딥러닝을 이용한 외부 조도 아래에서의 시인성 향상 알고리즘 (Algorithm for Improving Visibility under Ambient Lighting Using Deep Learning)

  • 강한 외부 조도 아래에서의 디스플레이는 인간의 인지 시스템에 의해, 실제보다 더 어둡게 인지된다. 해당 문제를 소프트웨어 측면에서 해결하기 위한 기존의 기법들은, 외부 조도에 대응하지 못하거나 밝기에 비해 색상이 향상되지 못하는 한계를 보인다. 따라서 본 논문은 외부 조도 값에 따라 영상의 밝기 및 색상을 향상하는 시인성 개선 알고리즘을 제안한다. 해당 알고리즘은 입력 영상과 함께 외부 조도 값을 인자로 받은 후, 딥러닝 모델을 통한 luminance 학습 및 chrominance 복원 방정식을 적용하여, 개선된 영상의 열화 현상과 입력 영상과의 대비 차이가 최소화되도록 영상을 생성한다. 이는 정성적 평가에서 열화 모델링 적용 영상 비교를 통해 해당 알고리즘이 강한 외부 조도 아래에서의 시인성 개선에 뛰어난 성능을 보임을 확인할 수 있다.

The Effects of Thai Consumers' Attitudes of Korean-Wave on the Visit Intentions of Korean Restaurants-Focusing on the Mediation Effects of Perceived Consumption Value of Restaurant

  • Purpose - This study is an empirical study on the relationship of Thai consumers' attitude toward Korean Wave with the visit intention of Korean restaurants and a mediation effect of consumption value of Korean restaurants. Design/Methodology/Approach - Data were collected using a structured questionnaire of 245 Thai consumers and the hypotheses presented were verified by regression analysis and structural equation models. Findings - As a result of the empirical analysis, it was found that the higher the attractiveness and favorableness of Thai consumers for K-Wave, the higher the intention to visit Korean restaurants, and the Korean Wave attitude have a positive effect on the functional and symbolic values of Korean restaurants. In particular, the important result that can be presented in this study is that the better the attitude toward K-Wave, the higher the consumption value (functional/symbolic value) of Korean restaurants and the symbolic value plays a significant mediating effect on the relationship of the attitude of K-Wave and visiting intention, while the effect of functional value is not verified. Research Implication or Originality - These results means that in order to lead Thai consumers to a Korean restaurant using K-Wave, a strategy to make Thai ones perceive symbolic value of a Korean restaurant higher would be more effective. The main strategic implication of this study is that a high-end positioning strategy with a high symbolism, which make Korean restaurant as a suitable place as a means to show off one's value (or self) or as a means to show off one's social status (or role) to Thai consumers, will be relatively effective.

The effect of short-term creatine intake on blood lactic acid and muscle fatigue measured by accelerometer-based tremor response to acute resistance exercise

  • [Purpose] The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of short-term creatine intake on muscle fatigue induced by resistance exercise in healthy adolescent men, i.e., lactic acid concentration and wrist and head tremor measured by an accelerometer. [Methods] Twelve healthy adolescent men who had no experience with creatine intake were included. The subjects were randomly assigned to the creatine group and the placebo group, followed by 5 days of creatine and placebo intake, and 5 times of 5 sets of leg press, leg extension, bench press, and arm curl exercises at 70% repetition maximum (RM). The lactic acid concentration before and after exercising, rate of perceived exertion (RPE), and accelerometer-based wrist tremor and head tremor during exercise were measured. Subsequently, after 7 days to allow for creatine washout, the same exercise treatment and measurement were performed in each group after switching drug and placebo between the groups. [Results] The level of lactic acid before and after the acute resistance exercise trial was significantly lower in the creatine group than in the placebo group (P <0.05). The mean RPE during the resistance exercise was significantly lower in the creatine group than in the placebo group (P <0.05). There was no difference between the two groups in the mean wrist tremor during resistance exercise, but the mean head tremor values were significantly lower in the creatine group than in the placebo group in the arm curl, the last event of the exercise trials (P <0.05). [Conclusion] Short-term creatine intake reduces the blood fatigue factor increased by resistance exercise, and is thought to suppress fatigue, especially in the latter half of resistance exercise. Therefore, these findings indicate that short-term creatine intake can have an improved effect on anaerobic exercise performance.

