser grating projection system using a high-power laser diode and a highsensitivity CMOS camera. With our system, the optical measurement required to find out the profile of a 3D object could be carried out within 2.6 ms, which is a significant ($\sim$10 times) improvement compared with those of the previous studies.

Proposal for Analog Signature Scheme Based on RSA Digital Signature Algorithm and Phase-shifting Digital Holography

  • In this paper, a novel analog signature scheme is proposed by modifying an RSA-based digital signature scheme with optical phase-shifting digital holography. The purpose of the proposed method is generating an analog signature to provide data confidentiality and security during the data transfer, compared to the digital signature. The holographic encryption technique applied to a hash value reveals an analog-type of pseudo-random pattern in the analog signature scheme. The public key and secret key needed to verify the analog signature are computed from public key ciphers which are generated by the same holographic encryption. The proposed analog signature scheme contains a kind of double encryption in the process of generating signature and key, which enhances security level more than the digital signature. The results of performance simulations show the feasibility of the highly secure signature scheme, and security analysis shows high robustness against known-message attacks and chosen-message attacks. In addition, the proposed method can apply to one-time signature schemes which can be used to sign only one message and it can also apply to authentication, e-mails, electronic banking and electronic data interchange.

광탄성프린지 위상이동법을 이용한 에지균열판의 응력 해석 (Stress Analysis of an Edge-Cracked Plate by using Photoelastic Fringe Phase Shifting Method)

  • 광탄성법은 투명한 물체에 힘을 가하면 복굴절 현상이 나타나며, 편광기에 의해 등색 및 등경프린지가 나타난다. 등색프린지를 이용하여 주응력차이 또는 평면상 전단응력을 계산할 수 있으며, 등경프린지에 의해 주응력 방향을 결정할 수 있다. 재래식 광탄성법에서는 특정한 위치에서 프린지를 개별적으로 측정해야 되는 불편한 점이 있어, 디지털 영상처리에 의해 광탄성 프린지로부터 전체적인 응력장을 해석할 수 있도록 프린지이동에 의한 위상이동법이 개발되었다. 프린지 위상이동법은 원형편광기에서 검광자를 $0^{\circ}$, $45^{\circ}$, $90^{\circ}$$135^{\circ}$회전시켜 프린지가 이동된 4개의 영상을 얻고, 이들로부터 위상차이로 나타나는 프린지분포를 측정한다. 본 연구에서는 프린지 위상이동법에 관한 광학적인 이론을 이용하여 압축하중을 받는 원형디스크의 프린지분포를 위상이동법으로 측정한 후 이론 값과 비교하였다. 또한, 인장하중을 받는 에지균열판의 응력분포 해석에 프린지 위상이동법을 적용하였다. 실험결과, 프린지 위상이동법으로 측정한 결과는 유한요소 해석 결과와 잘 일치하였다. 광탄성에서 위상이동법은 등경선과 평행하거나 직교하는 선상에서 응력 분포를 용이하게 측정할 수 있으나, 일반적인 프린지 해석시 프린지 위상이동법을 적용하면 오차가 포함될 수 있다.

Phase Error Analysis in Polarization Phase-shifting Technique using a Wollaston Prsim and Wave Plates

  • The method to obtain four speckle patterns with relative phase shift of $\pi$/2 by passive devices such as two waveplates and a linear polarizer, and to calculate the phase at each point of the speckle pattern in shearography with a Wollaston prism is described. In this paper, we analyze its potential error sources caused by wave plates.

Phase Error Reduction for Multi-frequency Fringe Projection Profilometry Using Adaptive Compensation

  • A new multi-frequency fringe projection method is proposed to reduce the nonlinear phase error in 3-D shape measurements using an adaptive compensation method. The phase error of the traditional fringe projection technique originates from various sources such as lens distortion, the nonlinear imaging system and a nonsinusoidal fringe pattern that can be very difficult to model. Inherent possibility of phase error appearing hinders one from accurate 3-D reconstruction. In this work, an adaptive compensation algorithm is introduced to reduce adaptively the phase error resulting from the fringe projection profilometry. Three different frequencies are used for generating the gratings of projector and conveyed to the four-step phase-shifting procedure to measure the objects of very discontinuous surfaces. The 3-D shape results show that this proposed technique succeeds in reconstructing the 3-D shape of any type of objects.

  • This paper deals with the transient analyses of both the one-phase ICB circuit and the three-phase ICB circuit. During the transient switching intervals, overvoltages or voltage unbalances may be produced on the capacitors. The three-step and four-step transient switching sequences were discussed and compared on the basis of phase shifting. Also, simple control method using bang-bang control was proposed and the digital simulations were carried out. As the results, it is verified that the proposed control technique is efficient.
