  • This study was to identify factors influencing the job-related burnout of the nurses and caregivers in nursing homes. The participants in this study were 188 who were working as nurses (77) and caregivers (111) at five nursing homes in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. Collected data were analyzed in independent t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, multiple stepwise regression using IBM SPSS Statistics 19.0. The nurse's job-related burnout was positively correlated with job-satisfaction(r=.333, p=.003), and stress(r=.484, p<.001), whereas caregiver's job-related burnout was positively correlated with stress(r=.458, p<.001). The factor influencing on nurse's job-related burnout was interpersonal relation stress and this factors explained 27.0% of the variance. In case of the caregivers, work-related stress was a factor influencing on job-related burnout and it explained 21.2% of the variance. On the basis of the results in this study, the improvement of working conditions, and the development of stress management program should be considered systematically.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of Mother's anger and depression on young children's problem behaviors. Data collection was from May 1, to July 1, 2019, and 244 Mother's entrusted infants and young children to three early childhood education institutions in Daejeon, Busan and Ulasn. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple liner regression analysis using SPSS/WIN 24.0. The results of this study showed that the young children's problem behavior had a statistically significant positive correlation with Mother's anger(r=.261, p=<.001), and depression(r=.435, p<.001). The multiple regression analysis showed that the factors that significantly affect the young children's problem behavior were depression(𝛽=16.57, p<.001) of the Mother's and the total explanatory power was 19.2%. Therefore, it provided implication for the need to develop parent education program to support the reduction of depression factors along with the emotional support Mother's.

  • Purpose: It has been suggested that approximately 40% of women between 40 and 64 years of age cease their sexual activity. The aim of this study was to establish the basic data for FSD(female sexual dysfunction) and FSD-related factors in regional urban and rural areas of Korea. Method: Three hundred twenty five women over 20 years of age and resident in regional urban and rural areas were analyzed by a visit survey with an organized questionnaire. The female sexual function index(FSFI) for measurement of sexual dysfunction was used. The significance between the degree of sexual dysfunction and characteristics of the participants was analyzed by a t-test and ANOVA test. The relationship between the degree of sexual dysfunction and related factors was analyzed by Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results: All analyzing tools including the FSFI had a high validity for measuring. The FSFI in Korean women was $19.97{\pm}4.87$ and ranged from 2 to 29. Old age, menopause, medication, no contraception usage and longer marital duration were significantly related with a lower FSFI score. Pearson's correlation coefficient revealed the significance in degrees of sexual distress (r=-.469, p=.000), sexual attitude(r=.305, p=.000) and a stressful life event(r= -.141, p=.038) with the sexual function index score. Conclusion: Women with sexual dysfunction should be evaluated for these sexual function-related factors in the history taking, and this data can be a basis for study for sexual dysfunction.

  • This is a descriptive correlation study to identify job stress, fatigue, and depression among ship-building supply workers. The subjects were 175 ship-building supply workers at one small & medium-sized ship-building supply company in K city. The data were collected from February 1st throughout 28th, 2013. The collected data were analyzed using the SAS program through mean, standard deviation, and Pearson's correlation coefficients. There was a positive correlation between job need and job insecurity of the job stress underlying factors and fatigue respectively (r=0.15, p<.05; r=0.17, p<.05). There was a negative correlation between organizational system factor and fatigue (r=-0.19, p<.05). Also there was a positive correlation between workplace culture factor and depression (r=0.15, p<.05). In conclusion, it could be needed for organizational managers to develop strategies for improving the workers' psychosocial workplace environment.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationships among job stress, resilience and turn over intention of new graduate nurses in general hospital. Methods: A descriptive regression design was used and the participants were 90 new graduate nurses from one general hospital in S city. Data analysis included t-test, ANOVA, pearson's correlation and multiple regression. Results: There were significant correlations between conflict with physicians(r=.17, p=.049), problem relating to supervisors(r=.18, p=.040), discrimination(r=.18, p=.041), resilience(r=-.21, p=.023) and turnover intention. The regression model explained approximately 24.5 % of turnover intention. Conclusion: The findings suggest that nursing leaders have to reduce job stress and to improve resilience of new graduate nurses.

  • The aim of this study was to identify how job stress, burnout and nursing organizational culture affect the turnover intention of nurses. The participants were 198 nurses from two general hospitals. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis, and stepwise multiple regression using the SPSS/PC 18.0 program. The turnover intention had a positive correlation with job stress (r=.59, p<.001), burnout (r=.64, p<.001), and a negative correlation with the nursing organizational culture (r= -34, p<.001). The predictors of the turnover intention were job demand, insufficient job control, interpersonal conflict, emotional exhaustion, and depersonalization. The results of the study can be used to develop a program for reducing nurses' turnover intention.

  • This study was conducted to identify factors affecting patient safety management (PSM) of nursing student's who have experienced clinical practice. The study subjects were 232 nursing students in five universities in five cities. Data were collected between June 17 and July 30, 2019 using by completing structured self report questionnaires. Data were analyzed using T-test, ANOV A, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression using SPSS/WIN 22.0. In correlation ana lysis, significant positive correlations were found between PSM practice, PSM importance awareness (r= .42, p<.001), PSM knowledge(r= .29, p<.001), and PSM attitude(r= .35, p<.001). In multiple regressi on analysis, PSM importance awareness(β=.19, p<.001) was factor predicting PSM practice of nursing students, which explained 36.2% of the variance in the model. Thus, we emphasize that continuing PSM education at the university is required to improve PSM competency.

  • This study identified the effect of menstrual attitude, life stress and clinical practice stress on premenstrual syndrome of nursing students. Data were analyzed with the SPSS 22.0 program using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient and simple linear regression. Premenstrual syndrome was significantly negative correlated with menstrual attitude (r=.28, p=.004), positive correlated with life stress (r=.31, p=.001) and clinical practice stress (r=.29, p=.003). The factors that influence premenstrual syndrome were regular exercise (β=.-.18, p=.006) and dysmenorrhea (β=.51, p=.000), which explained 38.0%.

  • The purpose of this study was to determine the factors for professional consciousness of caregivers and provide basic data that could help develop a intervention to promote their professional consciousness. For this descriptive research, a survey was conducted to collect data from 110 caregivers in G City for six weeks in September 2019. Descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression were used. They scored 3.41 for calling and 3.23 for Communication Competence and 4.12 for job satisfaction. Professional consciousness was positively correlated with job satisfaction (r=.636, p<.001) and calling (r=.356, p<.001) and Communication Competence (r=.378 p<.001). job satisfaction (B=.329, p<.001), followed by Communication Competence (B=.216, p<.001) and calling(B=.165, p=.002), had the strongest impact on professional consciousness, accounting for 57.5% in general. It is necessary to give job satisfaction reinforcement training constantly in long-term care givers. It is also necessary to conduct education and research that can promote professional consciousness.
