Background: As personalized healthcare industry has attracted much attention, big data analysis of healthcare data is essential. Lots of healthcare data such as product labeling, biomedical literature and social media data are unstructured, extracting meaningful information from the unstructured text data are becoming important. In particular, text mining for adverse drug reactions (ADRs) reports is able to provide signal information to predict and detect adverse drug reactions. There has been no study on text analysis of expert opinion on Korea Adverse Event Reporting System (KAERS) databases in Korea. Methods: Expert opinion text of KAERS database provided by Korea Institute of Drug Safety & Risk Management (KIDS-KD) are analyzed. To understand the whole text, word frequency analysis are performed, and to look for important keywords from the text TF-IDF weight analysis are performed. Also, related keywords with the important keywords are presented by calculating correlation coefficient. Results: Among total 90,522 reports, 120 insulin ADR report and 858 tramadol ADR report were analyzed. The ADRs such as dizziness, headache, vomiting, dyspepsia, and shock were ranked in order in the insulin data, while the ADR symptoms such as vomiting, 어지러움, dizziness, dyspepsia and constipation were ranked in order in the tramadol data as the most frequently used keywords. Conclusion: Using text mining of the expert opinion in KIDS-KD, frequently mentioned ADRs and medications are easily recovered. Text mining in ADRs research is able to play an important role in detecting signal information and prediction of ADRs.

In the paper, we propose a TV-anytime codec that encodes and decodes TV-Anytime metadata according to the TV-Anytime specification so that the resulting binary TV-Anytime metadata can be transferred efficiently through the broadcasting network where the data bandwidth is restricted.. We describe the broadcasting environment that the TV-Anytime codec will be applied to, and the required functionalities of the software modules in detail. For the design of software modules, we show how to Implement the modules for metadata fragmentation. encoding, decoding, and the fragments management. The proposed TV-Anytime codec can be utilized as the core components to a personalized digital broadcasting system providing ECG(Electronic Content Guide) and segmentation information services according to TV-Anytime standard.
With the advent of the fourth industrial revolution in recent years, the field of health care services is getting attention again. Accordingly, personalized medical systems through smart products are emerging in various forms. With the use of wearable tech and sensor system, health management and monitoring can be done anytime, anywhere without help of others. However, healthcare services for pregnant women are very scarce. Due to the low fertility rate the number of obstetrics and gynecology is decreasing and as a result, environment surrounding the uncomfortable pregnant women is getting worse. Pregnant women are unable to take a comfortable sleeping posture due to pregnancy. Various environmental factors such as noise, temperature and humidity decrease the quality of sleeping of pregnant women and hinder happy preaching. The purpose of this study is to develop a UI design that can manage sleeping by providing good sleeping posture information and improved sleeping environment for the health of pregnant women. We expect to apply the sensor technology of the 4th industrial age to maximize the sleep quality and quality of life of expectant mothers.
Objectives: The objectives of this research were to develop and evaluate a mobile application for navigation program for cancer patients who might experience some difficulties in obtaining and understanding further schedules, directions due to flooding information at a time and scattered educational materials. This paper proposes a semantic recommendation technique for a personalized e-commerce portal. Semantic recommendation is achieved by utilizing the attributes of products. The semantic similarity of the products is merged with the rating information of the products to provide an accurate recommendation. The recommendation technique also analyzes various attitudes of the customer to evaluate the implicit rating of products. Attitudes are classifies into three types such as "purchasing product", "adding product to shopping cart", and "viewing the product information." We implicitly track customer attitude to estimate the rating of products for recommending products. Also we implement a session validation process to identify the valid sessions that are highly important for giving an accurate recommendation. Our recommendation technique shows a high degree of accuracy as we use age groupings of customers with similar preferences. The experimental section shows that our proposed recommendation method outperforms well known collaborative filtering methods not only for the existing customer, but also for the new user with no previous purchase record.

Today the fastest growing communities of web users are mobile visitors who browse web page with wireless PDAs and cellular phones. However, most web pages are optimiaed exclusively for desktop clients on the broadband network and are inconvenient to users with small screen mobile devices. They display only a few lines of text and cannot run client-side programs or scripts due to lack of system resource. Even worse, their connections are usually slow to support most of the data-intensive applications. In this paper, we propose a pageslet scheme that makes it feasible to browse ordinary web pages on small screen mobile devices. It extracts broadcasting sections of user preference from broadcasting web pages and automatically reorganizes the extracted sections for convenient browsing on mobile devices.
