사회참여노인의 활동수준과 삶의 질 - 성별과 연령 차이를 중심으로 - (Activity Level of Social Participation and Quality of Life among the Elderly in Korea -Focusing on gender and age differences-)

  • 본 연구는 사회참여노인의 활동수준에 따른 삶의 질의 차이를 살펴보고 성별 및 연령 차이를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 따라서 복합적이고 다양한 노인의 사회참여와 삶의 질의 관계성을 분석하기 위해 활동의 양적 수준과 질적 수준을 포함한 총체적인 활동수준과 삶의 질 모형을 제시하고 분석을 통해 성별 및 연령에 따른 차이를 분석하였다. 분석대상은 수도권지역에 거주하고 있는 60대 이상 사회참여노인 총 586명을 대상으로 구조방정식 모형을 활용하여 다집단분석을 하였다. 분석 결과를 살펴보면 첫째, 각 사회참여의 활동수준과 삶의 질에 대한 가설검증 결과에서는 경제참여활동의 몰입경험, 사교친교참여활동의 몰입경험, 자기개발참여활동의 몰입경험이 삶의 질에 정적으로 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 사회참여의 활동수준과 삶의 질 간의 관계에 대한 성별 차이에 대한 다집단 분석 결과, 사교친교참여활동의 활동량과 삶의 질의 경로에서 차이가 있음을 확인하였다. 셋째, 연령에 대한 다집단분석 결과는 경제참여활동 몰입경험과 삶의 질의 경로에서 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로 이론적 및 실천적 함의를 논의하였다.

간호대학생의 자기주도적 학습능력과 기본간호 실습만족도가 기본간호술 수행자신감에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Self-Directed Learning Ability and Satisfaction with Practicum on Confidence in Performance of Fundamental Nursing Skills among Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 자기주도적 학습능력, 실습만족도 및 일반적 특성이 기본간호술 수행자신감에 미치는 영향력 정도를 분석하고자 시도되었다. 자료수집은 B시와 U시 소재 2개 4년제 대학에 재학 중인 간호학과 3학년 학생들을 대상으로 자료수집 시점까지 임상실습 경험이 없는 318명의 간호대학생들을 편의 표집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 18.0 프로그램을 이용하여 서술통계, t-검정, ANOVA 및 Scheffe test, Pearson's correlation coefficients, Stepwise multiple regression을 사용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과 대상자들의 기본간호술 수행자신감은 $3.40{\pm}0.61$점, 자기주도적 학습능력은 $3.38{\pm}0.40$점, 실습만족도는 $3.93{\pm}0.59$점으로 나타났고, 기본간호술 수행자신감은 자기주도적 학습능력(r=.289, p<.001), 실습만족도(r=.353, p<.001)와 유의한 순 상관관계를 보였으며, 자기주도적 학습능력은 실습만족도(r=.393, p<.001)와 유의한 순 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 기본간호술 수행자신감에 영향을 미치는 요인은 실습만족도(${\beta}=.24$, p<.001), 자기주도적 학습능력(${\beta}=.15$, p=.010), 실습참여태도(${\beta}=.13$, p=.027)로 총 설명력은 15.6%였다. 따라서 기본간호 실습교육자는 학생들의 기본간호술 수행자신감 증진을 위해 이들의 실습만족도와 자기주도적 학습능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 적절한 교수학습법을 적용할 필요가 있으며, 기본간호 실습교육 시 학생들의 적극적인 참여를 유도하기 위한 다각적인 교육 전략을 세울 필요가 있다고 본다.

의과대학생의 졸업 후 전공선택을 위한 진로지도 (Career Guidance to Help Medical School Students Choose a Specialty after Graduation)

  • The author recommends the creation of a nationwide career guidance program at the national level through the establishment of a long-term cohort, involving collaboration among medical schools nationwide. This cohort would be constructed for the purpose of analyzing correlations from admission to medical school to post-graduate education, facilitating the development of a career guidance program. This will aid in career development through students' self-analysis and competency building. Each medical school should operate a systematic career guidance program. Career guidance for post-graduate major selection should be included in the regular curriculum. Schools are advised to operate student counseling rooms for various career guidance services. For example, medical schools can operate 1:1 career counseling, academic counseling, career guidance surveys, psychological tests, and counseling. It is advisable to establish a mentor-professor system, connect mentor professors, and build a network of experts related to majors to provide immediate support according to students' needs. Professional mentor training should be provided to mentor professors. To provide opportunities for students to experience their career paths in advance, early clinical exposure, long-term integrated clinical practice, community-based clinical practice, participation in student research programs, career fairs, and student internship programs are recommended. In South Korea, it is necessary to systematically operate the internship system and make improvements to facilitate optical career choices. Additionally, considering the significant influence of social factors on students' career choices in South Korea, efforts should be made to identify and address the issues related to these social factors.

