In this paper, a half-wavelength folded-slot antenna, which can be applied to RF module for 3G mobile communications by which security lights are monitored and controlled, is proposed. The proposed antenna can be regarded as modified folded-slot structure which has the size reduced to a half of conventional ${\lambda}g$ folded-slot antenna and can be placed at the ground plane edge. In spite of that, the proposed antenna still maintain the advantage of conventional folded-slot antenna that input impedance is close to $50{\Omega}$. The antenna is designed and fabricated within the upper space of $40.5{\times}10mm^2$ on $40.5{\times}62mm^2$ substrate for 3G mobile communication frequency band. The measured impedance bandwidth and antenna gain are 390 MHz and 2 dBi respectively.

A single-shot dual-energy x-ray imaging technique has been developed using a sandwich detector by stacking two detectors, in which the front and rear detectors respectively produce relatively lower and higher x-ray energy images. Each detector layer is composed of a phosphor screen coupled with a photodiode array. The front detector layer employs a thinner phosphor screen, whereas the rear detector layer employs a thicker phosphor screen considering the quantum efficiency for x-ray photons with higher energies. We have applied the proposed method into the inspection of printed circuit boards, and obtained dual-energy images with background clutter suppressed. In addition, the single-shot dual-energy method provides sharper-edge images than the conventional radiography because of the unsharp masking effect resulting from the use of different thickness phosphors between the two detector layers. It is promising to use the single-shot dual-energy x-ray imaging for high-resolution nondestructive testing. For the reliable use of the developed method, however, more quantitative analysis is further required in comparisons with the conventional method for various types of printed circuit boards.

Objectives: The purpose of this study was to investigate types and characteristics of chemical substances used in LCD(Liquid crystal display) panel manufacturing process. Methods: The LCD panel manufacturing process is divided into the fabrication(fab) process and module process. The use of chemical substances by process was investigated at four fab processes and two module processes at two domestic TFT-LCD(Thin film transistor-Liquid crystal display) panel manufacturing sites. Results: LCD panels are manufactured through various unit processes such as sputtering, chemical vapor deposition(CVD), etching, and photolithography, and a range of chemicals are used in each process. Metal target materials including copper, aluminum, and indium tin oxide are used in the sputtering process, and gaseous materials such as phosphine, silane, and chlorine are used in CVD and dry etching processes. Inorganic acids such as hydrofluoric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid are used in wet etching process, and photoresist and developer are used in photolithography process. Chemical substances for the alignment of liquid crystal, such as polyimides, liquid crystals, and sealants are used in a liquid crystal process. Adhesives and hardeners for adhesion of driver IC and printed circuit board(PCB) to the LCD panel are used in the module process. Conclusions: LCD panels are produced through dozens of unit processes using various types of chemical substances in clean room facilities. Hazardous substances such as organic solvents, reactive gases, irritants, and toxic substances are used in the manufacturing processes, but periodic workplace monitoring applies only to certain chemical substances by law. Therefore, efforts should be made to minimize worker exposure to chemical substances used in LCD panel manufacturing process.

Soldering technology has been used in electronic industry for a long time. However, due to solder fatigue characteristics, automotive electronics are searching the semi-permanent interconnection technology such as press-fit method. Press fit interconnection is a joining technology that mechanically inserts a press fit metal terminal into a through hole in a board, and induces a strong bonding by closely contacting the inner surface joining of the through hole by plastic deformation of press-fit terminal. In this paper, the bonding properties of press-fit interconnection are investigated with PCB hole size and surface finishes. In order to compare interconnection reliability between the press fit and soldering, the change in resistance of the press-fit and soldering joints was observed during thermal shock test. After thermal cycling, the failure modes are investigated to reveal the degradation mechanism both press-fit and soldering technology.

