Objective : This study aimed to summarize and present the effects of group sensory integration treatment applied to children with and without disabilities in Korea. Methods : The search period was from January 2010 to December 2021, and databases of 'The Journal of Korean Academy of Sensory Integration', 'The Korean Journal of Occupational Therapy', 'Koreanstudies Information Service System', 'Research Information Sharing Service', 'DBpia' were used for data search. A total of 11 studies were selected, and the Patient, Intervention, Comparison, Outcome method was applied to organize them systematically. Results : As a result of the study, single-group non-randomized studies were the most common with 8 out of 11 studies (72.73%). There were 99 subjects, ranging in age from 3 to 11, and an average of 7.39. Among them, there were more children with disabilities, and 40 out of 99 (40.41%) were diagnosed with developmental disabilities the most. A total of 5 to 45 treatment intervention sessions were provided, and 60 minutes were the most frequently provided once or twice a week. The Canadian Occupational Performance Measure and The Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale were the most commonly used evaluation tools in 4 times each (12.90%). As the treatment intervention goal, social interaction skills was the most common with 8 studies (36.36%). As a result of treatment intervention, 8 studies showed significant results. Conclusion : Based on this study, it is expected that in the future, various methods of intervention of sensory integration therapy based on high quality levels can be systematically presented and used as useful information in clinical practice.

This paper presents a study on how augmenting semi-synthetic image data improves the performance of human detection algorithms. In the field of object detection, securing a high-quality data set plays the most important role in training deep learning algorithms. Recently, the acquisition of real image data has become time consuming and expensive; therefore, research using synthesized data has been conducted. Synthetic data haves the advantage of being able to generate a vast amount of data and accurately label it. However, the utility of synthetic data in human detection has not yet been demonstrated. Therefore, we use You Only Look Once (YOLO), the object detection algorithm most commonly used, to experimentally analyze the effect of synthetic data augmentation on human detection performance. As a result of training YOLO using the Penn-Fudan dataset, it was shown that the YOLO network model trained on a dataset augmented with synthetic data provided high-performance results in terms of the Precision-Recall Curve and F1-Confidence Curve.

Extremely low birth weight infants remain at increased risk of intraventricular hemorrhage from the fragile vascular bed of the germinal matrix; the roles of hypotension (ischemia) and reperfusion (hyperemia) in the development of intraventricular hemorrhage are still debated. Cerebrovascular pressure autoregulation protects the brain by maintaining constant cerebral blood flow despite changes in blood pressure. The ontogeny of cerebrovascular pressure autoregulation has not been well established and uncertainty remains about the optimal arterial blood pressure required to support brain perfusion. Another important aspect of premature cerebral hemodynamics is the critical closing pressure--the arterial blood pressure at which cerebral blood flow ceases. Interestingly, in premature infants, the critical closing pressure approximates the mean arterial blood pressure. Often in this unique population, cerebral blood flow occurs only during systole when the diastolic arterial blood pressure is equal to the critical closing pressure. Moreover, the diastolic closing margin, a metric of cerebral perfusion that normalizes diastolic arterial blood pressure to the critical closing pressure, may be a better measure than arterial blood pressure for defining cerebral perfusion in premature infants. Elevated diastolic closing margin has been associated with intraventricular hemorrhage. This review summarizes the current state of understanding of cerebral hemodynamics in premature infants.
A robust control design procedure for a nuclear reactor has been developed and experimentally validated on the Penn State TRIGA research reactor. The utilization of the robust controller as a component of an autonomous control system is also demonstrated. Two methods of specifying a low order (fourth-order) nominal-plant model for a robust control design were evaluated: 1) by approximation based on the 'physics' of the process and 2) by an optimal Hankel approximation of a higher order plant model. The uncertainty between the nominal plant models and the higher order plant model is supplied as a specification to the ,u-synthesis robust control design procedure. Two methods of quantifying uncertainty were evaluated: 1) a combination of additive and multiplicative uncertainty and 2) multiplicative uncertainty alone. The conclusions are that the optimal Hankel approximation and a combination of additive and multiplicative uncertainty are the best approach to design robust control for this application. The results from nonlinear simulation testing and the physical experiments are consistent and thus help to confirm the correctness of the robust control design procedures and conclusions.

For predicting eigenfrequency and initial growth rate of combustion instabilities in lean premixed gas turbine combustor, linear thermoacoustic analysis model was developed in the current paper. A model combustor was selected for the model validation, which has well-defined inlet and outlet conditions and a relatively simple geometry, compared to the combustor in the previous works. Analytical linear equations for thermoacoustic waves were derived for a given combustion system. It was found that the prediction results showed a good agreement with the measurements, even though there was underestimation for instability frequencies. This underestimation was more obvious for a longer flame (i.e. wider temperature distribution) than for a shorter flame.