졸업 후 의학교육에 경험학습이론의 활용 (Applications of Experiential Learning Theory to Graduate Medical Education)

  • The purpose of this study was to introduce the concepts of experiential learning and the Kolb's model, and to review some applications of experiential learning theory in graduate medical education. The published literature on GME and education for general practitioners applying the experiential theory and the Kolb's model was reviewed. Experience learning defined the cyclical learning process which emphasizes the learners' reflective thinking of the learners' concrete experiences and their active participation in continuous learning actives. Kolb includes this 'cycle of learning' as a central principle in his experiential learning theory. This is typically expressed as a four-stage cycle of learning. Kolb's cycle moves through concrete experience(CE), reflective observation(RO), abstract conceptualization(AC) and active experimentation(AE). Components of continuing education of the adult learner were based on autonomy, context of learning, and competence and performance as educational objectives. Some strategies for graduate medical education were reflective thinking, self-directed learning, morning reporting and feedback with peer review, etc. Opportunities for learning from experience in practical life can be made to enhance reflective thinking and performance of practitioners. Strategies to develop reflective practice among physicians should be explored by further research.

경남지역 일부 근로자들의 산업장에서의 건강관리에 대한 지식, 태도, 실천 (A Study on the Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice of Public Health Management In Industry in Kyeongnam Province)

  • The purpose of the study is to provide basic data on the public health management in the industrial work places, and some implications on the public health education related to workers self care capacity of their own health. To achieve this purpose a questionnaire was provided to 332 workers during February 11-28, 1993. This was do in Changwon-shi Geojeoi-kun, Chungmoo-shi, Jinjoo-shi, of Kyeongnam province. Through the analysis of the survey results, a relationship was deduced between worker's general characteristics and basic elements of health management in the work place. The main results of this study can be summarized as follows : 1. In the knowledge area special health screening received the highest score 3.18. While the educational program scored the lowest .85. In the Attitude area the highest score was achieved in the affirmative attitude to the time consumed by health checks (3.28). The lowest by the management of health checks(1.53). In the Practice area, participation in health checking is the most active (3.44) , and public health education is the least active (0.95). 2. The differences of knowledge by workers' general characteristics is statistically significant in the work sector (P<.05), age (P<.05), sex (p<.001), marital status (P<.001), and prior career(P<.01). But in Attitude general characteristics are not significant factors. In the Practice area, did have a statistical significance, work sector (p<.001), age (p<.001), sex (P<.05), marital status (p<.001) and work career (P<.001). 3. The total difference by workers' general characteristics has a statistical significance only in the case of marital status (P>05). The note of married workers is higher than that of single workers. 4. The correlation between any two of Knowledge, Attitude, and Practice do have a statistical significance (p<.001).

A Strategy for Supporting the Learning Community in Cooperation with Industry

  • Learning community is one of the important pillars of the education in knowledge-based society. How to encourage students' spontaneous participation to the learning community is one of the actual problems to solve for the revolution of the education scheme. In this paper we introduce a strategy to boost the activity of the learning community, which works in the on-line space. The keys for the on-line supporting system for the learning community are to have communication space, trading space and connection with industry. To support activities of each space, we provide an on-line web site which includes a community module, a knowledge market module and an industrial commentary module. Students can start their self-leading study in the communication space, and they can also practice skills for the knowledge management in the knowledge trading space. Through the connection space, they can learn more from the real world critics with help of industry.

Effects of an Algorithm-based Education Program on Nursing Care for Children with Epilepsy by Hospital Nurses

  • Purpose: Epilepsy is the most common neurological disorder in childhood. Hospital nurses, who are the first to recognize seizures in epilepsy patients in the ward environment, possess expertise related to epilepsy and play a central role in epilepsy management. The purpose of this study was to develop an algorithm-based education program and to improve nurses' knowledge and self-efficacy related to providing nursing care to children with epilepsy. Methods: The education program consisted of lectures on the definition, cause, classification, diagnosis, treatment, and nursing of epilepsy based on a booklet, as well as practice using an algorithm for nursing interventions when a child experiences a seizure. Twenty-seven nurses working at pediatric neurological wards and a pediatric emergency room participated in the education program. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the paired t-test. Results: Nurses' knowledge and self-efficacy showed a statistically significant improvement after participation in the education program on nursing care for children with epilepsy. Conclusion: The application of this education program for hospital setting is expected to improve nurses' capability to care for children with epilepsy, thereby contributing to a higher quality of nursing.