IPA를 활용한 농촌다움에 대한 거주민의 인식 및 평가 - 고창군 지역 리더그룹을 중심으로 - (Residents' Perception and Evaluation of New Ruralism Using IPA - Focusing on the Regional Leader Group in Gochang-gun -)

  • This study measured the importance and satisfaction of the values related to 'New Ruralism' using the IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) technique by the rural leaders' group. In the result, the satisfaction value was evaluated lower in the importance of 'landscape and ecological resource conservation', 'settlement environment', and 'population' related items. On the other hand, the items of 'tourism resource management', 'landscape damage', and 'landscape and ecological resource conservation' showed high satisfaction. Therefore, the leaders' group of Gochang-gun perceived the importance of local tourism image, landscape damage prevention, settlement environment, and rural landscape in 'New Ruralism' management. However, the leaders' group valued lower in the items of population, ecological value and natural and historical tourist sites. This seems to be a characteristic of the leaders' group mainly engaged in agriculture. Through factor analysis, the six items excluded from the analysis were considered important factors in 'New Ruralism' in Gochang-gun through a review of previous studies. Still, the leaders' group of Gochang-gun did not recognize them as important items in the rural resource. However, these items will be able to contribute to the development of 'New Ruralism' in Gochang-gun, and it is necessary to improve the awareness of the leader group. Even if local governments or experts present an ideal goal for rural development, it is difficult to achieve the goals if there is a difference from the perception of residents. Therefore, it is important to understand the perception of 'New Ruralism' of the leaders' group who plays an important role in regional development projects.

연상네트워크기법(Means-end Chain method)을 이용한 식품소비자행동 질적 연구 - 스웨덴인의 아시아 음식 인식을 중심으로 - (A Qualitative Study of Food Consumer Behavior Using the Means-end Chain Method - Illustrating Research into Swede's Perception on Asian Food -)

  • The principal objective of this study was to analyze Swede's perceptions of Asian food using a means-end chain method, which may contribute to our understanding of new markets for a food industry interested in globalizing Korean food. With the Means-end chain method, one can determine the cognitive structures built in consumer's minds, which are developed by connecting attributes of product, consequences, and values. The attributes of Asian food that are most positively perceived by Swedes are 'fresh vegetables', 'low-fat', 'light meat and seafood', 'exotic ingredients', 'not expensive' and 'unknown food'. The consequences of eating Asian food connected to these attributes are 'healthy', 'tasty', 'good way to save money' and 'curious'. Finally, Swedes expect to enjoy a value of 'achievement' at the end. Based on the result that 'unknown food' attribute is connected to 'achievement' value, Swedes are assumed to be attracted by the fact that Korean food is 'unknown food'. However, the effect of the 'unknown food' attribute will fade away with time; therefore, stressing Korean food's status as a 'healthy' food, which can be attributed to its use of 'fresh vegetable' and 'light meat and seafood' ingredients and 'low fat' cooking method may be effective as a long-term strategy for making Korean food attractive. The 'healthy' consequence is connected to Swedes' perception of the value 'achievement' and simultaneously to their perception of the value 'belonging and love/sense of belonging'.

반려견 정서상태에 따른 객관적 진단 도구의 신뢰도와 타당도 연구 (Reliability and Validity of Objective Diagnosis Tools According to the Emotional State of Companion Canine)

