EQM 통신방송위성 KA대역 탑재체 시스템의 EMC 시험을 통한 검증 (A Design Verification for the EQM CBS Ka-band Payload System by EMC Test)

  • 위성 탑재체의 자체개발 능력을 확보하기 위한 노력의 일환으로 탑재체의 전자파특성이 다른 시스템의 성능에 영향을 주는지와 다른 시스템에 의해 탑재체의 성능이 영향을 받는지를 확인하는 전자파환경시험을 통한 탑재체 시스템의 설계검증을 수행하였다. 기술인증모델(EQM) 통신방송위성(CBS) 탑재체를 대상으로 복사 및 전도 잡음의 분석과 측정을 통하여 시스템 규격의 만족 여부를 확인하였고, 외부 잡음성분에 의한 성능변화를 이론적인 방법과 측정을 통해 검증하여 탑재체의 감응도가 전체 성능에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 이러한 분석과 시험을 통해 우주환경에서 운용가능한 수준의 EMC 성능을 확인하고 도파관설계 및 조립방법의 개선을 통해 위성 탑재체의 신뢰성과 안전성을 극대화시킬 수 있다.

  • Acoustic loads generated by a rocket propulsion system cause severe random vibrations on payloads. In developing a new launch vehicle, a random vibration level must be specified before the detailed design of payloads or electronic equipments. This paper deals with prediction procedures of a random vibration level on payload section of KSLV-I. The prediction is based on statistical energy analysis. In order to verify the prediction methodology, test and analysis on a sub-scale payload section are performed. The predicted results subject to very high level of acoustic loads show a good agreement with the test results performed in the high intensity acoustic chamber. The predicted random vibration level on payload section of KSLV-I is also presented in this paper.

HDR-WPAN 시스템을 위한 주파수 옵셋 보상과 트래킹 알고리즘 성능분석 (Performance Analysis of Frequency Offset Compensation and Tracking Algorithms for HDR-WPAN System)

  • 본 논문에서는 HDR-WPAN 시스템에 적합한 주파수 옵셋 보상과 누적 위상오차를 개선할 수 있는 트래킹 알고리즘을 제안하고 이에 대해 분석하였다. 주파수 옵셋 보상 알고리즘은 CAZAC sequence의 자기상관 특성을 이용하여 각 심벌 내 샘플 간 위상오차를 통해 coarse 주파수 옵셋과 fine 주파수 옵셋을 추정하게 된다. 그러나 HDR-WPAN 시스템은 payload에 pilot 심벌이 없기 때문에 payload 길이가 길어질수록 샘플 간 미소 위상오차가 누적되어 수신단의 성상도가 회전하게 된다. 따라서 트래킹 알고리즘을 통해 틀어진 누적 위상오차를 보상해야 한다. 트래킹은 성상도내 들어온 신호가 일정 영역을 벗어나게 되면, 벗어난 만큼의 크기 ${\theta}$을 곱해 누적된 미소 위상오차를 보상하게 된다.

Design & Test of Stereo Camera Ground Model for Lunar Exploration

  • Space-born remote sensing camera systems tend to be developed to have very high performances. They are developed to provide extremely small ground sample distance, wide swath width, and good MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) at the expense of big volume, massive weight, and big power consumption. Therefore, the camera system occupies relatively big portion of the satellite bus from the point of mass and volume. However, the camera systems for lunar exploration don't need to have such high performances. Instead, it should be versatile for various usages under various operating environments. It should be light and small and should consume small power. In order to be used for national program of lunar exploration, electro-optical versatile camera system, called MAEPLE (Multi-Application Electro-Optical Payload for Lunar Exploration), has been designed after the derivation of camera system requirements. A ground model of the camera system has been manufactured to identify and secure relevant key technologies. The ground model was mounted on an aircraft and checked if the basic design concept would be valid and versatile functions implemented on the camera system would worked properly. In this paper, results of design and functional test performed with the field campaigns and air-born imaging are introduced.