가천대학교 의과대학 졸업 후 진로지도 프로그램 설계와 운영 (Design and Implementation of a Career Guidance Program at Gachon University College of Medicine)

  • The ultimate goal of career guidance is to help medical students develop a career plan that matches their personal characteristics, allows them to train in their desired subspecialty, and helps them to adapt well to medical practice after graduation. Gachon Medical School has designed a longitudinal career guidance program called GLORI (Gachon Longitudinal Orientation and Career Development), which is based on the outcome of each phase. The program consists of regular courses and portfolio-based career guidance from a mentor professor. In phase 2 (basic medical science), the "Career Seminar" course was developed. This course focuses on self-understanding through a psychological inventory, exploration of postgraduate career paths, and interviews with professors in specialties of interest. In phase 3 (the integration of basic and clinical science), the "Exploring Nonclinical Career Options" course was introduced. This course presents perspectives from doctors who have followed various pioneering career trajectories, including biomedical engineering, medical journalism, writing, public health, health care administration, the pharmaceutical and medical device industries, and other areas. All teaching methods were designed to encourage student participation. The assessment methods are assignment-based, including self-reflective reports and presentations. In addition, a portfolio-based career guidance program is implemented in phases 3 and 4 (clinical clerkship). It is expected that this case study will serve as a practical example for developing comprehensive career guidance programs for medical schools.

노인들의 사회활동 참여에 관한 연구 - 경기도 은빛독서나눔이 사례를 중심으로 - (A Study on Social Participation Activity of the Eldery: in the Case of the Eldery Reading Assitant Program in GyeongGi-Do)

  • 본 연구는 경기도에서 운영하고 있는 '노인 독서도우미' 교육 프로그램과 독서지도 활동이 이루어지는 방법에 대한 내용을 조사하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 노인독서도우미 프로그램의 운영 내용을 파악하기 위하여 경기도청의 프로그램 담당자에게 자료협조를 받았으며, 2011년 노인독서도우미 교육에 참가한 노인들을 대상으로 일반적 배경, 교육 참여 목적, 프로그램의 만족도, 개선방안 등에 대한 설문조사를 수행하였다. 설문지는 초급과정 136부, 중급과정에서 166부가 수집되어 분석에 사용되었다. 연구결과, 어르신 독서도우미 교육의 참여 목적은 일하는 즐거움, 자원봉사 등 개인의 문화적 활동이나 자아실현에 대한 의미가 강했으며 교육 프로그램과 독서지도 활동에 대한 만족도는 대체적으로 높게 나타났다. 개선되어야 할 점으로는 전문적인 내용의 교육, 활동기간의 연장, 지역아동센터의 적극적인 협조 등이 지적되었다.

인권관점에 기초한 사회복지실천 경험에 관한 질적 사례연구 - 장애인거주시설의 종사자 경험을 중심으로 - (A Qualitative Case Study on Rights-Based Social Work Practice in a Residential Facility for People with Intellectual Disabilities)

  • 이 연구는 질적 사례연구방법을 활용하여 지적장애인거주시설에서의 인권관점에 기초한 사회복지실천을 종사자의 경험을 중심으로 분석한 것이다. 이를 위해, 장애인거주시설 중 대표적으로 인권관련활동을 하는 기관으로 추천받은 A기관을 선정하고 사례연구방법을 통해 조직 및 개인차원에서의 경험,성과 및 딜레마를 심층적으로 탐색하였다. 조직차원에서 인권관점에 기초한 사회복지실천은 이용자의 욕구를 어떻게 충족해 줄 것인가에 대한 관심으로부터 시작되었다. 그 과정에서 인권보장위원회 구성,인권규정 제정 등의 조직의 정비와 인권교육 및 인권관점을 강조하는 조직 문화 구축이 나타났다. 개인 차원에서 종사자들은 인권관점에 기초한 사회복지실천으로 장애인의 자기결정권과 선택권을 매우 중요하게 생각하고 있었다. 또한 인권관점에 기초한 사회복지실천은 이용자, 직원 및 기관 조직문화에 서 다양한 변화를 야기하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 실천과정 안에서 나타나는 새로운 딜레마로 인해 또 다른 고민과 대안을 끊임없이 모색하는 역동적 과정으로 분석되었다. 이 연구는 인권관련 선행연구들이 정책적, 이념적, 개념적 논쟁에 집중되어있는 것과 대조적으로 미시적 측면의 사회복지실천에서 인권관점이 어떻게 구현되고 있는지를 집중적으로 탐색한 국내 최초의 기초연구로서 그 함의가 크다.
