In test bed, zone is presented by bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom. And individual load is presented by lighting, heater and fan in zone. In developed scheme, zone control is implemented by single PLC modem. And individual load control is implemented by key-map table. In addition, power peak-cut control system S/W, which can perform setting of power peak, power peak-cut control and monitoring of power usage.
This paper presents an industrial peak load management system for the peak demand control. Kohonen neural network and wavelet transform based techniques are adopted for industrial peak load forecasting that will be used as input data of the peak demand control. Firstly, one year of historical load data of a steel company were sorted and clustered into several groups using Kohonen neural network and then wavelet transforms are applied with Biorthogonal 1.3 mother wavelet in order to forecast the peak load of one minute ahead. In addition, for the peak demand control, composite fuzzy model is proposed and implemented in this work. The results are compared with those of conventional model, fuzzy model and composite model, respectively. The outcome of the study clearly indicates that the composite fuzzy model approach can be used as an attractive and effective means of the peak demand control.
This article describes a robust control method by using peak control of a sensitivity function in the state-feedback control systems. This method apparently reduces the peak, and as a result makes closed loop systems more stable. The designed closed loop systems also make the response to an external step disturbance more fast with a lower undershoot. At the conclusion, it is verified that the proposed method enhances robust stability and robust performance to parametric uncertainties through $\mu$-plot.
In this paper, we consider the problem of robust peak-to-peak controller design of linear system. The goal is to design a controller which minimizes the maximum peak value of the measured output subjects to the peak bounded disturbance. The control is obtained by checking the feasibility of the derived matrix inequalities. Finally, we shows the usefulness of our result comparing to $H_{\infty}$ and $H_{2}$ control by an example.
In ATM networks there are two methods in traffic control as schemes advancing the quality of service. One is reactive control after congestion and the other which is generally recommended, is preventive control before congestion, including connection admission control on call leel and usage parameter control, network parameter control, priority control and congestion control on cell level. In particular, usage parameter control is required for restricting the peak cell rate of bursy tracffic to the parameter negotiated at call set-up phase since the peak cell rate significantly influences the network quality of service. The scheme for progressing quality of service by usage parameter control is themethod using VSA(Virtual Scheduling Algorlithm) recommended ITU-T. The method using VSSA(Virtual Scheduling Suggested Algorlithm) in this paper is suggested by considering cell delay variation and token rate of leaky bucket, compared VSA and VSANT(Virtual Scheduling Algolithm with No Tolerance) with VSSA which polices violated cell probability of conformed peak cell rate and intentionally excessive peak cell rate. VSSA method using IPP(Interruped Poisson Process) model of input traffic source showed more quality of service than VSA and VSANT methods as usage parameter control because the suggested method reduced the violated cell probability of contformed peak cell rate and intentionally excessive peak cell rate.
Recently current mode control is widely adopted in switching power converter because of inherent stablity and ability of parallel operating. There are several ways in current mode control. One of them, peak current control is chiefly employed. Peak current mode control converter usually senses and controls peak inductor current. But there is peak-to-average current errors. Therefore peak current control needs compensation ramp correcting the errors. Average current mode control eliminates these problems, and is constructed by simple structures. This paper will describe the behavior of a simple average current mode boost converter and introduce the design techniques.
Digital current control techniques are an attractive option for DC-DC converters. In this paper, a digital predictive peak current control algorithm is presented for buck converters that allows the inductor current to track the reference current in two switching cycles. This control algorithm predicts the inductor current in a future period by sampling the input voltage, output voltage and inductor current of the current period, which overcomes the problem of hardware periodic delay. Under the premise of ensuring the stability of the system, the response speed is greatly improved. A real-time parameter identification method is also proposed to obtain the precision coefficient of the control algorithm when the inductance is changed. The combination of the two algorithms achieves adaptive tracking of the peak inductor current. The performance of the proposed algorithms is verified using simulations and experimental results. In addition, its performance is compared with that of a conventional proportional-integral (PI) algorithm.
Purpose: This study examined the dynamic peak plantar pressure under the foot areas in those with a functional leg length inequality. Methods: The dynamic peak plantar pressure under the foot areas in an experimental group with a functional leg length inequality (n=20) and a control group (n=20) was assessed a using the Mat-Scan system (Tekscan, USA). The peak plantar pressure under the hallux, 1st, 2nd, 3-4th and 5th metatarsal head (MTH), mid foot, and heel was measured while the subject was walking on the Mat-Scan system. Results: The experimental group had significantly higher peak plantar pressure under all foot areas when the dynamic peak plantar pressure in the short leg and long leg sides was compared. The control group had a significantly higher peak plantar pressure under the 1st, 2nd, 3-4th, and 5th MTH when the dynamic peak plantar pressure in the short leg and long leg sides were compared. The experimental group showed a significantly larger difference in the dynamic peak plantar pressure under the hallux, 1st, 2nd, 3-4th and 5th MTH, mid foot and heel than the control group. Conclusion: A functional leg length inequality leads to an increase in the weight distribution and dynamic peak plantar pressure in the side of the short leg.
In this paper, digital peak current mode control for single phase H-bridge inverters is developed and implemented. The digital peak current mode control is achieved by directly controlling the PWM signals by cycle-by-cycle current limitation. Unlike the DC-DC converter where the output voltage always remains in the positive region, the output of DC-AC inverter flips from positive to negative region continuously. Therefore, when the inverter operates in negative region, the control should be changed to valley current mode control. Thus, a novel control logic circuit is required for the function and need to be analyzed for the hardware to track the sinusoidal reference in both regions. The problem of sub-harmonic instability which is inherent with peak current mode control is also addressed, and then proposes the digital slope compensation in constant-sloped external ramp to suppress the oscillation. For unipolar PWM switching method, an adaptive slope compensation in digital manner is also proposed. In this paper, the operating principles and design guidelines of the proposed scheme are presented, along with the performance analysis and numerical simulation. Also, a 200W inverter hardware prototype has been implemented for experimental verification of the proposed controller scheme.
The mathematical interpretation of a practical sampler which is useful to obtain the small signal models for the peak and average current mode controls is proposed. Due to the difficulties in applying the Shannons sampling theorem to the analysis of sampling effects embedded in the current mode control, several different approaches have been reported. However, these approaches require the information of the inductor current in a discrete expression, which restricts the application of the reported method only to the peak current mode control. In this paper, the mathematical expressions of sampling effects on a current loop which can directly apply the Shannons sampling theorem are newly proposed, and applied to the modeling of the peak current mode control. By the newly derived models of a practial smapler, the models in a discrete time domain and a continuous time domain are obtained. It is expected that the derived models are useful for the control loop design of power supplies. The effectiveness of the derived models are verified through the simulation and experimental results.
