Four factors of adolescent's delinquency derived by factor analysis : F. 1 'general position delinquency' F. 2 'school-norm delinquency' F3. 'personal delinquency' : F.4 'sexual delinquency'. 2. There were partially significant correlations between the degree of adolescent's delinquency and information search and fashion involvement. There were significant relationships between degree of delinquency and degree of clothing purchasing frequency. companion while shopping and source of clothing expenses. 3. In the case of male students fashion involvement and sexual delinquency had a direct effect on information search(R2 =.278) General position delinquency and allowance had a indirect effect on information search through Father's level of education had a direct effect on allowance. the present findings provide that in general the more allowance students received the higher the general position delinquency for both males and females, The higher the general position delinquency the higher the degree of fashion involvement and information search. • There is a growing interest in ethical consumption, and consumers are demanding high levels of CSR for their companies. Transparent provision of corporate information among various areas of CSR is also an important topic in the recent consumption situation. In the global fashion industry, it is also a type of radical corporate transparency and ethical management, led by several advanced startups such as Everlane. As a result, the production process is being disclosed. This study empirically analyzes the influence of this fashion product process transparency on the consumer evaluation of the company. According to a survey of 200 Korean respondents, the transparency of the presented fashion firms had a positive effect on corporate trust and purchase intention. It was confirmed that it has. On the other hand, consumer involvement, which has been discussed as an important personal attribute in the associated consumption environment, has no significant moderating effect. In other words, consumers' subjective corporate ethics involvement did not have a significant influence on their corporate transparency evaluation.

  • The objective of this study was to identify the cultural characteristics affecting advertising contents of the consumer products. Hofstedes(1991) five cultural characteristics such as individualism-collectivism, power distance, masculinity-feminity, avoidance of uncertainty, confucian dynamism were used. Ten kinds of consumer products were included and data were collected from France, Japan, Korea, and U. S. during 1999∼2000. All ads were evaluated and compared their cultural characteristics in terms of country, product involvement and usage, and magazine type. ANOVA, Duncan test, and Pearson correlation-coefficient were applied to analyze data. The results were shown as follows: First, most ads tended to be individual, less power oriented, feministic, and showed high tendency of uncertainty avoidance as well as long term confucianism for all the countries. And some cultural characteristics were different among countries. Japan, France, U. S. and Korea in order showed higher individualism and lower power distance. Also Korea and Japan showed relatively short term confucian culture while U. S. and France did ling term perspectives in the ads. Second, product involvement and usage type had a significant impact on the characteristics of individualism-collectivism and feminity-masculinity. That is, product ads of lower involvement and personal use were likely to show individualistic messages and to have more feministic appeals. Third, magazine type had an impact on some cultural characteristics. Womens magazines would have more individualistic, less power oriented, and feministic appeals of ads. In conclusion, global ads should be localized and differentiated in terms of some cultural characteristics and differ depending on product characteristics.

  • In this study, we examined the influence of news frame and involvement on risk perception. Based on individuals' optimistic bias in risk judgement and the third-person effect theory, we developed research hypotheses. An experiment was conducted in which 243 undergraduate and graduate students participated. Results indicated that societal level risk judgements were relatively invariant across experimental conditions but personal level risk judgements were influenced by the news frame and individuals' involvement in irradiated food. Based on the results, we provide explanations concerning when and how optimistic bias takes place in each experimental condition.

This study analyzed the relationship between leisure activity characteristics, stress, and quality of life of healing tourists, and analyzed the moderating effect of involvement on rural healing tourism. For this purpose, this study analyzed 658 cases who experienced rural healing tourism. Among the characteristics of leisure activities, the conflict between work and leisure had a positive (+) effect on stress, and that stress had a negative (+) effect on the quality of life. Among the characteristics of leisure activities, social support was found to have a positive (+) effect on the quality of life. In the relationship between stress and quality of life, involvement on rural healing tourism was found to have a moderating effect. The results of this study indicate the importance of social support for work-life balance and leisure, suggesting that daily recovery through rural healing tourism has a positive effect on personal stress management as well as quality of life.

  • The present paper aims to examine the relationship between the online word of mouth(WOM) contents and the WOM effect and to see how receivers' features such as product knowledge and involvement level influence the WOM received. For that purpose, we categorize WOM contents into two subcategories; product news and personal experience. The WOM effect, in turn, is into the WOM received. Survey questionnaires were given to 268 collegians as to their online WOM activities to purchase MP3 players. SPSS 10.0 package was employed as the method of statistical analysis. We report the following results. First, product news is shown to exert a greater effect on the WOM received than personal experience. Second, their product knowledge plays a moderating role in the relationship between the WOM contents and the WOM received. Finally, it is shown that the factor of involvement level moderates the relationship between the WOM contents and the WOM received. The current paper attempts to develop a hypothetical relationship between WOM information and WOM received and to provide a theoretical foundation for the practical online marketing. We must admit the methodological limitations with respect to subjects and samples. It should be worthwhile, however, to compare online and off-line marketing and to expand the range of research in the current line of thought.

  • To develop prevention messages for increasingly severe adolescent obesity in China. this study tested interaction effects between obesity involvement and message framing, and between obesity involvement and evidence types on obesity prevention attitudes and behavioral intentions. Message framing types are categorized with a gain frame and a loss frame. Evidence types are classified into narratives based on personal experiences and statistics based on objective numerical proofs. Three hundred sixty eight Chinese adolescents participated in the study. Results found that involvement, framing, and evidence types had significant effects on attitudes and behavioral intentions to obesity prevention. Adolescents highly involved in obesity were more likely to show positive attitudes and behavioral intentions when exposed to loss framing and statistical evidence. Those with low involvement showed positive attitudes and behavioral intentions after exposed to gain framing and narratives. Thus, we suggest that loss frames with numerical data should be developed to persuade adolescents with high involvement, and gain frames with narratives should be developed for those with low involvement.
