The peer-to-peer (P2P) systems have Brown significantly over last few years due to their hish potential of sharing various resources. Super-peer based P2P systems have been found very effective by dividing the peers into two layers, SP (Super-Peer) and OP (Ordinary-Peer). In this paper, we present ISP2P (Intelligent Super-peer based P2P system), which allows us to choose the best SP. Through analyzing capacity and similarity between SP and OP, we can help OPs to select the most appropriate SP respectively. Proposed system can improve the performance of the average response time by superior SP, reduce the bandwidth cost by small path length due to content similarity and solve frequent SP replacement problem by considering similarity of user behavior.

A symbolic layout generator, called Flexible Module Generator (FMG), has been developed for transgorming a given CMOS circuit netlist into an optimized symbolic layout. Contrary to other conventional module generators which place transistors either in horizontal or in vertical direction, FMG places transittors in any hence can multiples of 90$^{\circ}$. This flexible layout style can maximize the diffusion sharing and hence can reduce the wire-length for both of area minimization and performance improvement. In FMG, transistors are initially randomly placed and then selected transistors are iteratively replaced using an optimization technique based on simulated evolution. Whenever a transistor is replaced, the affected nets are rerouted. Constraints on the shape, aspect ratio, and critical path delays are considered during the optimization process. Routing is performed by using a modified maze router on polysilicon, metal 1, and metal 2 interconnection layers. additional routing grids are added, if necessary, for complete routing. Unused rows or columns are removed after routing for area minimization. Experimental reasults show that FMG synthesizes satisfactory layouts.

Multicast technology allows the transmission of data from one source node to a selected group of destination nodes. Multicast routes typically use trees, called multicast routing trees, to minimize resource usage such as cost and bandwidth by sharing links. Moreover, the quality of service (QoS) is satisfied by distributing data along a path haying no more than a given number of arcs between the root node of a session and a terminal node of it in the routing tree. Thus, a multicast routing tree for a session can be represented as a hop constrained Steiner tree. In this paper, we consider the hop-constrained multicast route packing problem with bandwidth reservation. Given a set of multicast sessions, each of which has a hop limit constraint and a required bandwidth, the problem is to determine a set of multicast routing trees in an arc-capacitated network to minimize cost. We propose an integer programming formulation of the problem and an algorithm to solve it. An efficient column generation technique to solve the linear programming relaxation is proposed, and a modified cover inequality is used to strengthen the integer programming formulation.
This paper examined the leapfrogging of Korean Digital TV Industry in the midst of digital Revolution. Despite the lack of sufficient capability and core knowledge base, the Korean firms succeeded in the catching up forerunner firms in the Digital TV industry. The reasons of the success of Korean firms were as follows. Firstly, the Korean firms had some complementary asset, such as the experience of producing analog TV, and were able to develop the prototype digital TV given the accesses to the foreign knowledge via overseas R&D posts and acquisition of a foreign company. Secondly, the Korean firms were not locked in the analog technologies. As a follower, they had little sunk cost on the existing analog technologies. Thirdly, New mode of innovation, such as National R&D program for the development of HDTV and ASIC, were used as a tool for the mobilization of scarce knowledge base of digital technologies and the sharing the risks of development of path-breaking new technologies.
Cross-layer design is a concept, which captures the dependencies and interactions and enables information sharing among layers in order to improve the network performance and security. There are two key challenges in wireless networks, lossy features of links and power assumption of network nodes. Cross-layer design of congestion control and power allocation in wireless lossy networks has been studied in the existing literature; however, there has been no contribution proposed in the literature that exploits the path diversity. In this paper, we are motivated to develop a cross-layer design of congestion control and power allocation, which takes into account lossy features of wireless links and transmission powers of network nodes and can be implemented in a distributed manner. Numerical simulation is conducted to illustrate the performance of our proposed algorithm and the comparison with current alternative approaches.
Typical low-level image processing tasks require thousands of operations per pixel for each input image. Traditional general-purpose computers are not capable of performing such tasks in real time. Yet important features of traditional computers are not exploited by low-level image processing tasks. Since storage requirements are limited to a small number of low-precision integer values per pixel, large hierarchical memory systems are not necessary. The mismatch between the demands of low-level image processing tasks and the characteristics of conventional computers motivates investigation of alternative architectures. The structure of the tasks suggests employing an array of processing elements, one per pixel, sharing instructions issued by a single controller. In this paper we implemented various image processing filtering using the format converter. Also, we realized from conventional gray image process to color image process. This design method is based on realized the large processor-per-pixel array by integrated circuit technology This format converter design has control path implementation efficiently, and can be utilize the high technology without complicated controller hardware.
Magnetic path direction in the back-iron of a linear induction motor(LIM) is perpendicular to that of the lift-magnet of the MAGLEV which is recently developing in KOREA. In general the back-iron is isolated magnetically in conventional rail in order to eliminate the thrust dependency of the LIM on the lift force. However the magnetic isolation causes some increase in construction and management cost. So a unit-type rail system is considered, which the magnetic circuit of the back-iron is sharing that of the lift-magnet. In this paper 3-dimensional analysis for the lift-magnet is carried out using finite element method. As a result, a new shape of the unit-type rail is presented to reduce the magnetic dependency between thrust force and lift force. Also the distribution of magnetic flux density vectors and current-lift force characteristics are presented.

