  • Concern about food safety among consumers is very high at the moment, because many problems related to food safety have occurred, such as Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE). To improve consumers' reliability about food safety issue, government in every country have tried to set various food policy, and the Korean government has also tried to set consumers at ease about their diet, for instance, food traceability system. The aim of this study is to define consumer perceptions and intention to participation for solar salt traceability system. As the results, consumers generally have positive perception about solar salt traceability system, and the study identifies that attitude, reliability and availability significantly influence intention to participation for solar salt traceability system.

The Impact of Live Commerce Features and Situational Factors on Participation Intention in Tourism Live Commerce

  • Purpose This study explores the impact of tourism live commerce on consumer participation intention. Utilizing Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) framework and situation theory, the study is to identify the features and situational factors of tourism live commerce and to investigate their impact on flow experience, perceived value, and participation intention. Design/methodology/approach A theoretical model is developed and validated through a survey, adopting PLS-SEM approach. A self-administered questionnaire was developed and distributed via Wenjuanxing, the largest online survey platform in China, in October 2022, resulting in 361 valid responses. Findings The results reveal significant effects of features and situational factors of tourism live commerce on consumer behavior, enhancing the understanding of tourism live commerce and extending the S-O-R framework in this context. The study offers both theoretical contributions and practical implications, providing valuable insights for managers to improve consumer engagement in tourism live commerce.

The Effects of Capital and Ecological Variables on Volunteering Among Older Adults (자본 및 생태환경 요인이 노인자원봉사활동에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of human, social and cultural capital and ecological variables on volunteering among older adults. In this study, three variables of education, income and physical health were examined as human capital factors, two variables of formal and informal interaction as social capital factors, three variables of religion, cultural organization participation and quality of life as cultural capital factors, and three variables of existence of spouse, housing tenure and residence area as ecological factors. In addition, two variables of volunteering participation and continuous volunteering participation intention were considered as dependent variables. For this study, "Senior Job Replacement Project Participants" data collected by the Korea Labor Force Development Institute for the Aged were used and analyzed employing logistic regression analysis technique. This study found that three human capital variables(education, income, physical health) had positive effects on volunteering participation and continuous participation intention among older adults; of the two social capital variables, informal interaction had a positive effect on both volunteering participation and continuous participation intention, whereas formal interaction had a positive effect only on continuous participation intention; three cultural capital variables(religion, cultural organization participation, quality of life) had positive effects on both volunteering participation and continuous participation intention; and of three ecological variables, housing tenure and residence area had positive effects on volunteering participation and continuous participation intention, whereas existence of spouse had no significant effects on dependent variables.

  • The purpose of this research is to draw family restaurant's strategic operation plan by seeking factors in diverse angles that can affect consumer's evaluation on the service of family restaurant that executes SST(Self Service Technology). For this purpose the research investigated the relationship among technology readiness, customer participation, service quality, customer satisfaction and service repurchase intention. As a result, First optimism and innovation in technology readiness positively affected service quality. Second, emotional participation and physical participation in customer participation positively affected service quality, but informational participation did not positively affect service quality. Third, service quality positively affected customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction positively affected service repurchase intention. Therefore, this research confirmed marketing effectiveness of technology readiness and customer participation and proved the possibility of service quality, customer satisfaction and service repurchase intention as antecedent variables.

  • This study was to explore the effect of local community on participation of local festival. In order to carry out the empirical study, 320 survey questionnaires were collected in Cheonan. AMOS 4.0 and SPSS Win 12.0 statistics packages were utilized for analysis of SEM. The study results were as follows: first, analysis on the relationship between identity and participation of local festival(interest of festival participation, extent of local festival, intention of local festival) Showed that identity effected every factor of participation of local festival, second, dependence effected interest of festival participation and intention of local festival, third, social friendship can't effected every factor of participation of local festival.

  • This study examines the relationship between sport confidence, exercise passion and re-participation intention of collegiate students participating in snow-ski class. The subjects for this study were 416 collegiate students who signed up for snow-ski class as a university curriculum. The reliability and validity test of the questionnaire were conducted by using SPSS & AMOS Window 18.0 program; the results of descriptive analysis, factor analysis, correlation analysis, structural equation model are as follows; First, sport confidence of collegiate students in ski-class affects their exercise passion. Second, sport confidence of collegiate students in ski-class has influence on their re-participation intention. Third, collegiate students' exercise passion in ski-class affects their re-participation intention. Lastly there is a causal relationship between sport confidence, exercise passion and re-participation intention of collegiate students in the snow-ski class.

