유기농약 분석을 위한 Multi-Pesticide Residue Method (Multi-Pesticide Residue Method for Organopesticide Analysis)

  • 농약 잔류물을 70% acetone으로 추출한 다음 dichloromethane 층으로 옮겨 추출물을 florisil과 alumina-N으로 충진시켜 column chromatography를 행하였다. 마지막 추출물을 electron-capture detector(GC/ECD)와 nitrogen-phosphorus detector(GC/NPD)를 가진 GC로 분석하였다. 분석 결과 17 가지의 유기염소계 농약과 15 가지의 유기인계 농약의 회수율이 각각 60.8 에서 84.9%와 70.5에서 100.0%의 범위이었으며(phosmet와 azlnphos-methyl은 제외) 본 분석 방법의 최소 검출 준위도 낮았다(0.021-0.058mg/kg).

RICEWQ 모형의 보정 및 민감도 분석 (Calibration and Sensitivity Analysis of the RICEWQ Model)

  • The main objectives of this study are to calibrate the RICEWQ model with Korean field data and then analyse the sensitivity of the parameters to identify sensitive parameters. The RICEWQ is widely used to predict pesticide fate in a paddy plot. An experimental paddy plot of 0.2 ha($100{\times}20\;m$) at Seobyeon-dong, Daegu, Korea was selected, and field observations for water and pesticide balance were performed from 4 June to 2 September 2006. The molinate, which is a herbicide widely used for weed control in rice culture, was selected. The RICEWQ model was successfully calibrated both for the water and pesticide mass balance. The calibrated model showed a RMSE of 0.537 cm for ponded water depths and a RMSE of 0.036 mg/L for the molinate concentrations in the ponded water. The most sensitive parameters for molinate concentrations in ponded water were the metabolism degradation rate in water, volatilization coefficient, and release rate for slow release formulation. In contrast, the RICEWQ model was not sensitive to parameters such as hydrolysis degradation rate in water and degradation rate in unsaturated soil.

한국산 강활(羌活)의 잔류농약에 대한 연구 (Studies on Pesticide Residues in Ostrici Radix)

  • Objectives : This study has been conducted to investigate the amount of residual pesticide in herbal medicine of Osterici Radix which are purchased on Kwangju(Hanyaksarang). Methods : In order to analyze many pesticides in Osterici Radix, simultaneous multi-residue analysis of pesticides by GC-ECD/NFD was used. Results : But the amount of residual pesticide in Osterici Radix, simultaneous multi-residue analysis of pesticides by GC-ECD/NFD was used. Conclusion : These results indicate that Osterici Radix in current has safety. In future, it is considered the results of this study will be furnished the basis to succeeding studies and it is needed to extensive comparative study for the same genus-degree of relatedness.

농약의 관리 및 유통의 문제점과 개선책 (Discussions on Pesticides Management and Marketing in Korea)

  • An emphasized analysis and reviews on the progress of pesticide managements for the past 10 years through the statistics in Korea are summarized in this continued studies in connection with the fundmental aspects and direction of advanced pesticide industry and improved plantprotection policies for 1980's. Remarkable development and changes are observed in the plant species and varieties, plantation practices and production techniques as well as pest infestations and controls in the last decade, but no normal achievement and operations are recognised on the pesticide management and marketing system especially. Realistic plant protection adminstration and pesticide regulations in accordance to the industrial modernization and pest management advancement must be adjusted in accordance with national economic progress and desirable agricultural structure for 1980's. Special considerations are stated on the strengthening of research and inspection program for the quality products and control with the efficacy and safety use of pesticides. More serious attentions are noted on the over production and flooded stocks under struggled market demands and sales competitions with lethal financial difficulties by producers. Through the status analyzed for the last decade, the integrated past management and cooperative basic control pattern under positive self-forecasting system by farmers are also urged for the effective and economic pest control measures. The problems and solutions discussed here ell the advanced pesticide management as well as the cooperation on the self-ordered quality control and market managing systems in 1980's as it is a desired projection for the further improvement. Most of outstanding and necessary statistics and data in the past decade are also summarized here for references in connection with the previous report.