Objective: Written information could be helpful for senior population to adhere to complex medication therapies, but must be well prepared and empirically assessed to achieve such end. We purposed to develop a drug information leaflet for senior citizens by applying 'performance-based user-testing.' Methods: We employed a user-testing, a mixed method to figure difficulties out with patients' leaflets from the user perspective. The cycle made of test and revision can be repeated as necessary. We recruited senior citizens with age of 65 or above who were taking antihypertensive medications at the point of participating and excluded the elderly who suffered illiteracy. We firstly rectified a drug information leaflet of antihypertensive medications for the general public distributed by the Korean authority based on focus group interviews (9 participants). The revised leaflets were tested four times with 8~12 participants in each round (40 seniors in total). We targeted to develop a leaflet which more than 80% of participants understood 10 key information. Main outcomes measures were to be able to find information and be able to understand information. This study was approved by the Yeungnam University Research Ethics Committee. Results: Focus group interviews identified difficulties with small font of words, professional language, long information, and a poor structure. The leaflet was revised and in the first round questionnaire found problems with 4/10 information points; interviews disclosed all but one (normal blood pressure range) were ill-understood. The second round questionnaire and interview found fewer problems but the comprehensiveness of participants was still poor in several points. For the third and fourth rounds we revised the leaflets in the individual-targeted manner. Finally, the fourth round showed all key information found and understood by at least 80% of participants except one question about drug name. Conclusion: The drug leaflets need to be developed in a personalized mode for the seniors. There was a limit for Korean seniors to understand nonproprietary name of their drugs because they used to producers' trade names which the Korean health system predominantly works with.
This study proposes an educational direction to be followed by the clothing departments of Korea's specialized high schools in order to help achieve high levels of job placements and to strengthen their students' competitiveness. A comparison was made of the curricula in Korea's specialized high schools and in several fashion schools in other countries including the United States, Italy, France, Taiwan, and Japan. To this end, publicly available educational records were retrieved from domestic school documentation, vocational high school portals, and domestic/overseas school web sites, and were then reviewed. The archival data extracted from these sources shows that the curricula of the three chosen domestic schools uniformly focus on foundational courses such as general computer skills, general design, accounting principles, design principles, and drawing, as well as practical courses such as the design of western clothing, fashion design, fashion CAD, management of clothing material, design of Korean clothing, and knitting. Unlike these standardized courses, it was found that overseas fashion schools provide a more technically-advanced and design-focused education based on the interests of the individual student. Moreover, their education system nurtures the students' creativity through adequate field experience and history/language education. The findings of this study suggest that Korean specialized high schools should find a way to accommodate their students' interests and to provide them with personalized fashion education by adopting a more flexible curriculum. An educational line that considers the individual student's aptitudes and career path will help foster creativity and novel ideas, which, in turn, will contribute to the development of the fashion industry.
In the Korean fashion industry, 3D printing systems are considered as new technology and a new opportunity. With 3D printers, consumers can be manufacturers and individuals can develop businesses with little upfront capital. In this study, a dress form for the typical Korean women's body shape was developed using 3D technology (3D scanning, 3D modeling, and 3D printing). Ten women with apparel sizes 85-91-160 were selected from 3D body-scan data collected by SizeKorea of 201 women aged 25 to 34 (2010). First, 15 horizontal cross-sections were collected from the 3D scan data of the 10 subjects. Then, inside lines of those cross-sections were drawn at 15-degree intervals, and the lengths were measured. The average of the inside lines was connected to the internal spline curve, and the curves were used as the average cross-sections. The average torso body and the dress form of Korean women were developed into a 3D solid model using a 3D CAD program (Solidworks 2012). An output mockup was printed by the FDM type's 3D printing system (Bonbot 1200, Bonbot 3-H4) using PLA material. The dimensions comparing the 3D solid modeling to the 3D printed mockup of the dress form were measured, and minor differences were between 0.00cm and 0.40cm. In the future, 3D printing systems are expected to be in use for various personalized dress forms.
