기울기 히스토그램 및 폐색 탐지를 통한 다중 보행자 추적 (Multiple Pedestrians Tracking using Histogram of Oriented Gradient and Occlusion Detection)

  • 본 논문에서는 지능형 감시 시스템에 부합하는 기울기 히스토그램 및 폐색 추적을 통한 다중보행자 추적 시스템을 제안한다. 먼저, 연속 영상에서 보행자의 특징을 이용하여 보행자를 검출한다. 보행자의 특징을 획득하기 위해 HOG(Histogram of Oriented Gradient)를 기반으로 기울기의 방향성을 이용한 블록별 히스토그램을 생성하고, Linear-SVM(Support Vector Machine)의 학습을 통해 보행자만을 분류한다. 다음으로 보행자의 위치정보를 이용하여 추적을 행한다. 마지막으로 추적이 끝날 경우 내용기반 검색이 가능한 움직임 궤적 디스크립터를 생성한다. 실험을 통해 제안한 방법이 기존 방법보다 빠르고 정확한 움직임 추적에 효과적임을 증명하였다.

서울시 터널 내 방음벽 설치가 입자상 물질 농도 및 소음 수준에 미치는 영향 (Impact of Soundproofing Wall of Tunnel on Particulate Matter and Noise)

  • The Seoul metropolitan government has installed soundproofing walls in road tunnels to improve the tunnel environment for pedestrians. To evaluate the efficiency of these soundproofing walls, we measured noise levels and concentrations of $PM_{2.5}$ and ultrafine particles (UFP) in tunnels with or without these walls. Although noise and UFP levels were significantly lower in the tunnels with soundproofing walls, $PM_{2.5}$ levels were significantly higher: but were significantly lowered by use of a ventilation system. When $PM_{2.5}$ and noise levels were simultaneously measured in a tunnel with soundproofing wall, noise level was significantly reduced but $PM_{2.5}$ level was significantly higher. It is concluded that the soundproofing wall can protect pedestrians from noise, but not PM. Installation of a ventilation system is recommended for protection of pedestrians in tunnels with soundproofing walls.

동시 통과 보행 인원 계수를 위한 압전매트 기반 인원 계수 시스템 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of People Counting System Based Piezoelectric Mat for Simultaneous Passing Pedestrian Counting)

  • 인원을 계수하기 위한 시스템은 기존에 다양한 방법으로 이루어지고 있다. 기존 시스템의 계수방식으로는 적외선 센서, 레이저, 카메라 등이 있는데 이러한 기존 시스템의 경우에는 천장, 벽의 측면 등과 같이 공간에 대한 제약이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 다수의 압전소자가 포함된 압전매트를 이용하여 보행자의 발걸음을 검출하고 압전매트에서 수집된 데이터를 활용하여 동시에 통과하는 보행 인원을 계수하는 방법을 제시한다. 보행자가 압전매트 위를 지나갈 경우, 수집한 센서 데이터를 SPI 통신을 이용하여 종합하고 TCP/IP 통신을 이용해 PC서버로 전송하는 방식의 통신시스템을 이용하였다. 성능분석 결과, 약 600개가량의 발걸음 데이터에서 99% 정도의 정확도로 인식하는 결과를 얻었다. 이를 통해 다른 인원 계수 시스템의 단점을 극복하고자 한다.

  • The majority of pedestrian fatalities and injuries are caused by vehicle-pedestrian accidents. Recently, it has been recognized as a serious problem. Injuries of occupants in a vehicle have been decreased considerably. However, efforts for protection of pedestrians are still insufficient. These days, many advanced industries are striving for a better protection of pedestrians by using an active hood lift system, rather than reforming the existing structure. In this research, the active hood lift system is designed to enhance the performance for protection. The active hood lift system is analyzed by using the nonlinear finite element method. An optimization problem is formulated by incorporation of the analysis results. Orthogonal arrays are utilized to solve the formulated problem. An iterative optimization algothrithm using orthogonal arrays is utilized for design in the discrete space. It is found that the method can remarkably decrease the number of function evaluations.

