  • Changes in land uses at urbanizing areas are causing flooding, increase in NPS pollutants. Thus, Low Impact Development (LID) concept is now being employed in urban planning for sustainable development. Compared with the conventional BMPs, the LID is a new concept in urban planning to minimize the impacts of urbanization for site-specific LID IMPs. The objective of this study is to analyze the efficiency of LID adoption in study watershed in peak rate runoff and runoff volume reduction perspectives. The analysis revealed that the peak rate runoff and runoff volume decreased significantly with the LID adoption. This indicates that the Bimodal tram route with grass installed at the center of the road will contribute reduction in surface runoff and peak rate runoff, and also in NPS pollutant generation from the Bimodal tram route.

분포형 강우-유출모형의 하도자료 구축을 위한 하폭 및 하상경사 산정공식 개발 (Development of Stream Width and Bed-slope Estimation Equations for Preparing Data for Distributed Storm Runoff Model)

  • In this study, two estimation equations for preparing stream data for distributed storm runoff model were developed by analyzing the nonlinear relation between upstream flow-length and stream width, and between upstream flow-length and stream bed-slope. The equations for stream cell were tested in Chungjudam watershed (6,661 $km^2$) using KIMSTORM. Six storm events occurring between 2003 and 2008 were selected for the model calibration and verification before the test of equations. The average values of the Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiency (ME), the volume conservation index (VCI), the relative error of peak runoff rate (EQp), and the difference of time to peak runoff (DTp) were 0.929, 1.035, 0.037, and -0.406 hr for the calibrated four storm events and 0.956, 0.939, 0.055, and 0.729 hr for the two verified storm events respectively. The estimation equations were tested to the storm events, and compared the flood hydrograph. The test result showed that the estimation equation of stream width reduced the peak runoff and delaying the time to peak runoff, and the estimation equation of stream bed-slope showed the opposite results.

도시화에 따른 도시유역 배수계통의 유출영향분석에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Runoff Effect of Drainage System at Urban Watershed due to Urbanization)

  • The ILLUDAS and SWMM models were applied to the developing area of Dongsucheon for comparisons of the total runoff, peak discharge and travel time. For this purpose, the present and future urbanization rates were assumed 70% and 90%, respectively. The runoff analysis of two models has been performed based on 10, 20, 30 and 50 return periods and Huff's 4 quantiles for time distribution pattern of design rainfalls. As results, the total runoff based on Huff's pattern had an decreasing order of 1, 4, 3 and 2 quantiles for both models. The SWMM model showed that there were 4.3% increasing of the total runoff, 4.9% increasing of peak discharge, and 6.6% decreasing of travel time. Similarly, for ILLUDAS model, there were 7.3% and 9.2% increasing of total runoff and peak discharge, respectively and 9.1% decreasing of travel time.

유역형상에 따르는 이동강우의 유출영향분석(I) - 대칭유역형상 - (Runoff Analysis due to Moving Storms based on the Basin Shapes (I) - for the Symmetric Basin Shape -)

  • 유역형상의 변화에 따라서 이동강우가 유출에 미치는 영향을 운동파이론을 적용하여 분석하였으며, 유역형상은 신장형유역과 정사각형유역 및 장방형유역에 대하여 분석하였고, 이동강우 분포형은 균등분포형, 전진형, 지연형, 중앙집중형을 사용하였다. 이와 같은 형상의 유역에 대하여 다양한 이동속도를 가진 강우가 유역내 하천의 상류방향, 하류방향, 횡방향으로 이동할 때 강우분포형에 따르는 유출수문곡선을 모의하여 그 특성을 비교분석하였다. 유출수문곡선의 모양과 첨두시간, 첨두유량은 시간적, 공간적으로 변화하는 강우와 유역형상에 의하여 크게 영향을 받는다. 횡방향의 이동강우에서는 상류방향과 하류방향의 경우보다 더 큰 첨두유량이 발생하며, 하류방향 이동강우의 첨두유량은 상류방향의 첨두유량보다 더 크게 나타났다. 신장형유역의 경우 하류방향 이동강우의 첨두시간은 상류방향과 횡방향의 경우보다 더 지체되며, 수문곡선의 총유출량과 기저시간은 강우속도가 증가함에 따라 감소하였다.

유역의 도시화에 따른 유출변화특성 (Characteristics of Runoff Variation due to Watershed Urbanization)

  • 도시화에 따라 인구집중과 광역화로 인하여 자연환경이 크게 변화하였으며, 특히 인간의 활동은 새로운 유출양상을 가져오는 원인이 되었다. 본 연구에서는 도시의 개발에 따른 도시화 전$\cdot$후의 지형인자가 변화함으로써 야기되는 유출변화 특성을 해석하였다. 도시화유역에서의 유출에 ILLUDAS 모형을 이용하였으며, 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 도시화 전$\cdot$후의 첨두발생시간을 살펴보면, 약 15∼35 분 정도 단축되었으며, 도시화 후의 첨두홍수량은 최대 60 % 정도 증가함을 알 수 있었다.