Objective : This study aims to figure out the effect that sensory integration group therapy has on the fine motor, social interaction and playfulness of preschool children with intellectual disability. Methods : Participants were four children from three to five years old who were diagnosed with intellectual disabilities and they participated in twelve sessions of sensory integration group therapy, sixty minutes per session and once a week. Sensory integration group therapy was composed of parallel and peer play-centered gross motor activities, art activities and sensory plays that were related to each theme. Erhardt Developmental Prehension Assessment (EDPA), Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale (PIPPS) and Test of Playfulness (ToP) were used to evaluate participants' fine motor, social interaction and playfulness before and after the intervention. Results of fine motor, social interaction and playfulness before and after the intervention were compared using Wilcoxon matched-pair signed rank test. Results : After sensory integration group therapy intervention, the fine motor skills of participants did not show significant increases, but social interaction and playfulness showed significant increases (p< .05). Conclusion : Although sensory integration group therapy with preschool children with intellectual disability did not show positive improvement in fine motor skills, it showed positive effect on social interaction and playfulness. Group sensory integration therapy might be an intervention approach for all children with disabilities.

It was previously pointed out that mutation is the ultimate source of variation. Adequate variation is needed for plant breeding if there is a limitation in natural genetic resources. When the ionizing radiation has been known to cause chromosomal and genomic alternations, it is widely used for inducing mutagenesis. The electron beam as an ionizing radiation is the principal physical mutagens that induces mutation and effectively used in plant breeding. Since dose-response relationships of electron beam in plant species are rarely known, we investigated the seed germination rate and early seedling growth of irradiated seeds of creeping bentgrass (Agrostis palustris Huds., cv Penn-A1) with various electron beam irradiating conditions (1, 1.3, 2 MeV at both 0.03 mA and 0.06 mA with dose of 100 Gy (Gray) and 0.03, 1, 1.3, 2 MeV at 0.03 mA with dose of 200 Gy, respectively) using electron accelerator at Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute. The growth parameters in terms of shoot length, primary root length, and secondary root length showed similar response between 0.06 / 1 (mA / MeV) at 100 Gy and 0.03 / 0.3 (mA / MeV) at 200 Gy. Bentgrass seed germination was mainly affected by the intensity of irradiated dose (Gray). Germination rate was lowered as the irradiated dose increased. On the other hand, early seedling growth was mainly governed not by the dose of radiation but by voltage.
Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of preschoolers' negative emotionality on their peer play behaviors, focusing on the mediation of behavioral problems. Methods: The study sample included 287 preschoolers aged 3 to 5 attending child care centers located in Seoul, Korea. The instruments used in this study were the Child Behavior Questionnaires (CBQ), Child Behavior Checklist (CBCL), and Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale (PIPPS). Results: The main results of this study are as follows: First, boys and girls' negative emotionality exerted positive effects on their behavioral problems. Second, boys and girls' negative emotionality had a positive influence on their play interaction, play disruption, and play disconnection. Further, the effect of boys' negative emotionality on their play disruption and play disconnection was totally mediated by their behavioral problems, and girls' negative emotionality on their play interaction and play disconnection was totally mediated by their behavioral problems. Conclusion/Implications: These findings provide preliminary evidence that the relationships between preschoolers' negative emotionality and peer play behaviors may be mediated by their behavioral problems.
The ECR (Electron Cyclotron Resonance) Ar ion milling was manufactured to fabricate the device of thin film. The ECR ion milling system applied to the device etching operated by a power of 600W, a frequency of 2.45 GHz, and a wavelength of 12.24 cm and transferred by a designed waveguide. In order to match one resonant frequency, a magnetic field of 908 G was applied to a cavity inside of ECR. The Ar gas intruded into a cavity and created the discharged ion beam. The surface of target material was etched by the ion beam having an acceleration voltage of 1000 V. The formed devices with a width of $1{\mu}m{\sim}9{\mu}m$ on the GMR-SV (Giant magnetoresistance-spin valve) multilayer after three major processes such as photo lithography, ion milling, and electrode fabrication were observed by the optical microscope.

Purpose : The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of applying occupational therapy that uses motion recognition on the physical self-efficacy, visual-motor integration ability, and play skills of children who have neurodevelopmental disorder before and after treatment. Methods : This The study chose 16 children with neurodevelopmental disorder as research subjects who were randomly and evenly allocated into an experimental group and a control group. The experiment followed a pretest-posttest design. As an intervention, the experimental group received motion recognition-based occupational therapy and a separate sensory integration program. The control group only participated in the separate sensory integration program. The eight-week experiment duration included 24 intervention sessions where the a 50-minute session was implemented three times a week for eight weeks. To compare the physical self-efficacy, visual-motor integration ability, and play skills before and after the intervention, measurement tools including the Physical self efficacy, Beery VMI-6, and Penn interactive peer play scale were used. All measured variables were analyzed and expressed as mean, standard deviation and percentage. Results : The motion recognition-based occupational therapy demonstrated a significant effect on improving the physical self-efficacy, visual-motor integration ability, and play skills of the experimental group. The intervention also caused a significant difference between the experimental group and control group in terms of the physical self-efficacy, visual-motor integration ability, and play skills. Conclusion : We confirmed the possibility motion recognition-based occupational therapy could be effective in improving the physical self-efficacy, visual-motor integration ability, and play skills for patients who have neurodevelopmental disorder. Based on the study result, further future studies are expected based on this study result that prove the application effect of the motion recognition-based occupational therapy using disabled and non- disabled children as subjects are expected in the future.
