To achieve a better understanding of the effects on behavioral safety caused by possible neuroprotective doses (50 mg/kg, p.o.) of dextromethorphan HBr (DM), several motor activity measures were monitored in two generations of mice through a long-term period of ten months. Adult male mice (G1), in the presence of DM, developed behavioral tolerance after an initial suppression period. Prenatally exposed, second generation (G2) mice formed two groups, prenatal exposure alone (G2C) and prenatally exposed with additional postnatal exposure (G2T). In the presence of DM, group G2T was characterized by significant behavioral impairment; while G2C exhibited behavioral activation. These results suggest that more attention should be given to the prenatal effects of DM on a developing organism.

The oriental medicine is necessary to the development of oriental medicine diagnosis, to satisfy the Senior-Friendly. We experiment on the elderly women in 3-D mac, and carry into effect the comparative-study on the youth's pulsation. The elder pulsation's division factor are analyzed press power, w/t, h5/h1 , dispersion of period. In the press power, the elder pulsation is shallow compared with the youth's pulsation. In the w/t (pressurization time / pulsation cycle), the elder pulsation is longer compared with the youth's pulsation, In the h5/h1 (dicrotic / main peak), the elder pulsation is small compared with the youth's pulsation. In the range of dispersion of period, the elder pulsation is narrow-changed compared with the youth's pulsation. Therefore the elder pulsation is characterized by the deficiency of flexibility and injection power.

Leukocyte adhesion deficiency is a rare primary immunodeficiency and autosomal recessive disorder caused by a mutation in the gene encoding CD18, which is a constituent of leukocyte integrins. Clinical features usually begin with a delay in the separation of the umbilical cord in the neonatal period, and are characterized by marked leukocytosis with infection, delayed wound healing, and repeated bacterial and fungal infections. We experienced a case of leukocyte adhesion deficiency diagnosed in the neonatal period, in which a late preterm infant admitted to neonatal intensive care unit presented with a septic hip. Flow cytometry analysis of whole blood showed a decrease in the expression of CD11b/CD18. This is the first case of leukocyte adhesion deficiency with neonatal septic hip diagnosed in Korea.

During adolescence the mutational period is characterized by the changes in the laryngeal structure, the length of the vocal cords, and a tone of voice. Usually, adolescents at 15 or 16 reach the voice of adults but the mutational period is sometimes delayed. Therefore, studies on the voice of adolescents between 16 ~ 18 right after the mutational period are required. Accordingly, this paper attempted to provide basic data about the normal standard for patients with voice disorders during this period by evaluating the vocal characteristics of males and females between 16 ~ 18 with an objective device bycomparing and analyzing them by sex and age. The study was conducted on a total of 60 subjects composed of each 10 subjects of each age. The vocal analysis was conducted by MPT (Maximum Phonation Time) measurement, sustained vowels and sentence reading. As for /a/ sustained vowels, fundamental frequency, hereinafter referred to as $F_0$, jitter, shimmer, noise-to-harmonic ratio, hereinafter referred to as NHR were measured by using the Multi-dimensional voice program (MDVP) among the Multi-Speech program of Computerized Speech Lab (Kay Elemetrics). The sentence reading, mean $F_0$, maximum $F_0$ and minimum $F_0$ were measured using the Real-Time Pitch (RTP) Model 5121 among the Multi-Speech program of Computerized Speech Lab (Kay Elemetrics). As a result, according to sex, there were statistically significant differences in $F_0$, jitter, shimmer, mean $F_0$, maximum $F_0$, and minimum $F_0$; and according to age, there were statistically significant differences in MPT. In conclusion, the voice of the adolescents between 16 ~ 18 reached the maturity levels of adults but the voice quality which can be considered on the scale of voice disorders showed transition to the voice of an adult during the mutational period.

The origin of the Roman public basilica is Rome's indigenous style morphologically but actually it seems that developed the Greek semi-open style stoa into the Roman practical interior space. In the early ages, the arrangement of Roman forum had been planned high symbolical temple as the center but gradually changed into the basilica centered which were used often by citizen. Through the Roman period, the important types of early Roman basilica have Fano basilica in the first century BC, Pompei basilica of mid period in the first century AD, Doclear basilica with apse as late type in the second century AD. Pompei type well characterized the feature of Roman public basilica among them. The result of the floor plan analysis shows that the long side access to the interior space is over 76 percent of examples and nearly 70 percent have no apse and the average of vertical horizontal length ratio presents as 1:2.3. The typical plan of Roman public basilica can be defined that most of access are being entered from one of the long side, and most of basilica have no apse, and normally having inner columns arranged in one or more concentric rectangles around nave as a center.