  • This study aimed to verify the results of emotional analysis with respect to canine behavior as reported in the existing animal behavior field based on the dog vestibular emotional reflex (VER) principle, and to evaluate humans and animals based on empathy gained through true communication rather than human-centered interpretation. A total of 200 canines were divided into non-daily and daily situation groups (n=100 each). To assess the psychological and emotional state of each group, these changes were applied to the principle of VER, and six measurement values were selected: positive emotion (balance and energy), negative emotion (tension/anxiety and stress), and body condition (inhibition and neuroticism). The results showed a statistically significant difference (p<0.05) in positive emotions, negative emotions, and body conditions between the two groups. In addition, balance, energy, tension/anxiety, inhibition, and neuroticism were higher in the non-daily situation group than in the daily situation group, with an exception for stress. Compared with the canine daily situation groups, canine in the non-daily situation groups instinctively observed their surroundings to cope with possible threats, had decreased concentration, and elevated vitals due to high-intensity anxiety. This can be perceived as a state of immediate reaction to possible situations/threats. In conclusion, it was confirmed through Vibra Image technology that canine instability mainly affects three factors: positive emotion, negative emotion, and physical condition.

과학과 관련된 사회.윤리적 문제에 대한 의사결정 시 수행하는 비형식적 추론 분석 (An Analysis of Informal Reasoning in the Context of Socioscientific Decision-Making)

  • This study was focused on analyzing students' informal reasoning patterns and their considerations in decision-making on socioscientific issues. This study involved 20 undergraduate students (10 biology majors and 10 non-biology majors) and showed how the two groups responded on socioscientific issues. Semi-structured interviews were conducted twice respectively based on six scenarios of gene therapy and human cloning. The result showed 93% of the total number of participants' decisions were made by rationalistic reasoning, whereas emotional reasoning was 49%, and intuitive reasoning was 27%. Students usually used two or three informal reasoning patterns together. Most of the students took more consideration on social factors. Some perceived ethical and moral implications of the issues, but they did not consider them seriously. They made their decisions depending on their own values, etc. 65% of the participants got their information on socioscientific issues from the mass media. Biology majors hardly used intuitive reasoning compared to non-biology majors. The Biology major group took into deep considerations on socioscientific issues while the non-biology major group seemed to interpret the given scenarios simply. This implied that the content knowledge was a significant factor of their decision-making. Therefore, it is necessary to develop proper science courses for non-major students to improve their decision-making on socioscientific issues. So, when we develop educational materials or programs, we should consider students' reasoning patterns, their considerations in decision-making, and their content knowledge. And because the mass media has the potential to play a key role for an effective education, we need to make a plan to make a practical application.

사후 서비스에서 선제적 서비스로 서비스 패러다임의 전환 (Transition of Service Paradigm from Service Recovery to Proactive Service)

  • 본 연구에서는 초고속인터넷 상품에 관련된 고객 불만사항(VOC, Voice of Customer)의 빅데이터를 활용하여 고객이 지각하는 품질이상의 원인과 선제적 서비스의 가능성을 살펴보았다. 선제적 서비스의 가능성을 검증하기 위해 실제 이동통신 서비스기업의 시설·장비의 총 13개 장애경보에 관련된 품질이상 VOC를 수집한 후, 𝒙2검증을 통해 품질이상 VOC 실제관측값과 기대값이 통계적으로 유의한 차이가 있는 지 검증하였다. 연구결과, 시설·장비의 총 13개 장애경보 관련 품질이상 VOC 중 6개의 장애경보로서, 'FTTH-R 장비 ON/OFF', 'FTTH-E,V 회선오류 감지', '포트불량, FTTH-R 회선오류 감지', '네트워크 LOOP 감지', 그리고 '비정상 트래픽 제한'은 실시간 모니터링을 통한 선제적 서비스가 가능하다는 통계적 근거를 찾았다. 기업들은 이러한 선제적 서비스를 이용하여 시잠점유율을 향상키시고 고객서비스 비용을 절감하는 데 적용할 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구의 결과는 통신서비스 분야의 선제적 서비스의 가능성을 진단하고, 나아가 효과적인 선제적 서비스 제공 방안에 대한 시사점을 제시하였다는 점에서 실제 산업 적용에 대한 공헌점이 기대된다.

