구조물 내진보강을 위한 다중 마찰댐퍼의 성능 평가 (Performance Evaluation of Multi-Friction Dampers for Seismic Retrofitting of Structures)

  • 이 연구는 구조물 내진보강 장치의 하나인 마찰댐퍼에 관한 것으로, 내부 마찰재를 복합재료의 일종인 초고분자량 폴리에틸렌으로 대체하여 댐퍼를 개발하였다. 또한 마찰력이 발생하는 내부 구조를 여러 층으로 적층하는 다중 마찰방식을 적용하였다. 개발된 다중 마찰댐퍼의 성능 검증을 위해서 재료에 대한 기초 물성과 마모 특성, 디스크 스프링에 대한 특성 분석 시험을 수행하였다. 마모시험 시험결과, UHMWPE의 질량 감소율은 0.003%로 복합재료 기반의 마찰재 중에서 가장 우수한 성능을 보였다. 디스크 스프링은 유한요소해석과 시험결과로부터 설계기초자료를 확보하였다. 또한 개발된 다중 마찰댐퍼의 품질 안정성을 확인하기 위해 토크값에 따른 마찰력 변화와 감쇠장치에 대한 지진하중 시험을 수행하였다. 품질성능 시험결과, 토크 값 조절에 따라 선형적인 마찰력 변화를 보였으며, 지진하중 시험 결과, 마찰댐퍼의 허용오차는 설계기준에서 요구하는 15% 미만으로 나타나 내진보강 장치로서의 요구조건을 만족하는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 유도탄 구동장치는 구동장치 날개 펼침 시간과 위치가 유도탄의 초기 기동에 매우 중요한 요소가 되며, 유도탄 구동장치 점검은 구동 동작 수집 데이터 획득 정확성과 실시간성이 보장되어야 한다. 본 연구에서는 기존 구동장치 점검 설계 및 구현방식과 데이터 수집장치 구동장치의 설계 구현방식 차이를 비교하고, 데이터 수집량, 실시간 데이터 수집 성능 차이를 획득 후 비교하였으며, 시험을 통해 나타난 데이터를 그래프로 변환한다. 획득된 데이터 구동장치 파형을 비교 분석하고, 분석된 데이터를 기반으로 기존 구동장치 점검과 데이터 수집장치 점검 중 실시간 응답 속도와 안정성이 보장된 데이터 수집장치 점검구성을 제안한다.

  • Superconducting sensors and detectors have been applied to many fields or beginning to enter the maturing stage. The applications spread over a wide range of fields such as radio telescope, medical examination, quantum information, contamination inspection, materials analysis, etc. For users of the superconducting devices as well as developers, we have to avoid confusion of naming, graphical circuit symbols, and measurement methods for device performance. We are trying to formulate international standards under the International Electrotechnical Commission - Technical Committee 90 (IEC-TC90), which is responsible for superconductivity. The sensors and detectors to be considered are divided into two groups: coherent sensors (SQUID, SIS mixers, etc.) and direct detectors (TES, STJ, MKID, SSPD, etc.).

  • In recent year, OLED(organic light emitted display) is used as the next generation device of FPD. OLED have been replacing the flat panel display device such as LCD, STN-LCD and TFT because this device is more efficient, economic and simple than those FPD devices, and this need not backlight system for visualization. The performance and efficiency of OLED is related with surface defect of ITO coated glass substrate. The typical surface defect of glass substrate is nonuniformity and bad surface roughness. ITO coated glass substrate is destroied for inspection about surface roughness and non-uniformity. Generally detection of the defects in the surface for ITO coated glass substrate is dependent on operator's experience. In this research, relationship between working parameter and surface non-uniformity is studied using regression analysis.

  • This paper proposes the methodology in image processing algorithm that estimates the pose of the pipe crawling robot. The pipe crawling robots are usually equipped with a lighting device and a camera on its head for monitoring and inspection purpose. The proposed methodology is using these devices without introducing the extra sensors and is based on the fact that the position and the intensity of the reflected light varies with the robot posture. The algorithm is divided into two parts, estimating the translation and rotation angle of the camera, followed by the actual pose estimation of the robot. To investigate the performance of the algorithm, the algorithm is applied to a sewage maintenance robot.

  • Various types of measuring devices are used for reverse engineering and inspection in different fields of industry such as automotive, aerospace, computer graphics, and home appliance. In order to measure a part easily and efficiently, it is important to select appropriate measuring device considering the characteristics of each measuring machine and part information. In this research, an optimal measuring device selection system using neural networks is proposed. There are two major steps: Firstly, the measuring information such as curvature, normal, type of surface, edge, and facet approximation is extracted from the CAD model. Second, the best suitable measuring device is proposed using the neural network system based on the knowledge of the measuring parameters and the measuring resources. An example of machine selection is implemented to evaluate the performance of the system.

