A survey was implemented to suggest basic data for assuring the safety of cooked foods in foodbank operations. A questionnaire consisted of total 48 items including general characteristics, basic inputs and perceived importance/performance of sanitary management. One hundred twenty-eight responses among the 267 nationwide foodbanks were used for the statistical analysis. About forty-one percent of foodbanks was operated a period of 1-3 years and 43.0% of them were managed by social welfare organizations. The number of staff was only 0.5 person per operation with the whole responsibility and 1.0 with additional work, and thus most of the work was managed by volunteers. Job satisfaction was shown to be moderate and was affected by specialty and salary mostly. The facilities and equipment in foodbanks were not enough to operate and freezers/refrigerators were the top priority to supplement. Most of the respondents attended a nationwide level sanitary education program (79.7%); but complained not enough frequency of education (90%). The sanitary status of the donated foods was considered as satisfactory but some safety practices had to be improved, including personnel expenses and operating costs in the district level, a sanitary awareness of the donors and a general management of the facilities arid equipment. An assessment on sanitary management resulted in an overall average of 4.45 out of 5 points in importance and 3.85 in performance showing the high level of sanitation perception in foodbank managers. From the IPA analysis, the fields found to be improved were sanitation management during cooking and temperature control as well as cleanliness and sanitation of both transport vehicle and refrigerator/freezer. To secure the food safety in foodbanks, consequently, personnel support, supplement of facilities and equipment, intense sanitation education and development of sanitation management program is needed.

In order to overcome the limitations of the previous study, this study reviews the concepts related to spirituality, spiritual wellbeing, workplace spirituality, spirituality and religion in detail. Furthermore, this study was to examine the effects of spiritual education. It is important to examine the effects of spiritual education on individual performance. To do this, proposed model in this study reflects individual, group, and organizational perspectives to reflect all dimensions of spirituality. The proposal model rooted in the theory of vocational personality types and work environments was analyzed empirically. We found that non-work commitment has a negative effect on perceived importance of spiritual education. On the other hand, the appropriateness of work and managers' concerns have a positive effect on the awareness of spiritual education. In addition, awareness of spiritual education has a positive influence on satisfaction of spiritual education. Finally, perceived importance of spiritual education has a positive effect on the satisfaction of spiritual education. Conclusions and implications are discussed.
With the advancement of virtual reality technology, virtual reality contents and devices are being competitively released. This research deals with an early stage adoption model of a motion-sensing input device which enhances the user experience of these virtual reality contents and devices. In contrast to the previous research on the adoption or resistance of innovative products, this work compares and analyzes the antecedents in MIR(Model of Innovation Resistance) of resistance-perspective as well as those in UTAUT2(Extended Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology) and IDT(Innovation Diffusion Theory) of adoption-perspective, and suggests a resistance-incorporated adoption model from a new viewpoint. The analysis of questionnaire data indicates the following results: Performance expectancy, effort expectancy, price value, hedonic motivation in UTAUT2 and visibility in IDT have a significant negative influence on innovation resistance. Compatibility in IDT and MIR exerts a positive influence on perceived value. Social influence and hedonic motivation in UTAUT2 positively relates to perceived value. Higher innovation resistance results in lower perceived value, with innovation resistance and perceived value negatively and positively affecting intention to use, respectively.
Purpose: This study developed a structural model for explaining and predicting terminal care performance in long-term care hospital nurses. The model was based on the stress integration model of Ivancevich and Matteson(1980) and the results of previous studies. Method: Data was obtained from August to September 2022 from 267 nurses in 13 long-term care hospitals in G-do. Results: Results of model verification for this study, revealed that factors directly affecting the terminal care performance of long-term care hospital nurses were nursing work environment(β=0.43, p<0.001), death anxiety(β=-0.29, p<0.001), and terminal care stress(β=0.22, p=0.003). However, the attitude toward nursing care of dying(β=0.07, p=0.287) had no effect on the terminal care performance. Conclusion: The results of this study, confirmed the necessity of improving an individual's perceived nursing work environment, continuous education related to terminal care to reduce death anxiety, and an interventional approach for enhancing terminal care performance.
This study was designed to grasp the degree of job stress affecting dental technicians and the degree of the symptoms of their job stress. With this in mind, the researcher selected a total of 170 dental technicians living in Seoul and Incheon, conducting a research in a period ranging from August 1,2001, to August 20, 2001. The researcher made use of a structured questionnaire whose reliability and feasibility are proved. The questionnaire is composed of a total of 55 questions: thirteen questions related to the subjects' general characteristics; 28 questions connected to the measurement of job stress and fourteen questions linked with the measurement of job-stress symptoms. The researcher analyzed the findings with the aid of SPSS(Statistical Package for Social Sciences). The research came to draw the following conclusions on the basis of frequency, percentage, T-test, and F-test, multiple regression. I. The analysis into the job stress of the subjects indicates that there is a significant difference in difficult questions among their work places, working hours, academic background, job satisfaction and jobs(P<.05). The job stress stands at 3.48 on the average, and the area of conflict among too much work and job performance turns out to be highly perceived. 2. The analysis into the degree of the symptoms of the job stress of the subjects shows that there is a significant difference in work place, working hours, job satisfaction and the continual maintenance of job(P<.05). The symptoms of job stress accounts for 2.65 on the average. Physical symptoms turn out to be highly perceived; The response 'My arms and legs are killing me' proves to stand for 3.03. 3. The correlation between job stress and the symptoms of job stress turns out to be significant(r=0.519, P<0.001), and there is a significant correlation between the average points of each job-stress area and the average points of the symptoms of job stress. All in all, it is necessary that dental technicians themselves should make positive efforts to control and relieve stress and that more efficient programs should be implemented with a view to dealing with stress.
