  • The aim of this study was to analyse the cost-benefit-ratio of a soil remediation project. The target of the study was the 'Altablagerung Osnabrueck-Wueste' the largest inhabited former landfill site in Germany. The determination of benefit resulting from the soil remediation was quantified with the help of willingness-to-pay(WTP) analysis (contingent valuation method, CVM). 400 households participated in the survey. The average WTP was 6.5 Euro per household per month or 78 Euro per house-hold per year. The projected benefit generated by the remediation (consumer value) for the population in the landfill area was determined to be 0.7 million Euro per year. Factors which influence the will-ingness to pay were evaluated. The most important factors were age, garden use and the prevailing concern about personal health. A computation of the cost-benefit relationship was made on the basis of three different scenarios, which differed in terms of the projected benefits. Finally the economical efficiency of the project was determined. With a projection of 18 years and upwards the remediation of the soil is economically worthwhile.

  • Both access to healthcare services and income security in case of personal illness are being needed to achieve universal health coverage, which is enshrined in the human rights to health and social security and international standards on social protection. Income security acts on both the social determinants and the adverse consequences of ill health and thus would break the vicious disease-poverty cycle. The government is supposed to implement a demonstration project of sickness benefit in 2022 and to publicize its more specific blueprint for all workers. This study is to suggest basic principles and a framework to design a new sickness benefit for universal health coverage, which is based on reviews on previous studies, related issues, and institutional conditions. This is to provide a theoretical basis to promote further discussion and to support its decision-making.

  • Recently, the use of mobile payment, called "Pay" payment, is increasing such as 'KakaoPay' and 'SamsungPay'. In Korea, various mobile payment services are running and emerging. The purpose of this study is to examine the intention to switch from using existing credit cards or check card to mobile payment service based on the two-factor theory. We empirically examined the effect of the two factors, the factors that enable switching and the factors that inhibit switching. Therefore, the study use switching cost and switching benefit as parameters to confirm the effect on the switching intention. In addition, this study intends to analyze the differences between two subgroups by the degree of personal innovativeness. We survey smartphone users and credit card or check card users, and analyzed the Smart PLS 3.0 using structural equation model to verify the significance of the research hypothesis.

  • Many state agencies and companies collect personal data for the purpose of providing public services and marketing activities and use it for the benefit and results of the organization. In order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 recently, personal data is being collected to understand the movements of individuals. However, due to the lack of technical and administrative measures and internal controls on collected personal information, errors and leakage of personal data have become a major social issue, and the government is aware of the importance of personal data and is promoting the protection of personal information. However, theory-based training and document-based intrusion prevention training are not effective in improving the capabilities of the privacy officer. This study analyzes the processing steps and types of accidents of personal data managed by the organization and describes measures against personal data leakage and misuse in advance. In particular, using Capture the Flag (CTF) scenarios, an evaluation platform design is proposed to respond to personal data breaches. This design was proposed as a troubleshooting method to apply ISMS-P and ISO29151 indicators to reflect the factors and solutions to personal data operational defects and to make objective measurements.

While the prior researches on mobile banking adoption focus on the characteristics of service itself, this paper intends to investigate the smart banking application in terms of user's benefits, which are personal value consumers attach to the product or service attributes. Based on prior studies functional benefits, social benefits, experiential benefits, and personalization are identified as affecting factors of the user's attitude and usage of smart banking application. According to the results of multiple regression analysis, all benefit factors(functional benefit, experimental benefit, social benefit) and personalization were found to be significantly related to the user's attitude. Users' attitude on smart banking was found to be significantly related to the real usage as well. This paper has value in that it investigates the attitude and usage of smart banking in terms of benefits.

For data collection, a total of 3,000 copies of questionnaires were collected by nationwide online survey. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 26.0. The factor analysis identified seven dimensions of the lifestyle : conservative, sports activity orientation, health orientation, consumption orientation, achievement orientation, adventure orientation, and personal orientation. Five dimensions of benefit sought were identified as psychological recovery, outdoor activities, rest, rural experience, and exercise. The results of the canonical correlation analysis indicated that adventure orientation of lifestyle and psychological recovery, outdoor activities, rural experience, exercise of benefit sought were highly correlated. This means it is important to place an emphasis on psychological recovery, outdoor activities, rural experience, and exercise for tourists looking for an adventure away from everyday life. Rural healing tourism marketers should consider lifestyle aspects as the most important factors affecting benefit sought of rural healing tourism.

  • Cloud computing technology is expanding its services to individual consumers through storage and applications. This study aims to compare the predisposing factors that affect the perceived value and the intention to use between users who have used or experienced services and those who have never experienced services from the perspective of benefit and sacrifice based on the value-based acceptance model. The results showed that the sacrifice factor (perceived cost) had a significant effect on perceived value and perceived value had a significant effect on intention to use, but showed a difference in perceived benefit. Perceived usefulness, ubiquity, and network effects had significant impact for experienced users' perceived value, but for inexperienced users, ubiquity did not have significant impact. In addition, usefulness was the most significant factor for experienced users while network effect was the same for inexperienced users. The results of this study suggest that consumers' intention to use personal cloud service is evaluated as a benefit and sacrifice point and a new attempt to re-examine the role of previous experience.