Wave drag reduction due to the repetitive laser induced energy deposition over a flat-nosed cylinder is experimentally conducted in this study. Irradiated laser pulses are focused by a convex lens installed in side of the in-draft wind tunnel of Mach 1.94. The maximum frequency of the energy deposition is limited up to 80. Time-averaged drag force is measured using a low friction piston which was backed by a load cell in a cavity as a controlled pressure. Stagnation pressure history, which is measured at the nose of the model, is synchronized with corresponding sequential schlieren images. With cylinder model, amount of drag reduction is linearly increased with input laser power. The power gain only depends upon the pulse energy. A drag reduction about 21% which corresponds to power gain of energy deposition of approximately 10 was obtained.
Nowadays, mankind is suffering from serious pollutions. In proportion to industrial modernization, polltional problems have been increased and arised new one endlessly. Todays, we are cope with a newkind pollution materials threatening the life of mankind with root out. It is Environmental Hormon, that is, Endocrine Disrupting Chemical(EDs). EDs was made by dioxin, PCB, DDT, cadmium, lead, ether and even diethylstillbestrol(DES) that used to contraceptive pill etc. These EDs makes changing from normal human hormon to abnormal one and it kill off or fade out spermatozoa. Then the spermatozoa was infected with EDs makes man imposex, sexual malformations and infertility also. It is the more critical phenomenons that EDs invade into the field of wild-life; birds, invertebrate animals, fishes, mammalia especially. England TV(BBC) journalist Cadury, D. introduced a lot of case studies that many kind of male animals was changed feminization by EDs in her book (The Feminization of Nature;1997). Otherwise, Gibbs, P.E. and Bryan, G. W. reported about dog-whelk snail (a sort of sea shell) was changed gender from male to female by EDs in their study. Briefly speaking, Environmental Hormon (EDs) stem from polluted materials maloperate human and animal informational codes of hormon. It is a significant event to an individual ontogeny and ecological system. To overcome these problem WHO, OECD, UNEP held many work-shops, international seminars and researches but it is not enough yet. On May of 1997, the International Meeting of Environmental Administrators makes a $\ulcorner$Declaration on EDs Problems$\lrcorner$ for solving it fortunately and NHK(japan) reported Super Critical Fluid as a new materials for decrease toxicity of dioxin in recent. Key Words : Environmental Hormon, EDs, imposex feminization, gender, DES, spermatozoa. Super Critical Fluid.

The gantry is a device that moves fine chips from the feeder to the PCB. While the gantry is moving the part, the camera checks the condition of the part. The purpose of this paper is to find the path with the shortest travel time of the gantry and calculate the travel time according to the path. stop_motion is a way to check the status of the parts currently in use. This paper presents the moving_motion method and the fly_motion method with maximum speed in front of the camera. In addition the signature method was used to inspect the condition of the parts. When comparing the moving time of the three types of gantry, the moving_motion method improved by 9.42% and the fly_motion method by 17.73% compared to stop_motion. When the fly_motion method proposed in this paper is used for the gantry movement path, it is expected that productivity will be improved.
The CanSat was designed as an educational satellite simulation program that implements the overall system of the satellite such as the command processing unit, the communication unit, and the power unit in a structure of the size of a can. In particular, the training effect is very excellent because the trainee can learn a process similar to the actual satellite development process by designing, manufacturing, testing, and launching. Republic of Korea Air Force Academy has been using the CanSat production kit used by the domestic can satellite contest experience department for education, but since it was produced based on PCB, it was impossible to show creativity and operation was restricted even with small mistakes. In this paper, we analyze the existing CanSat kit and propose a new educational CanSat kit that can be used in creative engineering design and practice subjects that will be reorganized into a regular course from 2021, and a lesson plan. In conclusion, by using the proposed CanSat kit for lectures, it is possible to achieve educational purposes and effects, improve lecture satisfaction, and provide stable instruction.

Bonding properties of epoxy-containing solder joints were investigated by a high temperature aging test. Specimens were prepared by bonding an R3216 standard chip resistor to an OSP-finished PCB by a reflow process with two basic types of solder (SAC305 & Sn58Bi) pastes and two epoxy-solder (SAC305+epoxy & Sn58Bi+epoxy) pastes. In all epoxy solder joints, an epoxy fillet was formed in the hardened epoxy, lying around the outer edge of the solder joint, between the chip and the Cu pad. In order to analyze the bonding characteristics of solder joints at high temperatures, a high-temperature aging test at $150^{\circ}C$ was carried out for 14 days (336 h). After aging, the intermetallic compound $Cu_6Sn_5$ was found to have formed in the solder joint on the Cu pad, and the shear stress on the conventional solder joint was reduced by a significant amount. The reason that the shear force did not decrease much, even though in epoxy solder, was thatbecause epoxy hardened at the outer edge of the supported solder joints. Using epoxy solder, strong bonding behavior can be ensured due to this resistance to shear force, even in metallurgical changes such as those where intermetallic compounds form at solder joints.
Refrigerator and heating cabinet fires due to the dielectric breakdown of electronic components caused by leaked beverages are being reported frequently. On the other hand, there has been little interest in measuring the electrical characteristics of beverages and studying the cause of fires. In this paper, the electrical conductivity and total dissolved solids (TDS) for 32 different beverages commonly sold in South Korea were measured to study the relationship between the electrical conductivity and dielectric breakdown. Out of these 32 beverages, based on the measurements, some characteristic beverages were selected and further dielectric breakdown tests were conducted. The results showed that the probability of a fire is higher for beverages with high electrical conductivity. Interestingly, beverages with low electrical conductivity had a high likelihood of fire depending on the type of beverage. Moreover, some conditions that cause spark ignition, which lead to fires in electronic components, were identified.