SWMM을 이용한 춘천 거두 1지구의 LID 개념 적용으로 인한 유출 감소 특성 분석 (Analysis of Runoff Reduction with LID Adoption using the SWMM)

  • In recent years, increases in impervious areas with rapid urbanization and land use changes are causing numerous hydrologic and environmental problems. In this study Low Impact Development (LID) was applied to investigate changes in runoff and peak runoff with LID plans. SWMM 5.0 was used to simulate LID Integrated Management Practices (IMPs) at study area. The SWMM estimated total runoff volume with conventional land use planning is (82.3%, 46.44 mm), (99%, 73.16 mm) greater than total runoff before urbanization, while total runoff with LID is (11.1%, 46.44 mm), (49%, 73.16 mm) greater than those before urbanization. With the LID adoption in land use planning, pervious area increases by 49.8% compared with that from the conventional urban land use planning, resulting in (32.7%, 46.44 mm), (23.6%, 73.16 mm) decrease in total runoff, and (32.6%, 46.44 mm), (18.5%, 73.16 mm) decreases in peak rate runoff. The results obtained from this study indicate that peak rate runoff, time to peak, and total runoff can be reduced with the LID in urban land use planning because the LID secures pervious areas with various LID IMPs. The SWMM simulated result using design storm data and the US EPA suggested CN values for various LID IMPs implies that how environment-friendly urban land use planning with the LID adoption is important for sustainable development at urbanizing watershed.

RCP 기후변화 시나리오에 따른 우수 유출량 저감을 위한 저영향개발 시설의 적용 방안 (Application of LID to Reduce Storm Runoff according to the RCP Climate Change Scenarios)

  • 기후변화의 영향으로 집중호우가 증가하고 있으며, 이로 인한 침수피해가 매년 발생하고 있다. 본 연구는 저영향개발(LID) 시설의 우수 유출저감 효과를 분석하기 위하여, 용두빗물펌프장 유역을 대상으로, 미국 환경보호청(EPA)의 우수유출관리모형(SWMM)을 이용하여, 과거와 미래의 대표 강우사상에 대한 유출분석을 수행하였다. 그 결과 과거 강우사상과 비교하여 미래 대표 강우사상에 대한 침투량은 3.17 % 증가하였지만, 지표면 유출량 및 첨두유량은 각각 32.50 % 및 128.77 % 증가하였다. 이러한 지표면 유출량과 첨두유량의 증가를 감소시키기 위하여 투수성 포장, 옥상녹화 및 빗물정원을 선정하였다. 세 가지 LID 시설의 매개변수와 설치 면적 비율을 조정하여 LID 시설의 적용성을 평가하였다. 그 결과 첨두유량과 지표 유출량을 감소시키고 침투량과 저류량를 증가시키는 투수성 포장, 옥상 정원 그리고 빗물 정원의 적정 매개변수를 찾을 수 있었다. 또한 투수성 포장, 옥상녹화, 빗물정원의 적용 비율이 2:1:3일 때, 첨두유량 26.85 %, 침투량 12.10 %, 지표면 유출량 15.11 %, 저류량 509.47 %의 저감효과가 나타났다. 재현기간별 우수 유출저감 효과를 분석한 결과, 재현기간이 증가할수록 첨두유량과 지표면 유출량의 비중은 늘어나고 침투량과 저류량의 비중은 줄어드는 것으로 나타났다.

레인가든이 지하유출 및 첨두유량 감소에 미치는 효과 (Effects of Rain Garden on Reduction of Subsurface Runoff and Peak Flow)

  • This study assessed the subsurface runoff and peak flow reduction in rain gardens. The results showed that the highest water retention was found in rain garden mesocosms in which Rhododendron lateritium and Zoysia japonica were planted, followed by mesocosms in which either R. lateritium or Z. japonica was planted, and the lowest water retention rate was found in non-vegetated control treatment mesocosms(${\alpha}$ < 0.05). Although higher rainfall intensity caused a decrease of peak flow reduction in both vegetated and non-vegetated treatments, peak flow reduction was the greatest in mesocosms with mixed plants. A rain garden can be an effective tool for environment-friendly stormwater management and improving ecological functions in urban areas. Depending on the purpose such as delaying runoff or increasing infiltration, various plant types should be considered for rain garden designing.

논의 유출특성을 고려한 소유역의 홍수유출변화추정 (Estimating the Variation of Peak Flow Considering the Runoff Characteristics in Paddies From Small Agricultural Watersheds.)

  • A modified SCS TR-20 model that may be applied to a watershed having rice paddies as a land use type, was formulated and applied to a gauaged watershed. The model was applied to the Balan watershed of 26$\textrm{km}^2$ in size for estimation strorm hydrographs . And the simulation results from the model were also compared with thoses from the SCS model. The results showed that paddy fields play an important role to reduce peak runoff. When fractions of paddies are left to fallow conditions or when rice crop is replaced by other, the peak runoff was found to increase up to 10 to 20 percentg . The reduction rates in peak runoff appear to become greater for heavier storms or higher antecedent moisture conditions.

홍수 유출 수문곡선 산출에 단위유량도 적용 오차의 정도 검토 (Review on Application Tolerance of Unit Hydrograph for Calculating Flood Runoff Hydrograph)

  • In this study several unit hydrographs by rainfall storms are derived and moving averaged unit hydrograph is extracted from them based on the rainfall-runoff data in a small basin 8.5 $km^2$ wide. And peak discharges and peak times of the unit hydrographs are investigated and reviewed. And then a representative unit hydrograph of the moving averaged one is applied to the linear convolution integration for obtaining the flood discharge hydrograph and peak discharge and time of its result are researched and inspected. Variance in application of the representative unit hydrograph in a basin on assumption of linearity is appeared and this is given as a counterevidence about that the runoff response from rainfall on a basin has nonlinear characteristics. And As a result of application of derived representative unit hydrograph the errors in peak discharge and time are investigated.