Exploring the Impact of Pesticide Usage on Crop Condition: A Causal Analysis of Agricultural Factors

  • Human lifestyle is affected by the agricultural development in the last 12,000 years ago. The development of agriculture is one of the reasons that global population surged. To ensure sufficient food production for supporting human life, pesticides as a more effective and economical tools, are extensively used to enhance the yield quality and boost crop production. This study investigated the factors that affect crop production and whether the factors of pesticide usage are the most important factors in crop production using the dataset from Kaggle that provides information based on crops harvested by various farmers. Logistic regression is used to investigate the relationship between various factors and crop production. However, the logistic regression is unable to deal with predictors that are related to each other and identifying the greatest impact factor. Therefore, causal discovery is applied to address the above limitations. The result of causal discovery showed that crop condition is greatly impacted by the estimated insects count, where estimated insects count is affected by the factors of pesticide usage. This study enhances our understanding of the influence of pesticide usage on crop production and contributes to the progress of agricultural practices.

Comparative study on the efficiency of pesticide residue removal in foods (Perilla Leaves, Strawberries, Apples)

  • In agricultural households cultivating vegetables and fruits, the use of various pesticides to protect crops from diseases and pests or to control weeds is widely practiced enhancing quality and productivity. However, pesticides can pose a threat to consumer health by remaining on the food surface or migrating into the food interior. Households commonly peel off skins, wash with water, or use chemical methods to remove foreign substances including residual pesticides on the food surface. In this study, we measured the washing rate by comparing the pesticide concentrations before and after washing in the leafy vegetable perilla leaves and the fruits strawberries and apples, which were intentionally exposed to pesticides. We compared washing rates using tap water, a baking soda solution, and a commercially available food-specific cleaning solution. The target pesticides for analysis were azoxystrobin, bifenthrin, boscalid, difenoconazole, flubendiamide, and indoxacarb, and the residual pesticide analysis was performed using GC-MS/MS or LC-MS/MS. The removal rates of pesticides were highest with the food-specific cleaner, followed by baking soda and tap water in order.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 살포기의 종류에 따른 피레스로이드 농약의 노출량을 평가하고자 하였다. 피레스로이드계 농약의 노출을 평가하기 위하여 사과 농작업자의 소변중 피레스로이드계 농약의 대사물질을 평가하였다. 결과에서는 살포량이 SS기 살포 그룹이 동력분무기 그룹보다 높았다. 하지만, 살포량과 살포면적을 통제하기 위하여 다변량 분석법으로 분석한 결과 SS기 살포자와 동력분무기 살포자의 노출량은 차이가 없었다. 농약노출에 대한 정확한 모델을 만들기 위해서는 농약 노출에 관련된 인자들이 통제되어야하고 추가적인 연구가 필요하다고 할 수 있다.

서울북부지역에서 유통되고 있는 농작물의 잔류농약 분포 (The Distribution of Pesticide Residues in Commercial Agricultural Products for the Northern Area of Seoul)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the 106 kinds of pesticide residues in agricultural products (n=3,614) by GC, for the northern area of Seoul from March (1999) to December (2000). The detection rate of pesticide residues in samples was 5.0% (mean =2.86$\pm$7.22 mg/kg, n=180). The order of the agricultural products in which pesticide residues were detected was korean lettuce > perilla leaf, pepper > chinese cabbage > leek > spinach. The percentage of the agricultural products in excess of MRL was 2.0% (n=73). The agricultural products in excess of MRL were korean lettuce (n=15), perilla leaf(n=13), leek (n=6), spinach (n=6), pepper (n=5), chwinamul (n=5), etc. The order of the pesticide residues which were detected in agricultural products was procymidone endosulfan chlorpyrifos vinclozolin chlorothalonil and diazinon. The average residual values of procymidone, endosulfan, chlorpyrifos, vinclozolin, chlorpyrifos, and diazinon were 4.07, 1.24, 1.27, 2.83, 17.71 and 1.48 respectively. The pesticide residues in excess of MRL were chlorpyrifos (n=19), endosulfan (n=12), procymidone(n=), vinclozolin (n=6), etc, and the measured concentration ranges of chlorpyrifos, endosulfan, procymidone, vinclozolin, pyrazophos, diazinon and EPN were 0.03-6.72, 0.18-5.8, 2.0-60.8, 1.70-20.33, 0.26-1.21. 0.59-4.3 and 0.28-4.19 respectively.