High-sensitivity NIR Sensing with Stacked Photodiode Architecture

  • Near-infrared (NIR) sensing technology using CMOS image sensors is used in many applications, including automobiles, biological inspection, surveillance, and mobile devices. An intuitive way to improve NIR sensitivity is to thicken the light absorption layer (silicon). However, thickened silicon lacks NIR sensitivity and has other disadvantages, such as diminished optical performance (e.g. crosstalk) and difficulty in processing. In this paper, a pixel structure for NIR sensing using a stacked CMOS image sensor is introduced. There are two photodetection layers, a conventional layer and a bottom photodiode, in the stacked CMOS image sensor. The bottom photodiode is used as the NIR absorption layer. Therefore, the suggested pixel structure does not change the thickness of the conventional photodiode. To verify the suggested pixel structure, sensitivity was simulated using an optical simulator. As a result, the sensitivity was improved by a maximum of 130% and 160% at wavelengths of 850 nm and 940 nm, respectively, with a pixel size of 1.2 ㎛. Therefore, the proposed pixel structure is useful for NIR sensing without thickening the silicon.

일본 성능평가 제도기반 터널 스캐닝 시스템 성능 분석 (Performance analysis of tunnel scanning system based on Japanese performance evaluation system)

  • 본 논문은 일본의 성능평가 제도인 NETIS의 사후평가와 점검 지원 기술 성능 카탈로그를 통해 기존 터널 스캐닝 시스템의 성능을 분석하였다. 분석을 통해 터널 스캐닝 시스템의 개선 사항과 개발 방향에 대한 시사점을 도출하였다. 일본의 신기술은 사용자 중심의 정보 제공을 우선시하여 NETIS의 사후평가와 점검 지원 기술 성능 카탈로그의 표준시험방법을 통해 다양한 터널 스캐닝 시스템의 특성을 객관적으로 비교하고 분석할 수 있다. 국내의 건설신기술은 기술인증의 공급자 중심으로 터널 스캐닝 시스템에 대한 객관적인 성능 비교는 불가능하였다. 일본의 터널 스캐닝 시스템의 핵심장치인 카메라의 제원을 비교하여 성능을 간접적으로 비교 평가하였다. 향후 터널 스캐닝 시스템 개발을 위해서는 카메라의 고해상도와 빠른 노출 성능 그리고 이에 부합되는 고휘도의 조명 장치가 요구된다. 실내에서 카메라와 조명의 성능을 분석할 수 있는 실험 환경 조성도 필요할 것으로 판단된다.

  • The utilization of Wireless Ad Hoc Network which can build easily network using wireless device in difficult situation to build network is very good. However, it has security threat element because it transfers data by only forwarding of wireless devices. The measures against this should be prepared because damage by especially routing attack can affect the entire network. It is hard to distinguish malicious node and normal node among nodes composing network and it is not easy also to detect routing attack and respond to this. In this paper, we propose new method which detect routing attack and can respond to this. The amount of traffic in all nodes is measured periodically to judge the presence or absence of attack node on the path set. The technique that hides inspection packet to suspected node and transmits is used in order to detect accurately attack node in the path occurred attack. The experiment is performed by comparing SRAODA and SEAODV technique to evaluate performance of the proposed technique and the excellent performance can be confirmed.

A Survey on Improvements of Range Hood in Apartment

  • Purpose: Residential cooking(gas or electricity) emits many air pollutants. For Removal of these contaminants, range hood is play an important role in the cooking activities. However, deterioration about performance of range hood can be occur in used range hood which is not verified on performance by testing balancing and adjusting in apartment. So, purpose of this study is to improve the range hood against cooking-generated contaminations. Method: To improve hood, survey of range hood which mounted in apartment have to conduct at first. In this study, the survey was conducted for 3 steps. First, Visual inspection for conditions of range hood. Second, questionnaire of operating and maintenance method. Third, interview with user about need for improvement, complainant. Finally, we integrated the survey for range hood and introduced the probable cause of deterioration through this comprehensive survey. Result: Result of measurement for air volume for range hood, A measured air volume has reduced by 41.4, 38.0, 32.0% each step from rated air volume. There are lots of reasons of this phenomenon including to maintenance, air path of duct, lower-cost devices, exhaust ports. For solve this problem, guideline about operating hood, user in apartment will have to supply with maintenance information at first.