보행자 안전을 위한 차량정보안내시스템 도입에 따른 통행속도 변화에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis on the Effect of Vehicle Speed Change on the Vehicle Information Guide System for Pedestrian Safety)

  • 본 연구는 운전자에게 차량속도와 횡단보도 인근 보행자 존재 유무에 대한 정보를 제공하는 차량정보안내시스템의 설치 전·후에 대한 효과평가를 수행했다. 시나리오는 운전자에게 정보를 제공하지 않는 경우(S1), 차량주행속도만 제공하였을 경우(S2), 횡단보도에 보행자의 존재 유무와 차량주행속도를 모두 제공하였을 경우(S3) 등 3가지로 구성했다. 조사결과 시나리오 S1보다 운전자에게 정보를 제공하는 S2, S3에서 차량의 속도감속률이 약 0.4~0.7km 큰 것으로 나타났다. 또한 시나리오 S3에서 횡단보도 인근에 보행자가 있는 경우에 없는 경우보다 속도 감속률이 0.2km 높아 차량 속도를 더 줄이는 것으로 나타났다. 통계분석 결과에서도 시나리오 3개에 대한 평균 차량의 속도감속률에 차이가 있는 것으로 분석됐고, 보행자가 있는 경우 속도 감속률이 큰 것으로 나타났다.

  • In the development of means of transportation, human beings who walk, ride or ride carriages are now enjoying the benefits of many means of transportation, including bicycles, airplanes, trains, buses, and cars. In the case of automobiles among various means of transportation, there is an advantage that an individual can conveniently move while possessing it. To solve air polution problems at the same time, eco-friendly automobiles such as low-noise, low-pollution, and high-efficiency automobiles have emerged. However, in the case of eco-friendly vehicleJ, engine noise at low speeds is a noise that is unlike existing vehicles and poses a threat to the safety of pedestrians. In this study, virtual engine system has been developed to prevent engine accidents caused by low- The pedestrians are aware of the fact that the vehicle is approaching.

  • This paper proposes a pedestrian counting system using line laser. By using a line laser and IR filter, the shapes of pedestrians are easily obtained without complex preprocessing. Also, the directions of pedestrians were able to distinguish by employing gradient information. In the experiment, the proposed method successfully counted the number of people with accuracy of about 97% and with processing time of 24ms per frame.

  • In this paper, a pendulum system is constructed to perform the fundamental research which is concentrated on the various frequency pattern of impact-object simulation tests. Because to reduce injuries of pedestrians, and to satisfy the criterions of the EECV and Euro-NCAP. We analyze the frequency responses to recognize the impact objects. This study will be the basic data to development the smart bumper to protect the pedestrians.

  • Numerical analysis has been conducted to simulate pedestrian flow in the model of two-storied subway station. Because almost all the subway stations are two or three storied structure, simulations are conducted for the passengers those who get off the train and pass the wicket. Passenger flow analysis is very important factor to design the station and also to manage the operation of subway system. In the subway station, pedestrians move to the horizontal directions as well as vertical ones. Therefore, to consider the movement of pedestrians is necessary for the guarantee of safety and conveniency. As the up and down floors are connected with step, escalator and elevator, the entire movements in the multi-storied station should be simulated as like a 3-dimensional flow. Numerical schemes for the directional sweeping are developed to prevent the dependency on physical structure of station and to determine primary direction and secondary one. By using the developed program, we compared the simulation results of the effects of the location and size of exit and elapsed time.

  • There are a number of reported papers about detection and tracking of pedestrian for urban design. While related studies have not dealt with various environmental situations, this paper proposes a pedestrian counting system using pedestrian pattern for overcoming technical limitations. The Pedestrian Algorithm uses four steps to count the number of pedestrians for analyzing the pedestrian pattern according to the characteristics of the foot patterns of pedestrians.