Between 1890-1914, the fundamental changes of the housing in United Sates of America were provoked to attempt the housing developments to adapt modern social system. The worthy of notice is that F L. Wright's Prairie House had been tested and built during the period as 'the first and second era' Despite the transition period in America, this represents that Wright's Prairie House series were developed. There are possibilities that some of the reformers assertion for Housing Development, on behalf of Arts & Crafts Movement, led to Wright's early house inner space design. For this reason, this study is to examine Ideologies that Wright has been accepted between the turning point of America's Arts & Crafts Movement and Hull House Circle. In terms of the ideologies acceptance, the study is also to examine how to be represented his inner space design characteristics. As the result, between'Simplification'housing development and the traditional housing In America, F L. Wright sublimated his own architectural aesthetic as accepting all functional elements to consider inevitability in this period, such as the association between economical and rational space, the plan to led on free plane, the spatial side and the stability of family life and the community, through the unification space having the consecutiveness.

This paper considers the single-product production and transportation problem with discrete time, dynamic demand and finite time horizon, an extension of classical dynamic lot-sizing model. In the model, multiple freight container types are allowed as the transportation mode and each order (product) placed in a period is shipped immediately by containers in the period. Moreover, each container has type-dependent carrying capacity restriction and at most one container type is allowed in each shipping period. The unit freight cost for each container type depends on the size of its carrying capacity. The total freight cost is proportional to the number of each container type employed. Such a freight cost is considered as another set-up cost. Also, it is assumed in the model that production and inventory cost functions are dynamically concave and backlogging is not allowed. The objective of this study is to determine the optimal production policy and the optimal transportation policy simultaneously that minimizes the total system cost (including production cost, inventory holding cost, and freight cost) to satisfy dynamic demands over a finite time horizon. In the analysis, the optimal solution properties are characterized, based on which a dynamic programming algorithm is derived. The solution algorithm is then illustrated with a numerical example.

The photometric light curves of the W-type W UMa eclipsing contact binary system BB Pegasi have been found to be extremely asymmetric over all the observed 63 years in all wavelengths UBVR. The light curves have been characterized by occultation primary minima. Hence, the morphology of these light curves has been studied in view of these different asymmetric degrees. The system shows a distinct O'Connell effect, as well as depth variation. A 22.96 years of stellar dark spots cycle has been determined for the system. Almost the same cycle (22.78 yr) has been found for the depth variation of MinI and MinII. We also present an analysis of mid-eclipse time measurements of BB Peg. The analysis indicates a period decrement of $5.62{\times}10^{-8}$ day/yr, which can be interpreted in terms of mass transfer at a rate of $-4.38{\times}10^{-8}M_{\odot}$/yr, from the more to the less massive component. The O - C diagram shows a damping sine wave covering two different cycles of 17.0 yr and 12.87 yr with amplitudes equal to 0.0071 and 0.0013 day, respectively. These unequal durations show a non-periodicity which may be explained as a result of magnetic activity cycling variations due to star spots. The obtained characteristics are consistent with similar chromospherically active stars, when applying the Applegate's (1992) mechanism.

In this study, raw whole garlic and peeled garlic were pickled in brine, to test for changes in flavor compounds by aging period. Changes in pH, acidity and hardness were measured, and a sensory evaluation performed. The pH of the peeled garlic Jangachi in brine decreased as the aging period increased. The acidity increased as pH decreased, and the hardness tended to decrease as the aging time increased. For the peeled garlic Jangachi in brine, 3,3-thiobis-l-propene, allyl methyl trisulfide, diallyl trisulfide, and dimethyl trisulfide increased as aging proceeded, but allyl methyl disulfide and diallyl disulfide tended to decrease. In the sensory evaluation, hardness decreased as the aging time increased. Therefore, the above flavor compounds are considered to be major components of the characterized flavor of pickled garlic. When the overall quality was compared between the whole garlic Jangachi and peeled garlic Jangachi in brine after 60 days, the peeled garlic Jangachi was deemed superior.

(1) According to the history of three kingdoms, tea was introduced to Korea at the period of Korea at the period of Sun-Duck Queen of Shilla dynasty, and Dae-Ryeom Kim, the emissary, brought tea seeds from Tang China in 828, and sowed them on Mt. Jiri by the order of the King Heung-Duck, Shila. In 1885, The Chosun government took action in transplant 6000 each of tea of tea seeding from Ch'ing. (2) Transmission of schools As for the type of tea through the history of Korea, it could be characterized as cake-tea in the three kingdoms period, lump-tea in Koryo dynasty and leaf-tea in Chosun dynasty. Those were affected by Chinese tea culture. (3) Transfer of tea and tea utensils Kokuryo and Shilla had to import cake-tea from tang China, and Koryo had to import lump-tea from Sung China, and Chosun had to import leaf-tea from ch'ing China. On the other hand, to export various tea to Khitai, Chin, Yuan, and Chosun had to export tea Ch'ing China. And the tea bowl produced in the Sung such as Chien Chou ware and Chi Chou ware, was also introduced to Koryo. (4) Suggestion for the promation of tea industry The Chosun government were adviced to the exchange of Chosun tea for Chosun tea for China horse, by yang Ho, General to the Ming expeditionary forces in Chosun, and were advised to engage in foreign tea trade, by Lee Hong Jyand, minister of commerce for the nothern sea to the Ching.