This study was conducted to identify the problems related to operation of the committee system in university hospitals and to propose the direction for reforming it. Data were collected by surveying 138 working-level administration managers of committees from 12 university hospitals in Seoul in October, 1995. The results were as follows: 1. The purposes of the committee were to promote the reasonable dicision making in the hospitals, to satisfy the requirement of Hospital Accreditation Program and, to execute the administrational instructions in due order. The sort of job which was charged of chairmen and the majority of committee member was doctor. 2. The committees which were to be held the meeting frequently in a year were general management committees(8.25 times/year). But in case of operation rate, medical care-related committees showed the most frequent meeting(90.15%). Most of committees made the regulations and reported the results of their meeting to the CEO of their hospitals by written documents. 3. Most doctors thought the medical care-related committees useful. Medical technicians regarded education and research-related committees as useful, while administrators favored the general management committees. 4. The factors related to the perceived performance of the committee were the kind of job, the class of job and the kind of committee. Also, the perceived performance of the committee was positively related to the usefulness in efficient management of work, and negatively to uncertainties in responsibility and a nominal role of the committee. 5. Most of the respondnts thought that the concern of the top manager about the committee was the most important factor for the improvement of committee system at hospitals. They also regarded that formalization of the objectives and regulation rule and composition of committees with members which work in various fields as essential. Further studies on the organizational and operational cjharacteristics which include general hospitals in various areas are required.

Purpose: To identify the clinical role of Advanced Practice Nurses (APN), and evaluate how other medical personnel perceive their work(difficulty, importance). Methods: A questionnaire survey was performed with 277 health care providers (APN 52, nurses 88, and medical doctors 137 [professors 51, fellows 44, & residents 42]) in a single, tertiary hospital. The questionnaire was categorized into 6 domains (total 40 tasks): 6 tasks on identifying health issues (A); 3 tasks on prescribing and conducting diagnostic tests (D); 18 tasks on disease treatment (T); 4 tasks regarding prescribing medicine (M); 3 tasks regarding medical collaboration (C); 6 tasks regarding patient education (E). The survey measured the frequency, difficulty, and importance of APN's clinical tasks, and evaluated the willingness of authorizing clinical tasks to APN. Results: The most frequent tasks for APN were A domain, lowest were T domain. The scores for perceived job difficulty were lower than those for job importance in all groups. The proportion of willingness to legally delegate clinical practices to APN was higher in A and E domains, but lower in D and T domains. However, professors, who spent the most time with APN, showed a higher willingness to legally delegate clinical practice. The participants favored medical doctors as substitutes for tasks which were not legislated for delegated job performance. Conclusion: In this study identified clinical roles that medical doctors considered possible for legal delegation to APN were identified. The results can be used as evidence for the legalization of the practice of APN.
The effect of pitch on tone durations was studied in several poeces of music. In previous work it was found that higher pitched sounds, of a given duration, were perceived to be of longer duration. That work however, was not undertaken in a musical context. The present work was done to determine whether the previously observed trend was also apparent in musical performances. Several measurements were undertaken. One of these involved analysing the recorded performance duration of notes in several performances of the Mozart Flute Quartet in A-mojor, K.298. Performed durations were also obtained from a Bach Flute Sonata and a Brahms Clarinet Quintet. An analysis of the musical performances revealed that while there were individual differences and exceptions in notes, the musicians tended to play higher notes significantly shortened.
Objectives: This study aimed to analyze the relation between factors related to the clinical performance competency of dental hygiene students and their clinical learning environment. Methods: The study conducted a survey of dental hygiene students from October 18 to 30, 2023. The data were analyzed using one way analysis of variance, t-test, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The total practicum lasted ≤10 weeks, 11-15 weeks, and ≥16 weeks for 41.7%, 33.5%, and 24.8% of the students, respectively. Half of them had experience at only one clinical institution. Clinical learning environment had an average score of 3.46 points, whereas the average clinical performance competency of the participants was 3.60 points. The major influencing factors on clinical performance competency were identified as preceptor' s guidance (β=0.277), work participation opportunities (β=0.213), and perceived importance of clinical practice (β=0.136). Conclusions: Efforts are required to provide students with prior education on the importance of clinical practice, improve the clinical learning environment with a focus on preceptor's guidance and work participation opportunities. And standardize various elements to resolve differences in the practice of clinical institutions across regions.