아로니아 과즙 첨가량에 따른 젤리의 품질특성 (Quality Characteristics of Jelly Containing Aronia (Aronia melanocarpa) Juice)

  • 아로니아 과즙의 첨가량을 0, 3, 6, 9%로 달리하여 젤리를 제조하고 품질특성과 소비자 기호도 및 항산화 활성을 평가하였다. 아로니아 과즙 첨가량을 0-9%까지 달리하여 제조한 젤리의 수분함량은 81.1-81.9%로 통계적으로 유의성 있는 차이는 나타내지 않았다. 당도의 경우는 아로니아 과즙 첨가량에 비례하여 증가하였고 이는 젤리 제조시 물 대신 첨가한 아로니아 과즙에 함유된 당류에 의한 증가한 것으로 사료된다. 젤리의 명도($L^*$)는 아로니아를 첨가하지 않은 대조구가 28.51으로 가장 높게 나타났으며, 아로니아 과즙의 첨가량이 증가함에 따라 유의적으로 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 아로니아 과즙 함량이 증가함에 따라 적색도($a^*$)는 증가한 반면에 황색도($b^*$)는 감소하였다. 대조군에 비해 아로니아 과즙 함량에 비례하여 경도와 씹힘성이 유의적으로 높았고 부착성은 아로니아 과즙을 첨가하지 않은 대조군에 비해 아로니아 과즙을 6%와 9% 첨가하여 제조한 젤리에 다소 높게 나타났으나 통계적인 유의성은 관찰되지 않았다. 아로니아 과즙 첨가여부 및 첨가량에 상관없이 젤리의 탄성, 응집성과 검성은 통계적으로 유의성 있는 차이는 나타나지 않았다. 아로니아 과즙 첨가량에 비례하여 젤리에 함유된 폴리페놀, 플라보노이드 및 안토시아닌 함량도 증가하였다. 아로니아 과즙을 첨가하여 제조한 젤리의 DPPH 및 ABTS 라디칼 소거능은 대조구에서는 거의 나타나지 않았으나 아로니아 과즙 첨가량이 많아질수록 증가하는 경향을 보였다. 소비자 기호도 평가에서는 아로니아 과즙 6%를 첨가하여 제조한 젤리의 색, 향미, 맛, 질감, 씹힘성, 전반적인 선호도가 높은 것으로 나타났으며 소비자 기호도 뿐만 아니라 경제적인 측면을 고려해 볼 때 아로니아 젤리 제조시 아로니아 과즙의 함량은 6%가 가장 적당할 것으로 사료된다.

누에 분말을 첨가한 다식의 기호도 특성 (Quality Characteristics of Dasik with Added Silkworm Powder)

  • 현대 사회는 지금 기능성 식품에 지대한 관심이 높아졌다. 특히 성인병에 좋은 식품들의 연구가 활발히 이루어지는 실정이다(Kim et al 2003). 누에 가루 첨가가 다식의 품질 특성에 미치는 영향을 보기 위해 누에 분말 첨가 비율(0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%)을 달리하여 다식을 제조한 다음, 다식의 수분, 색도 측정, 물성측성, 관능 평가를 한 결과 다음과 같다. 수분 함량은 누에가루 첨가량이 늘어날수록 유의적으로 증가하였다. 누에 가루다식의 색도 측정 결과 L값은 대조군에 비해 누에 가루의 첨가량이 증가할수록 유의적으로 낮아졌으며(p<0.05), a와 b값은 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 누에 가루 첨가 수준에 따른 다식의 물성을 측정한 결과, 경도(hardness)는 첨가량이 많을수록 단단함의 정도가 유의적으로 감소하는 것을 보였으며(p<0.05), 부착성(adhesiveness)은 누에 가루 첨가량이 40%에서 높게 나왔다. 누에 가루 첨가 수준에 따른 다식의 관능 특성을 조사한 결과, 30% 누에 가루를 첨가한 다식이 색, 향, 맛 등의 기호도가 높은 것으로 조사되었고, 씹힘성은 누에 가루를 첨가하지 않은 다식의 기호도가 유의적으로 가장 낮았다(p<0.05). 따라서 누에 분말을30%로 첨가한 다식의 기호도와 전체적인 품질 특성이 가장 적합한 것으로 생각되어지며, 기능성식품으로 우리 전통적인 다식에 누에 가루를 첨가하여 활용되어질 수 있으리라 보여진다.
