The purpose of this study is to investigate the differences in fashion shopping orientation and perceived value according to the level of use of mobile fashion shopping. Furthermore, the effect of fashion shopping orientation on perceived value was analyzed. To estimate the level of use of mobile fashion shopping, respondents were classified into four different groups in terms of their frequency of buying fashion products and the period for which they had bought fashion products. The survey was limited to adults aged 20-40 years who had purchased fashion products in a mobile shopping mall. The questionnaire was carried out from April 15, 2015 to April 22, 2015 and 430 sets of useful response data were analyzed using SPSS 17.0. The results of this study were as follows: First, fashion shopping orientation for mobile shopping consumers was divided into four factors as follows: convenience/economic shopping, ostentation/trend shopping, enjoyment shopping, and impulse shopping. Second, there was a significant difference in all the fashion shopping orientation factors except for convenience/economic shopping according to each classified group: short/few, long/few, short/many, and long/many. In addition, there was a significant difference in perceived value according to each group. Third, all the fashion shopping orientation factors except for impulse shopping had a significant influence on perceived value. Fourth, fashion shopping orientation factors had a slightly significant influence on the perceived value according to each group.
This study was conducted to explore the causal relationship between the characteristics of mobile shopping mall use and the effect on the intention to use mobile shopping malls through perceived value (hedonic value and utilitarian value). Specifically, this study defined the usage characteristics of mobile shopping malls as accessibility, convenience, and enjoyment, respectively, and attempted to explain the relationship on the intention of use through perceived value. The research results are as follows. First, it was found that enjoyment had a positive (+) effect on hedonic value. However, it was found that convenience did not affect hedonic value. On the other hand, contrary to expectations, accessibility was found to have a negative (-) effect on hedonic value. Second, it was found that accessibility and convenience had a positive (+) effect on utilitarian value. However, it was found that pleasure did not affect utilitarian value. Third, it was found that utilitarian value had a positive (+) effect on the intention to use mobile shopping, while hedonic value did not affect the intention to use mobile shopping. Through this, it is meaningful to provide mobile shopping users with solutions to improve their restrictions in the shopping process.
With the increasing popularity of mobile commerce, restaurant service has become one of the leading service categories. Thus, this study attempted to understand the shopping behavior of restaurant mobile consumers by focusing on their shopping orientations. Specifically, this study investigated the structural relationships among shopping orientations, perceived value, concentration, and purchase intention in restaurant mobile commerce. Data analysis employing a structural equation approach was carried out for this study. Results revealed that, first, a consumer's shopping orientations was found to have a positive influence on perceived value, with time/convenience orientation possessing a stronger influence on perceived value than other factors (economic and hedonic). Second, a consumer's perceived value was found to affect concentration and purchase intention. Third, a consumer's concentration also appeared to influence purchase intention.
Conceptualization of store image have been suggested in the past by many marketing scholars. The dominant perspective about store image is treated as the results of a multi-attribute model. Store image is expressed as a function of the salient attributes of a particular store that are evaluated. Though, there is a little confusions about what elements compose the store image, most scholars agree that merchandise, service, atmosphere, physical facilities, comfort, and location are generally accepted elements as store image. A considerable researches support that shopping can provide both hedonic and utilitarian value. Hedonic shopping value reflects the value received from fantasy and emotive aspects of shopping experience, while utilitarian shopping value reflects the acquisition of products. These two types of shopping value can affect shopping satisfaction. This study examines the relationships among stores images(store atmosphere, salespeople services, facilities, product assortment, and store location), shopping values(utilitarian shopping value and hedonic shopping value), and shopping satisfaction based on discount stores (E-Mart, Home plus, and Lotte Mart). The author hypothesized that five store image components affect shopping values, and these shopping values affect shopping satisfaction. The author focused on the roles of perceived retail crowding between these relationships. Specifically, the author hypothesized that perceived retailing crowding moderated the relationship between shopping values and shopping satisfaction. The author also hypothesized the direct effect of perceived retail crowding on shopping satisfaction. Finally, the author hypothesized that five store image components affect directly shopping satisfaction. Research model is presented in
. To test model and hypotheses, data were collected from 114 consumers located mid-size city in local area. The author employs PLS methodology (SmartPLS 2.0) to test hypotheses. Data analysis results indicate that among five store images salespeople services, and store location affect utilitarian shopping value. Store atmosphere, salespeople services, and store location affect hedonic shopping value. Two shopping values affect shopping satisfaction. Hedonic shopping value affect more shopping satisfaction than utilitarian shopping value. Data analysis results is presented in
. The author examines the moderating effects of perceived retail crowding between shopping values and shopping satisfaction. Results indicate that there are no moderating effects between shopping values and shopping satisfaction. Moderating effects of perceived retail crowding between utilitarian shopping value and shopping satisfaction are presented in
. Moderating effects of perceived retail crowding between hedonic shopping value and shopping satisfaction is presented in . The author examines the direct effect of perceived retail crowding on shopping satisfaction. Results are presented in
. The author analyzed the relationship between perceived retail crowding and shopping satisfaction using WarpPLS 3.0 which can analyze the non-linear relationship. Result indicates that perceived retail crowding affects directly shopping satisfaction and there is a non-linear relationship between them. Among five store image components, store atmosphere and salespeople services affect directly shopping satisfaction. The author describes about the managerial implications, limitations, and future research issues.
This study examined the effects of demographic variables on buying behavior, and investigated buyers'perceived value and risk perception of the internet shopping mall. The sample was collected by a department store in Daegu, and it included 1,732 individuals using the Cyber Mall. Research methods used in this study were simple statistics, t-test and ANOVA. The buyers perceived values through the internet shopping mall were classified into five categories-price, time, convenience, intrinsic attributes, reliability and the risk perception also was classified such as the overall purchasing process, quality of products, exposure of the personal information, delivery system, refund and exchange. The major findings of this study were 1) most important categories affecting their buying behavior were the value of convenience and following values in order were time, price, reliability, intrinsic attributes. 2) the risk perception were overall purchasing behavior, quality of products, exposure of personal information, delivery, and refund & exchange in order. 3) age of buyers, buying experience on the internet shopping mall, and gender were the important factors affecting the buyers'perceived value and risk. 4) the study also, showed that according to the variety of products, buyers perceived the value and risk differently, for example, the price was the most important perceived value in case of food product. This study examines the influence of product classification standards and structure on user perception as well as their attitude towards online shopping sites. The causal relationships of variables are also examined. The analysis was based on an online survey with 247 responses. Four types of internet shopping sites were developed and used as a stimulus. The results of the mean comparison analysis indicated that perceived variety, information overload, perceived shopping value and attitude towards the site varies significantly with product classification standards and structure. There was also of a marginally significant interaction between the classification standard and structure on perceived variety and information overload. The causal relationship analysis revealed that perceived variety positively influenced hedonic and utilitarian shopping value. However, information overload had a negative effect on hedonic and utilitarian shopping value. Both the hedonic and utilitarian shopping value positively influenced attitudes towards the sites. This study demonstrates that classification method influences customer perception and attitude. It offers interesting insights on a product classification method as a strategic tool for online shopping.
