  • In this paper, we present a object detection and tracking method based on image context analysis. It is robust from the image variations such as complicated background, dynamic movement of the object. Image context analysis is carried out using the hybrid network of k-means and RBF. The proposed object detection employs context-driven adaptive Bayesian framework to relive the effect due to uneven object images. The proposed method used feature vector generator using 2D Haar wavelet transform and the Bayesian discriminant method in order to enhance the speed of learning. The system took less time to learn, and learning in a wide variety of data showed consistent results. After we developed the proposed method was applied to real-world environment. As a result, in the case of the object to detect pass outside expected area or other changes in the uncertain reaction showed that stable. The experimental results show that the proposed approach can achieve superior performance using various data sets to previously methods.

  • We proposed the eye gaze tracking system under natural head movements, which consists of one narrow-view field CCD camera, two mirrors which of reflective angles are controlled and active infra-red illumination. The mirrors' angles were computed by geometric and linear algebra calculations to put the pupil images on the optical axis of the camera. Our system allowed the subjects head to move 90cm horizontally and 60cm vertically, and the spatial resolutions were about 6$^{\circ}$ and 7$^{\circ}$, respectively. The frame rate for estimating gaze points was 10~15 frames/sec. As gaze mapping function, we used the hierarchical generalized regression neural networks (H-GRNN) based on the two-pass GRNN. The gaze accuracy showed 94% by H-GRNN improved 9% more than 85% of GRNN even though the head or face was a little rotated. Our system does not have a high spatial gaze resolution, but it allows natural head movements, robust and accurate gaze tracking. In addition there is no need to re-calibrate the system when subjects are changed.

  • When using reliable multicast protocol over air links, the multicast packets lost in the air link cause the initiation of retransmission request packets and the implosion of retransmission packets, which deteriorate multicast session performance. This paper proposes on the efficient reliable multicast mechanism in wireless networks utilizing the Agents. In this paper we show the design of a retransmission agent which improves the performance of reliable multicast sessions in wireless network. The main idea is to cache reliable multicast packets at the base station and perform local retransmissions across the wireless link. MATLAB has been used to simulate and to get performance results for signaling overhead and processing delay through the comparison of the proposed agent model to the Multicast File Transfer Protocol. It has been proven from the simulation results that the proxy module make pass trials shorter in Multicast File Transfer Protocol.

  • The prefabricated type used generally in Korea to join cable runs on new installations or to repair broken Cable runs on existing installations, because installation is very simple and save time. This type is a permanent, shielded and submersible cable joint for direct burial or vault application. It confirms to the requirements of IEEE std. 404-1993 by factory testing, but many problems of insulated cable systems are caused by internal defects of the joint part which have to be mounted ensile. Faults arise from impurities or voids. A suitable solution for a monitoring of cable joints during the after-laying test and service is partial discharge detection. Specimen obtained 1mm thickness from the insulation of real power cable and cable joint. <중략>The partial discharges are measured to determine their time dependence for 60 minutes and the influence of applied electrical stress under 30kV. $\Phi-q-n$ properties were measured using detection impedance, high pass filter and computerized data acquisition system. Statistic Value like maximum charge, repetition rate, average charge, etc. are calculated. • The objectives of this study were to find out distribution of heavy metal contents in the soils of Hanam city and to provide base-line data towards development of an eco-city Hanam. One hundred surface soil (0-20 cm) samples were collected from rice paddy field, cultivated upland, forest, riverside and other areas. The samples were air-dried, sieved to pass through 2 mm sieves, followed by analyses for As, Cd, Cu, Pb and Zn by the standard method set by the ministry of environment. All the average heavy metal contents were close to background level and were much lower than concern level of the Soil Environment Conservation Act of Korea. However, some individual heavy metal contents were higher than the action level. Since natural environment including soil environment of Hanam city is being destroyed rapidly and the number of the sampling points allocated to Hanam city based on the soil contamination monitoring network of the ministry of environment is only 6, an in-depth soil survey for contamination of Hanam city is highly recommended.

  • In this paper, we consider the scheduling of SE(switching element)-disjoint multicasting in photonic Banyan-type switching networks constructed with directional couplers. This ensures that at most, one connection holds each SE in a given time thus, neither crosstalk nor blocking will arise in the network. Such multicasting usually takes several routing rounds hence, it is desirable to keep the number of rounds(i.e., scheduling length) to a minimum. We first present the necessary and sufficient condition for connections to pass through a common SE(i.e., make crosstalk) in the photonic Banyan-type networks capable of supporting one-to-many connections. With definition of uniquely splitting a multicast connection into distinct subconnections, the crosstalk relationship of a set of connections is represented by a graph model. In order to analyze the worst case crosstalk we characterize the upper bound on the degree of the graph. The successor paper(Part II)[14] is devoted to the scheduling algorithm and the upper bound on the scheduling length. Comparison with related results is made in detail.

  • This study aims to analyze the affecting factors-construction of collaborative planning process and effect on Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project. To this end, targeting the 36 districts which were selected for 2004 Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project and completed their 2010 5-year projects, components of collaborative planning process and planning effect will be drawn and the affecting factors-construction of collaborative planning and effect on Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project will be analyzed below. According to the results of this study, the affecting factors of collaborative planning process of Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project on planning effect, The level of effect of individual component on endogenous variable appeared greatest mostly in the upper groups. In terms of the level of individual component effect, social learning process and interaction among participants affected greatest. The process of Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project is evaluated that it reflected collaborative planning theory of Healey enough. Therefore, in the course of Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project progress, collaborative planning model must pass social learning process and interaction among participants which are the most important components out of collaborative planning process as we saw in the upper groups. And in order to maximize the performance and results of Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project, the following sequential affecting factors model as Figure 7 must be suggested as optimal collaborative planning models of Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project. Based on the results of the study, the policy implication was drawn as follows. First, systematic supplementations in the form of a consultative body are required to perform Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project efficiently. Second, network needs to be built among different participants in Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project process. Third, systematic mechanism is required to improve social learning among different participants. Fourth, systematic rearrangement is required to guarantee the residents' realistic participation in the course of Comprehensive Rural Village Development Project process.
