This study investigated children's friendship factors such as number of friends, friendship quality, and friends' characteristics as a function of children's sociometric status. The concordance between children's and their friends'perceptions of friendship quality was examined. Subjects were fifth grade students recruited from two public schools. The peer nomination index assessed peer rejection and acceptance. Positive and negative nominations as well as social preference identified children into rejected and popular groups. Children who nominated each other on their list of friends were considered mutual friends. Children reported the quality of their friendships using the friendship quality scale. The results showed that rejected children had fewer mutual friends compared to popular children. Rejected children as well as their friends perceived their friendships less positively. Moreover, rejected children's perception showed lower correlations with their friends'perceptions than popular children's perceptions. Furthermore, rejected children were similar with friends in respect to peer rejection level. It was concluded that rejected children's problems in their peer group and dyadic friendships may mutually influence each other. The findings from this study highlight the need for future research on friendship quality and psychosocial adjustment for rejected children.

Contrastively, control group had no application of the program. The results of this study are as follows : Compared to control group, experimental group that participated in the Peer-Praise Activity program showed significant improvement(p<.05) in Peer-Relationship and Class Cohesiveness. This study examines antecedent factors that influence subsidiaries' MNC (multinational corporation) knowledge adoption. I argue that subsidiary local environmental factors(local embeddedness, level of local competition), subsidiary organizational factors(parent investment, subsidiary CEO expatriation, scope of subsidiary value chain), and subsidiary relational factors(subsidiary autonomy, the strength of subsidiary in MNC, social capital) are the important enablers for subsidiaries to adopt knowledge from other MNC units. Especially, I use two data set (knowledge from (1) peer subsidiaries, (2) parent company) to estimate the effect of the factors. The results indicate that subsidiary local embeddedness and scope of subsidiary value chain negatively influence on subsidiary knowledge adoption from peer subsidiaries. Conversely, the strength of subsidiary in MNC and social capital positively influence on that. Subsidiary knowledge adoption from parent company is positively influenced by parent investment and social capital.

The purpose of this study was to investigate variables which have an influence on young children's peer interactions. The data of 966 4-year-old children and their parents and class teachers were extracted from the 5th Panel Study on Korean Children in 2012 by Korea Institute of Child Care and Education. The data were analyzed by means of ANOVA, Pearson's coefficient and multiple regression. The results were as follows: First, boys' play disruption and play disconnection were higher than girls', and girls' play interaction was higher than boys'. Second, sociability and activity of temperament, and teacher-child interaction were related to peer disruption. Third, teacher-child interaction and sociability of temperament significantly affected play interaction. Controlling parenting behavior of the mother was positively related to peer interaction in girls. Fourth, teacher-child interaction, sociability and emotionality of temperament significantly affected play disconnection. Social parenting behavior of the father was negatively related to play disconnection in boys. Lastly, teacher-child interaction was the clearest indicator for young children' peer interactions. These findings suggested a potential role of the teacher in young children's peer interactions.
This study investigates the effects of over-parenting behavior and peer-alienation on adolescents' school adjustment and explores the mediating effects of smartphone dependency on the above relations. The subjects were 1,882 first grade students in middle school selected from the 7th year data of the 2010 Korea Children and Youth Panel Survey (2010 KCYPS). Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, structural equational models, and Sobel test with SPSS 21.0 and Amos 18.0. The findings were as follows. First, there was no significant difference in the school adjustment according to gender. However, boys were higher in the perception of over-parenting behavior and peer-alienation, and girls were higher in smartphone dependency. Second, peer-alienation and smartphone dependency had negative impacts on the school adjustment. But over-parenting behavior had no significant effect on school adjustment. Third, smartphone dependency played a mediator role between over-parenting behavior and peer-alienation as well as the school adjustment. Fourth, there were no significant differences between boys and girls in the relations among over-parenting behavior, peer-alienation, smartphone dependency and school adjustment. But there was a slight difference in influence. The findings of this study suggest that interventions on how to use smartphone correctly are important for improving adolescents' school adjustment. In addition, gender differences in school adjustment should be considered for a better understanding.
This study examined the moderating effects of gender on the influences of parental parenting attitudes on peer attachment in early adolescents. Data analysis was conducted over 1,912 respondents who met the purpose of this study among Korean Youth Panel KCYPS 7th year data of 1st grade in elementary school. The research methods examined the influence of variables on dependent variable, with difference of gender influences. As a result, it was found that gender, the control variable, and overall grade satisfaction affected peer attachment. Second, positive and negative parenting attitudes have confirmed positive and negative effects on peer attachment. Third, moderating effect was confirmed as parenting attitudes by gender show the difference of impact on peer attachment. Therefore, this study suggest to apply it to practical and theoretical implications and basic data for the program development to improve youth peer relations.

From the result of the analysis, the level of verbal violence came out to be a relatively high form of peer victimization. The hierarchical regression were conducted in two steps. The second model's descriptive variable was higher by 19.6% than the first model.
