In the social media, information that users share with service providers can be divided into personal identification information such as gender and age and privacy-related information such as photos and comments. However, previous works on IS and service management have shed relatively little light on the difference of information-sharing decisions depending on the type of information. This study examines information-sharing decisions by separating the two types of information. A structural equation modeling method is used to test the research model based on a sample of 350 Facebook in South Korea. Analysis results show that self-expression, trust, and perceived security had a significant positive effect on both user's intentions to give personal identification information and their intentions to give privacy-related information. However, privacy concerns negatively affected their intentions to give personal identification and intention to give privacy-related information. The analysis results confirm that there was no difference between decision-making processes about sharing personal identification information and ones about sharing privacy-related information.
This study aims to examine the factors influencing user attitude toward Smart Home service as the demand of Smart Home service is increasing and it somewhat involves privacy risk. To this end, the research model includes five independent variables, trust in service provider, perceived privacy risk, self efficacy, interpersonal influence, and external influence, influencing the attitude toward Smart Home service. So, this study aims to analyze which variable is the most critical and influential among the five factors and suggest the direction of Smart Home industries. This study first reviews the literature on Smart Home services and describes its Korean situation. Data were collected from residents living in a smart apartment complex. The results show that (1) users have a very positive attitude toward Smart Home service in total, (2) trust in service providers, self efficacy, and interpersonal influence positively impact user attitude toward Smart Home service and interpersonal influence is the most influential variable, however, (3) perceived privacy risk and external influence dose not significantly impact it. These results imply that the role of service providers, self efficacy, and interpersonal influence are important factors on the user attitude toward Smart Home service. Finally, the study's findings and limitations are discussed and potential avenues for future research are suggested.
This study uses S-O-R framework to examine the relationships among consumers' perception of economic benefits, usefulness, privacy risks, switching cost, and emotions and continued intention usage. Results from an online survey of 324 qualified respondents were analyzed using the structural equation model. The results of the survey showed that first, perceived economic benefits and perceived usefulness has a positively effect on consumers' positive emotions. Second, perceived privacy risks have a negative effect on consumers' positive emotions. Third, perceived usefulness has a negative effect on consumers' negative emotions. Fourth, perceived switching cost has a positive effect on consumers' negative emotions. Fifth, consumers' positive and negative emotions have an effect on continuous usage intention. Sixth, consumers' positive and negative emotions have a mediating effect. The S-O-R model can explain consumer's continued intention to use mobile payment services. The study analyzed the emotional elements of mobile payment services. Emotional elements through mobile payment services can be applied to other financial services. Therefore, this study can guide emotional related practices with various future consumer electronic services.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is how Chinese users' personal traits affect the intention to use mobile payment. This research selects personal innovativeness and habit of cash payment as personal traits, and considers perceived risks and relative advantage as personal beliefs. In addition, the research divided perceived risks into three multi-faceted risks, which are privacy risk, financial risk and performance risk. Methods: The method of this study used questionnaire survey to collect 241 data on users' perception on mobile payment, and also used a structural equation modeling method. Results: The result of this paper shows that all hypotheses are statistically significant except 4 hypotheses. Conclusion: The result of this study found that personal innovativeness is negatively related with all 3 kinds of perceived risks as anticipated. And Chinese users' traditional habit of cash payment negatively affects intention to use mobile payment but is not statistically significant affecting three perceived risks. Among perceived risks, privacy risk is the most negatively influencing factor to relative advantage.
It needs to explain the relationship between influencers and consequences to use continuity of social media. To address this question, we have developed an framework and made hypotheses to explicate and analyze influencers(social presence, perceived privacy risk, perceived enjoyment, commitment, and community identification) to the attitude and continuity of social media. To test empirically, data collected from on and line survey and resolved by structural equation model. We found that social presence, perceived enjoyment and commitment influence to the attitude and continuity of social media. Finally, the theoretical and practical implications of theses results are discussed also research limitation and future research directions.
Purpose -This study was based on the TAM and the trust of Bangladeshi in social impact, privacy and security, compatibility, perceived-ease of use, and perceived-usefulness. The purpose of this study is to investigate how these variables affect the acceptance of online banking. Research design, data, and methodology - Internet survey was conducted for individuals who had experience in using the online banking service, and those who have no experience in online banking were excluded from the analysis. The questionnaire was distributed to Bangladesh respectively, and data were collected. Result - Trust is the variable that has the greatest influence on the adaption of online banking service. Perceived-usefulness was found to have a important effect on individuals' behavioral-intention towards the adopting of online Banking services in Bangladesh. It was also found that compatibility, privacy and security were important predictors. Conclusion - The TAM model, which explains individual behavioral intentions toward adopting online banking services in Bangladesh, is sufficiently applicable. Perceived ease of use found an important predictor of trust. Another very important constructive correlation between trust and perceived-usefulness, suggesting that consumers who realize that online banking is safe and useful.
Internet-based financial services are being increasingly integrated into consumers' daily lives. Internet-only banks have emerged as a powerful tool accelerating financial inclusion. This study investigates the satisfaction and continuous use intention predictors for Internet-only banks. We employed an extended post-acceptance model and used six antecedent factors that included perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, privacy risk, functional risk, subjective norms, and network externality. All 351 participants used Internet-only banks and were 20-40 years of age. A self-administration online survey was conducted. SPSS 23.0 analyzed the frequency, description, and multiple regression analysis. The results of current study are as follows. The education, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and network externality positively influenced the satisfaction of Internet-only banks. Privacy risk negatively influenced satisfaction with Internet-only banks. Perceived ease of use, subjective norm, network externality, and satisfaction positively influenced the continuous use intention of Internet-only banks. The results of our study provide a better explanation of important factors that could enhance the understanding of satisfaction and continuous use intention for Internet-only banks. Furthermore, this study extends the antecedent variables to the knowledge of financial services and enlarges the understanding of users' post-adoption behaviors.

To achieve the goal, we set 6 sub-dimension - privacy risk, social risk, time lose risk, economic risk, psychological risk, and performance risk - based on comprehensive consideration of related studies, and established a research model included 2 factors such as perceived value and repurchase intention to measure performance in internet shopping malls. From 174 customers of the electronic commerce shopping malls survey data have been collected and analyzed based on the covariance structural model method. Firstly, four perceived risk characteristics of privacy risk, economic risk, psychological risk, and performance risk are significant effect on perceived value. Secondly, perceived value is very significantly related to repurchase intention in electronic commerce shopping malls. Consequently, we discussed the strategies to create perceived value and repurchase intention in electronic commerce environment. Also, we suggested the implications and further research directions.

This study investigates how librarians view library user privacy. To this end, a four-part survey was conducted: respondents' opinions about the privacy of library users, the degree to which library records violate the users' privacy, the role libraries and librarians fulfill to ensure user privacy protection, and librarians' need for privacy education. Results showed that librarians were very aware of privacy issues, but they perceived that library users' privacy awareness was not high. In particular, they had little knowledge of what library records or which library tasks might have the potential to violate users' privacy. In addition, awareness efforts of librarians to ensure user privacy was very low. On the other hand, the need for library user privacy educational programs was shown to be very high, and the willingness to participate was also relatively high.
