A study on the impact of host's personalized offline services and platform ease of use on shared homestay consumers' purchase intention

  • Different from previous studies, this study focuses on accommodation providers' personalization services and platform convenience variables, identifying how these prior factors affect perceived value and trust in accommodation services on a shared homestay platform, and how consumers' innovation plays a role in the process. Through this, we would like to identify the mechanism of interaction between accommodation service providers and consumers mediated by the shared homestay platform and present implications for a more customer-centered platform operation strategy. This study has an extended meaning for prior research, empirically confirming that the increase in personalized offline service quality of personalized hosts in shared economic models has a positive impact on perceived value and platform trust of consumers. At the same time, we confirm that under the shared economy model, consumers' innovation propensity plays an important positive role in regulating their perceived value aspects as well as their confidence in the platform.

  • The MICE(Meeting, Incentive travel, Convention, and Exhibition) industry grows steadily. Especially, exhibition industry plays an important role as the effective sales and marketing tools. However, lots of studies have focused on the flow analysis of audience traffic, booth recommendation or formulaic interactions between audiences and contents in the exhibition hall. In this study, we proposed an intelligent Interactive system considering audience's response for providing personalized exhibition service. First, we extracted components of the system architecture through the previous studies. Second, we suggested the system architecture and scenarios for intelligent interactions between audiences and contents. We hope that the proposed system will strengthen the basis for implementing interactive system in the exhibition industry.

  • Expectation and interest about e-CRM are rising for more efficient customer management in on-line including electronic commerce. The decision-making tree can be used usefully as the data mining technology for e-CRM. In this paper, the representative decision making techniques, CART, C4.5, CHAID analyzed the differences in personalization point of view with actuality customer data through an experiment. With these analysis data, it is proposed a new decision-making tree system that has big advantage in personalization techniques. Through new system, it can get following advantage. First, it can form superior model more qualitatively in personalization by adding individual's weight value. Second it can supply information personalized more to customer. Third, it can have high position about customer's loyalty than other site of similar types of business. Fourth, it can reduce expense that cost marketing and decision-making. Fifth, it becomes possible that know that customer through smooth communication with customer who use personalized service wants and make from goods or service's quality to more worth thing.

  • With the proliferation of information and diversity of user environment, the filtering of information for providing suitable contents to user becomes more important. This paper represents the platform for user-context based contents service taking account of user's various environments. To make information more useful, web server devote their effort to select proper contents and reconstruct them according to the user preferences and environment condition. Finally we implement contents provider presenting personalized information for the prehistoric age in virtual museum on the web.

  • We need the customized e-Learning service according to not only developing the wireless mobile and hardware technology, also developing the multimedia process skills. Especially, the beginner who start to learn the first programming course must be provided the personalized learning. The beginner require the repeated practices to obtain the programming skills, also they reveal the different learning effects following the learner capability In this paper. we develop a new e-Learning contents which give the individual service for learner and show the simulation which is program execution to maximize the learning effects.

  • The FoodTech industry has been developed with the rise of start-up by using AI, big data, robotics, biotechnology. In addition, sustainable development is more important with the trend of population growth, aging, and climate change. We investigated the impact of FoodTech on the foodservice industry with the cases of the global and domestic companies. The technology of AI, IoT, blockchain, robotics, automation systems are widely used to improve food safety and hygiene while as the use of diagnostic biomarkers such as blood or DNA, digital platform and app, and AI-based solutions are used in the field of personalized nutrition. With the expand of FoodTech in foodservice industry, the competencies that the managers need to develop include understanding technology, resource management, self-development, work ethics, problem-solving, and communication, therefore the support of the related education and training is required.

  • In the age of ubiquitous environment, huge number of devices and computing services are provided to users. Personalized service, which is modeled according to the character of each and every individual is of particular need. In order to provide various dynamic services according to user's movement, service unit and operating mode should be able to operate automatically with minimum user intervention. In this paper, we discuss the steps of offering approximate service based on user's request in ubiquitous environment. First, we present our simulator designed for modeling the physical resource and computing object in smart space - the infrastructure in ubiquitous. Second, intelligent agents, which we developed based on a FIPA specification compliant multi-agent framework will be discussed. These intelligent agents are developed for achieving the service goal through cooperation between distributed agents. Third, we propose an automated service discovery and composition method in heterogeneous environment using semantic message communication between agents, according to the movement by the user interacting with the service available in the smart space. Fourth, we provide personalized service through agent monitoring anytime, anywhere from user's profile information stored on handhold device. Therefore, our research provides high quality service more than general automated service operation.

  • Useful emails influence on consumers' purchase behavior and activate them to visit retail stores. Regular contact with consumers by e-mail has positive effects on brand loyalty. However, email marketing has a limitation. Spam now accounts for over half of all e-mail traffic. The increase of email users has resulted in the dramatic increase of spam emails during the past few years. In this paper, we proposed an ontology-based system offering personalized email services to overcome such limitation. Our method is not the ontology-driven spam filtering, but a personalized content service considering personal interests and relations among people by using FOAF and domain ontologies. Our system was successfully tested in email marketing domain.

  • Since the increasing use of smart devices such as smartphone and tablet PC improves the quality of convergence of broadcasting and telecommunication, many new media have been created. This smart device can provide personal environments based on user's profile (age, gender, and job) and current location. In addition, it can be regarded as a media platform with two-way communication. This paper proposes personalized message syndication, called PMS, based on smart devices and then analyzes its business and technical issues. The PMS service as a smart media provides consumers customized information and can be used for producer's marketing tools which can lead consumers' heart and participation.

  • Our society is rapidly ageing and income level is rising. With the development of IT-based convergence technology and the construction of infrastructure for the u-healthcare services, the importance of the hand acupuncture prescription has known as the folk remedies is being spotlighted. In this paper, we proposed the hand acupuncture prescription using the personalized symptom according to context in the u-healthcare. The proposed method defined the context and environment of the users and predicted the profited hand acupuncture prescription service according to the personalized symptom using the collaborative filtering. The user gets the accurate hand acupuncture prescription as the personalized symptom to input only the name of a disease in the proposed system. We developed GUI for this purpose, and experimented with it to verify the logical validity and effectiveness. Accordingly, the satisfaction and the quality of services will be improved the hand acupuncture prescription by supporting the context information as well as the personalized symptom.
