  • 본 논문에서는 Si MOSFET을 차세대 반도체인 GaN FET(Gallium Nitride Field Effect Transistor)으로의 대체 할 시 발생하는 문제점을 분석한다. 다양한 전력변환 시스템에 적용 가능한 위상 천이 풀브리지(Phase Shifted Full Bridge) DC-DC 컨버터를 대상으로 각각 Si MOSFET 및 GaN FET를 적용하고 실험을 통해 문제점을 확인 및 분석한다.

  • The conventional high frequency phase-shifted full bridge dc/dc converter has a disadvantage that a circulating current flows through transformer and switching devices during the freewheeling interval. Due to this circulating current, RMS current stress, conduction losses of transformer and switching devices are increased. To alleviate this problem, this paper provides a circulating current free type high frequency soft switching phase-shifted full bridge (FB) dc/dc converter with the modified energy recovery snubber (ERS) attached at the secondary side of transforemr.

  • Relations between fitted parameters for photoionization spectra both below and above the thresholds in the systems involving 3 channels are obtained using phase-shifted version of the multichannel quantum-defect theory. Analytical continuation of the photoionization cross sections in the form of ${\langle}{\sigma}_{below}{\rangle}_{v_{below}}={\sigma}_{above}$ examined using several representations.

  • $\lambda$/4 phase-shifted DFB lasers with nonideal grating structure have been studied by using an effective-index transfer matrix method where material dispersion, vwaveguide dispersion and waveguide-structuredependent loss are taken into consideration. Nonideal grating structure in the center phase-shift region does not incur serous degradation of laser characteristics. Phase-shift error from the ideal shift of $\pi$ causes a decrease in the threshold gain difference and lasing wavelength shift and should be less than $\pi$/4 when residual facet reflectivity is 0.7%. also, positional error of the phase-shift should be less than 9% of the cavity length in order for the threshold gain difference to be decreased less than 10%.

  • In this paper, a phase shifter with shifting photonic bandgap(PBG) cell in linear feedforward amplifier is designed and fabricated in 5GHz wireless LAN band. Now a day, the phase shifter has been fabricated with hybrid type. In this paper, a portion of PBG cell is shifted for the tuning phase. The phase shift was achieved maximum 80o in our PBG structure. Shifting PBG cell has been applied in feedforward main loop to cancel the main two tone signal.

  • This paper proposes a PWM phase-shift circuit to make that the LED lighting system distributes the channel currents evenly for any number of LED strings by generating evenly phase-shifted PWM signals for multiple LED driver ICs. The evenly distributed channel currents reduce the peak current, the decoupling capacitor size, and EMI noise. The PWM phase-shift circuit makes an arbitrary degree of PWM phase-shift by using a resistor and a capacitor. It measures the RC delay once. It reduces the number of external resistors and capacitors by providing zero and 180 degree phase-shift modes requiring no resistor and capacitor. An LED driver IC with the PWM phase-shift circuit was fabricated with a $0.35{\mu}m$ BCDMOS process. The PWM phase-shift circuit receives a PWM signal of 50 Hz~20 kHz at $f_{CLK}=450kHz$ and it generates a $0{\sim}360^{\circ}$ phase-shifted PWM signal with $R=0{\sim}1.1M{\Omega}$ at C=1 nF and $f_{PWM}=1kHz$. The measured phase errors are 1.74~3.94% due to parasitic capacitances.

  • 본 논문에서는 3.3 [kW] on-board charger (OBC) 용 phasw-shifted full-bridge (PSFB) 컨버터의 고효율 및 고전력 밀도 달성을 위한 스위칭 주파수 설계 방안을 제안한다. 스위칭 주파수에 따라 달라지는 손실 양상 및 전력 밀도에 대해 분석하기 위해 각 스위칭 주파수 별 반도체 소자 손실과 수동 소자 손실을 계산하고, 수동 소자의 부피 변화에 따른 전력밀도 변화를 분석한다. 분석 결과를 바탕으로 고효율 및 고전력밀도 달성을 위한 시스템 설계 포인트를 선정하고 시뮬레이션을 통하여 설계 결과를 검증한다.

  • In this paper, we investigated the degree of compensation for WDM channel signal distortion due to chromatic dispersion, self phase modulation (SPM) and cross phase modulation (XPM) as a function of transmission length using mid-span spectral inversion (MSSI) compensation method. The considered system is $3{\times}40$ Gbps intensity modulation direct detection (IM/DD) WDM transmission system. This system has highly nonlinear dispersion shifted fiber (HNL-DSF) as a nonlinear medium in optical phase conjugator (OPC). We confirmed that the transmission length is more increased by applying MSSI to distorted signal due to chromatic dispersion, SPM and XPM as dispersion coefficient of fiber becomes higher. And the compensation degree of distorted WDM channels due to chromatic dispersion, SPM and XPM becomes better stable as dispersion coefficient of fiber becomes higher.

  • In this paper, we investigated the effect of cross phase modulation(XPM) on compensation for WDM channel distortion due to chromatic dispersion, self phase modulation and XPM as a function of fiber dispersion coefficient and modulation format in 320 Gbps WDM systems. The considered WDM transmission system is based on mid-span spectral inversion(MSSI) compensation method, which has highly nonlinear dispersion shifted fiber(HNL-DSF) as nonlinear medium of optical phase conjugator (OPC) in the mid-way of total transmission line. We confirmed that the maximum channel input power resulting 1 dB eye opening penalty is reduced due to XPM effect on channel distortion, even if MSSI method was applied to WDM system. But, we confirmed that the effect of XPM on channel distortion becomes decrease as fiber dispersion coefficient of WDM system becomes larger. Futhermore, we confirmed that NRZ is better than RZ as a modulation format for similarly compensating overall WDM channels in WDM system with large fiber dispersion coefficient in order to minimize the effect of the XPM on channel distortion.

  • This paper proposes a coordinated control for an independent multi-phase transverse flux linear synchronous motor (IM-TFLSM) based on magnetic levitation. The stator structures of the IM-TFLSM are composed of a two set, which has independent three-phase windings and a double-sided air-gap as opposed to the conventional Y-connected three-phase linear motors. A suitable control algorithm is necessary to operate the applied linear machine. This study proposes a coordinated control algorithm for adjusting the mover air-gap and thrust force of the IM-TFLSM in order to maintain air-gap and phase shifted current control of the independent 3-phase modules. In addition, the principle of operation and its special structures are described in detail and the validity and effectiveness of the control algorithm is verified through multiple experimental results.