Today's highly competitive construction scenario forces all the major players in the field to take up multiple projects which have put an undue pressure on the resources available within the organization. Under such a situation, there are many instances where in the resource requirement exceeds its availability due to multiple activities (with same resource requirement) which are scheduled to start simultaneously and thus results in the constrained resource becoming a bottleneck of the project. As a consequence of sharing resources, this paper studies the impact on the completion date of two similar projects under two different conditions, the first one resulting in a postponed end date and the second without any postponement. The resource utilization, the possibility of substitution of a resource and its subsequent impact on the deadline of the project is analyzed under these two circumstances. The study is done on a Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM) platform instead of leaving the schedule with a traditional Critical Path Method (CPM) finish, which gives an added advantage of validating the robustness of the emerging CCPM trend in the field of resource management.
It seems essential to examine the factors that may affect relationship commitment of subcontractors to parent companies in the industrial market in Korea in an effort to construct a win-win-type cooperative network among them. Lots of studies have been focusing on the consumer goods market. Relatively few studies have been focused on industrial market. In the industrial goods market subcontractors used to sell their parts or services only to a small number of parent companies in a large quantity, resulting in decisive control of subcontractors over the quality of parent companies' finished goods. This is why relationship between subcontractors and parent companies is extremely important. From this viewpoint, this study aims to survey and analyze empirically the paths leading to relationship commitment of subcontractors toward the parent companies which are required to incite them to build up a collaborative network by means of subcontractors' entrepreneurship. For this aim, market orientation effects of entrepreneurship as well as factors of performance and trust are particularly set forth as the bases of developing hypotheses in this study in order to explore the paths from entrepreneurship to relationship commitment as follows. First, the path of entrepreneurship-market orientation-communication-trust- relationship commitment; second, the path of entrepreneurship-market orientation-performance-relationship commitment; third, the path of entrepreneurship-market orientation-transaction specific asset investment -trust-relationship commitment; and fourth, the path in which the entrepreneurship is expected to promote direct transaction specific asset investment by parent companies to induce their trust and, eventually, relationship commitment of subcontractors. The outcomes of the empirical analysis in this study may be summed up as follows: First, the conclusions of preceding studies are also supported here by the fact that the entrepreneurship of subcontractors promotes their market orientation (hypothesis 9), indicating that the entrepreneurship can facilitate collection, proliferation of and response to market informations. On the contrary, however, the assumption that the entrepreneurship of subcontractors might directly accelerate transaction specific asset investment by parent companies (hypothesis 8) is rejected. Second, although the influence of subcontractors' entrepreneurship on parent companies' investment of assets peculiar to their transactions is not affirmed, the assumption is found to be supported that subcontractors' market orientation would expedite the parent companies' investment of assets peculiar to their transactions. Moreover, it is also confirmed that parent companies' investment of assets peculiar to transactions would promote subcontractors' trust toward the parent companies (hypothesis 6), signifying that parent companies may level up their trust in subcontractors when they make great amount of efforts to invest in the assets peculiar to transactions, not behaving opportunistically, Third, the hypotheses 4 and 5 also turn out to be supported by the analysis as the former assumes that market orientation could promote communication and the latter relates that the communication between subcontractors and parent companies would prompt trust, both results in affirming that market orientation could introduce open communication to speed up sharing of information and that sharing of information by way of communication might give an impetus to trust. Fourth, the assumption that subcontractors' market orientation would expedite performance (hypothesis 3) is also proved favorably to the significant level equivalent to that of preceding studies. Fifth, same as preceding studies, it is also verified in this study that the benefit (outcomes) awarded by parent companies to subcontractors will be a direct cause exercising a positive impact upon relationship commitment(hypothesis 2) and that the trust of subcontractors toward parent companies may have affirmative influence on the relationship commitment(hypothesis 1). Overall, the first, second and third paths are identified as being supported by the hypotheses among constituent factors, while the fourth path is deemed meaningless since it is shown that the entrepreneurship exercises no effects on parent companies' investment in the assets peculiar to transactions.