  • The study was to research relations among 5 characteristic-factors of participants in sport for all, satisfaction of participation and intention to adhere to exercise. First, the implications of 5 characteristic-factors effect on satisfaction of participation are as blow. Extroversion has a positive effect on psychological satisfaction, satisfaction of relaxation, social satisfaction and physical satisfaction. Openness has a positive effect on satisfaction of relaxation and affinity has a positive effect on social satisfaction and physical satisfaction. Emotional instability has a negative effect on environmental satisfaction. Second, hierarchical regression analysis of 5 characteristic-factors effect on satisfaction of participation and intention to adhere to exercise is as follows. Characteristics-factors of participants have an effect on intention to adhere to exercise in order of extroversion and affinity. Satisfaction of participation has an effect on intention to adhere to exercise in the order of social satisfaction, satisfaction of relaxation and physical satisfaction.

The Structural Relationship between Experience Factor, Experience Satisfaction and Re-participation Intention of KIMAWEEK Yacht Experience Participants (국제해양레저위크(KIMAWEEK) 요트체험 참가자의 체험요인과 체험만족 및 재참가의도와의 구조적 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine how the experience factors of KIMAWEEK yacht experience participants affect the experience satisfaction and re-participation intention. this study, 515 KIMAWEEK participants in Pusan metropolitan city conducted a mobile survey and the following conclusions were drawn. First, deviant, educational, and aesthetic factors among the experience factors of yacht experience participants were found to affect the satisfaction of experience, but entertainment factors did not affect it. Second, educational and entertainment factors, among the experiential factors, influenced re-participation intention in relation to the experience factor and re-participation intention, but deviant factors and aesthetic factors did not affect it. Third, the relationship between the experience satisfaction and re-participation intention was also found to have a similar effect. Through this study, various and differentiated experience factors should be provided in order to increase the satisfaction of KIMAWEEK yacht experience participants. In particular, realistic events that meet local characteristics should be held.

The Relationship between Perceived Participation in Decision Making and Turnover Intention among Early Childhood Teachers: The Mediating Effect of Organizational Commitment (보육교사가 지각한 의사결정 참여와 이직의도와의 관계: 조직몰입의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study examined the relationship between perceived participation in decision making and turnover intention among early childhood teachers and tested whether teachers' organizational commitment was a mediating factor. The subjects were 193 early childhood teachers working in day care centers in the Incheon and Gyeonggi-do areas. All valuables were measured by teacher questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed using Manova and Path analysis. The main results of this study were as follows. Firstly, there was a significant difference in perceived participation in decision making, organizational commitment and turnover intention among teachers according to only the type of day care center. Secondly, teachers' participation in decision making was positively related to organizational commitment while both of them were negatively related to turnover intention. Finally, teachers' organizational commitment fully mediated the relationship of participation in decision making to turnover intention. These findings could provide supporting evidence for measures to improve a working environment for early childhood teachers.

The Effect of Gambling Characteristics on the Future Gambling Participation Intention among Middle School Students (중학생의 도박특성이 향후 도박참여의향에 미치는 영향)

  • Recently, gambling problem of youth has seriously increased. the aim of this study is to investigate the effect of sociodemographic and gambling characteristics on the future gambling participation intention among middle school students. Analysis through chi-square test and logistic regression was conducted using data from 10,228 middle school students collected in the 2018 Survey on Youth Gambling problems given from Korea center on Gambling problems. The research findings were as follows. First, among the demographics factors, sex, grade, allowance and parents-children communication showed significant difference on future gambling participation intention. Second, among the gambling factors, awareness of gambling seriousness and spending, frequency, time, cost, chasing behavior, problem gambling level showed significant difference on future gambling participation intention. Third, grade, awareness of gambling seriousness, gambling frequency, chasing behavior, problem gambling predicted the occurrence of future gambling participation intention. Based on these results, the present study suggests the prevention and intervention of gambling problem among middle school students.