위성중계기용 Ku-대역 증폭기의 온도보상회로 설계 (Design of Temperature-Compensation Circuits of Ku-band Amplifiers for Satellite Payload)

  • 본 논문에서는 위성중계기용 Ku-대역 증폭기에 사용되어질 수 있는 온도보상회로에 대하여 기술하였다. 위성중계기용 증폭기에서 요구하는 온도 규격과 다양한 온도보상 방식의 장단점을 살펴본 후 위성중계기용 증폭기에 적합한 온도보상회로로서 능동 바이어스 회로, 감쇄기를 이용한 온도보상회로, ALC Loop를 이용한 온도 보상회로를 선정하여 각자의 회로를 설계하였다. 각각의 온도보상회로는 설계 결과와 일치하는 실험 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 이러한 결과는 실제 Ku-대역 위성중계기용 능동부품인 채널증폭기, 저잡음 증폭기, 중간 주파수 증폭기 등에 사용되어졌으며, 설계 규격을 만족하는 결과를 얻을 수 있었다.

미지의 부하와 마찰을 갖는 컨테이너 크레인의 적응 가변구조제어 (Adaptive Variable Structure Control of Container Cranes with Unknown Payload and Friction)

  • This paper introduces an adaptive anti-sway tracking control algorithm for container cranes with unknown payloads and friction between the trolley and the rail. If the friction effects in the system can be modeled, there is an improved potential to design controllers that can cancel these effects. The proposed control improves the sway suppressing and the positioning capabilities of the trolley and hoisting against uncertain payload and friction. The variable structure controls are first designed based on a class of feedback linearization methods for the stabilization of the under-actuated sway dynamics. The adaptation mechanism are then designed with parameter estimation of unknown payload and friction compensation for the trolley and hoisting, based on Lyapunov stability methods for the accurate positioning and fast attenuation of trolley oscillation due to frictions in the vicinity of the target position. The asymptotic stability of the overall closed-loop system is assured irrespective of variations of rope length. Simulations are shown under various frictions and external winds in the case of no priori information of payload mass.

높은 유효하중 능력과 다양한 벽면전환 능력을 가진 다관절 등반로봇의 개발 및 추종제어 (Development and Tracking Control of a Multi-Link Climbing Robot with High Payload Capacity and Various Transition Abilities)

  • Payload capacity and transition ability are essential for climbing robots to apply the robots to various applications such as inspection and exploration. This paper presents a new climbing robotic platform with multi-link structure of track-wheel modules to enhance payload capacity and transition ability, and its tracking controller design and experimental results. The compliances between track-wheel modules achieve stable internal and external transitions while the large adhesion area of the track-wheel module enhances the payload capacity of the robot. Kinematic model-based tracking controller is designed and implemented for autonomous internal transition, and the gains of the controller are optimized by experimental design. Experiments on the automatic internal transitions are performed and the results guarantee autonomous internal transition with little tracking error.

유압 굴착기 실험을 통한 작업량 추정법 확인에 관한 연구 (A Study of a Hydraulic Excavator's Test to Verify of Payload Estimation by Bucket's Motion Equation)

  • It is important to measure the excavator's work productivity that estimates the bucket's payloads on a process. If the bucket isn't filled at every working cycle, the excavator's operator has to drive the machine more to achieve his work quota. If bucket is filled over with the load, the other way around, the transferred object has to spread out on the workplace. That causes additional work to clean the site. This paper proposes a method that can estimate the bucket's payload to improve the excavator's work productivity. This method assumes that the excavator is a lumped mass system. And it uses a 3 points angle (boom link, arm link, swing) and 2 points pressure (boom cylinder's input port and output port) of measurable data. Depending on assumptions, the bucket's payload can be calculated by the payload's motion equation. And this suggested method can be verified by simple experiments.

  • Hypersonic analysis on the KSR-III payload configuration has been performed using an axisymmetric Navier-Stokes code. A numerical code based on the Harten and Yee's upwind TVD scheme with simplified curve fits in the equilibrium chemically reacting air was developed. The carbuncle phenomenon on detached shock in front of the payload is controlled by using pressure gradients to tune the dissipation. Equilibrium chemically reacting computations for reentry flight conditions of Mach no. 10.2, 8, 4.9 are presented and compared with the results of calorically perfect gas.

  • Satellite payload on-board date compression unit are use for saving date storage space and reducing time to transmit payload data to the ground station. The KOMPSAT-3 payload will generate higher data rate than KOMPSAT-2 due to its better ground sample distance capacity. High input data rate and limited output transmission data rate might lead excessive compression and degraded image quality. This paper presents a trade-off study about data storage capacity and compression parameters for estimated KOMPSAT-3 system.
