타이어/노면에 대한 Pass-by Noise 특성 연구 (A Study on Pass-by Noise Performance for Tire/Road)

  • It is well known that tire/road factors have a large influence on overall tire performance. In this paper, the basic study on the effects of tire/road factors on the pass-by noise performance of tire labeling has been carried out through experimental tests. The tire pass-by noise is affected by road characteristic factors, especially greatly influenced by road friction coefficient, and the next dominant factor is road chipping size. For several authorized pass-by noise test tracks, the pass-by noise correlation test has been done to know the test site effect, which results in 2~3dB(A) variation of pass-by noise level. Finally, it is shown that the winter tire is differently influenced by the pass-by noise test track characteristics, as compared to all-season tire and summer tire.

  • Many collapse of road cut slope consisted of representative granite of korea peninsula is happened by weathering progress. Chose hangye pass consisted of korea peninsula's representative granite style for this study. Purpose of this study is that consider suitable reinforcement of cut slope consisted of granite by analyzing characteristic of hangye pass vicinity road cut slope.

CPX 및 Pass-by 계측을 이용한 단독 주행 차량의 음향파워 평가 방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Evaluation Method of Sound Power for a Travelling Vehicle Using CPX and Pass-by Measurements)

  • This paper presents a novel method to determine sound power level(PWL) emitted by a travelling vehicle for road traffic noise simulation. The PWL is evaluated by the equivalent sound pressure level (SPL) measured by close proximity method and the sound power correction factor derived from the maximum SPL measured by pass-by method and the propagation attenuation of vehicle noise during the pass-by measurement. Using the method, we derive the empirical formula for PWL estimation in 1/1-octave and overall frequency bands for 8 vehicles (automobile, SUV, small truck, large bus, trailer, 3 dump trucks) tested at two road surfaces (dense graded asphalt, 30mm transverse tinning concrete) of Korean highway test road. The suggested approach, if securing sufficient data to represent the acoustic characteristics of all vehicle types, has il strong merit to be able to evaluate sound power levels for any combination of vehicle categories and traffic volumes.

고속도로 영업소 광장의 횡방향 럼블스트립으로 발생되는 소음 조사 (A Noise Investigation of Transverse Rumble Strip at Toll Plaza of Highway)

  • PURPOSES: This study is to investigate a generated traffic noise when vehicle pass over a transverse rumble strip at toll plaza of highway. METHODS: To investigate traffic noise at toll plaza of highway, Pass-by method which is the most common used for measuring traffic noise was adopted and the traffic noise at toll plaza was measured for 10 min per hour for 11hours(13:00~24:00). RESULTS: The measured traffic noise by pass-by method was changed as function of the transverse rumble strip configuration. Generally, the maximum difference among three noise measurement sections was 7 dB(A). It might be related with traffic speed. Also, the measured traffic noise was strongly generated from a passenger car which was 2 axle. It means that the most of traffic noise on the road is generated at tire/pavement interface of the passenger car. CONCLUSIONS: The traffic noise was strongly related with vehicle speed and transverse rumble strip configuration on the road. For driver safety, the transverse rumble strip is definitely necessary. However, the complaints from residents near highway was increased by traffic noise from transverse rumble strip. Therefore, To satisfy both safety and reduction of traffic noise, the development of configuration of transverse rumble strip is necessary in the further study.

Moving Vehicle Detection from Single-pass Worldview-3 Imagery Using Spatial Correlation Map

  • MV (Moving Vehicle) detection using satellite imagery is important for traffic monitoring and provides a wide range of observations. Specifically, MV detection methods utilizing the time lag in single-pass optical satellite images have been studied for detecting MVs from a single set of images. Because of limitations in detecting MVs outside of roads, most previous studies required road information to limit the moving object to cars on the road. However, it is difficult to obtain road information from inaccessible areas. Therefore, this study proposed a new method for detecting MVs regardless of their locations from single-pass optical satellite images without using additional data. WV-3 (Worldview-3) satellite images were used, and a spatial correlation coefficient map was proposed to detect spatial displacement which denotes MVs across two WV-3 MS images. Finally, evaluation was performed through quantitative metrics and visual inspection. The evaluation results revealed that the proposed method can detect MV movements from the single-pass satellite images. On the contrary, misdetected or undetected MVs due to radiometric differences between the images could be identified by visual inspection. The performance of the proposed method can be improved by minimizing radiometric variations and adding conditions that are robust to radiometric differences between the images.

도로교통 소음원에 의한 저주파 소음실태 (Low Frequency Pass-by Noise for Road Vehicle)

  • The Low frequency(1-200 Hz) noise levels radiated by road traffic were investigated. The results showed that the peak pass-by noise of truck with speed of 60km/h was about 75㏈. For the infra-sound frequency range, the noise was about 65㏈ and it was less value than expected. But the noise level will be increase as increasing the speed. The pass-by noise for train was also measured for comparison. The peak train noise was about 95㏈ and it will be enough noise level for a human body to give nuisance.

  • The objective of this paper is to compare the site-to-site variability of ISO 10844 pass-by-noise test sites. In order to investigate the site-to-site variance of test surfaces, European commercial tires are tested at seven different test sites. Three Korea test sites and four Europe test sites are selected.. The pass by noise test is executed according to a 2001/43/EC regulation. A]though the ISO surface has a very specific track composition, it does not reduce the variation of pass-by-noise measurements over the surface of test sites. This paper shows that the test results of pass-by-noise level are different depending on the test sites. The correlation obtained in this work is able to predict the pass by noise level for certain test site using the data measured from another test site. 17he prediction value is range with an error within 1dB(A).

  • 고해상도위성 영상은 항공사진에 비해서 다중분광특성 뿐만 아니라 광역성에서 많은 장점을 가지고 있다. 그래서 고해상도 인공위성영상은 수치지도를 제작할 때 GIS자료 구축하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 IKONOS 위성 영상에서 자동 검출된 도로정보가 ITS시스템 구축을 위한 자료로 사용되거나 변화가 빈번한 도시지역의 수치 지도 갱신 및 위성 영상지도 제작에 활용될 수 있는 가능성을 분석하였다. 본 연구에서는 저주파 필터링 후 Sobel 연산자가 도로 경계 검출을 위해 적용되었다. 연구결과 고해상도 위성 영상 자료 특성에 따라 도로를 비롯한 구조물 경계를 검출하고자 할 때 저주파 필터링과 고주파 필터링은 ITS구축을 위한 기초자료로 활용이 가능할 것으로 보인다.

  • It is increased that need of broadband multimedia service to make useful environment for user and to support the operation of railway system. So study of integrated data transmission in a subway and railway is activated. The research deals with pass loss characteristics of 18GHz microwave that is assigned frequency of integrated data transmission in a subway and railway. It is used sample integrated transmission system in subway and railway of KRRI(korea railroad research Institute) at the tunnel and road. Specification of test sample system is blow. It use OFDM modulation, Wireless frequency is 18GHz and 19GHz, Maximum output power is 20dBm, Receive sensitivity is -90dBm. The pass loss exponent and standard variation of road and tunnel is analyzed.
