자동차보험 신뢰도 적용에 대한 베이지안 추론 방식 연구 (A study of Bayesian inference on auto insurance credibility application)

  • 본 연구는 가격 경쟁으로 인하여 최근 들어 요율 세분화가 심화되고 있는 자동차보험 시장에서, 부분 신뢰도의 적용 대상에 대한 경험적 사전분포 (empirical prior distribution) 함수 또는 무정보적 사전분포 (noninformative prior distribution) 정보의 가정을 통한 신뢰도 산출 방식에 대하여 살펴보았다. 요율 세분화의 확대로 가격 산출 단위의 수가 증가될 경우, 부분 신뢰도의 적용 대상은 점차 증가되게 될 것으로 판단되기 때문에, 기존에 제시된 신뢰도 적용 방식을 베이지안 프레임에서 적용, 추론함으로써 보다 다양하고 정교한 방식으로 그 활용 범위를 넓히고자 한다. 즉, 경험적으로 사용되는 사전 분포함수 또는 무정보적 사전 정보를 통하여 적절한 사후분포 (posterior distribution)함수를 도출하고 오차를 최소화하는 베이즈 통계량을 적용한 신뢰도를 추정하여 적용함으로써, 위험도 예측에 있어 기존에 제시된 방법과 비교하여 그 효용성을 입증하고자 한다. 현재 가장 많이 활용되는 제곱근 법칙 (square root rule)의 신뢰도 추정 방식에 베이지안 추론에서 도출된 통계량을 반영한 결과를 분석하여 실질적인 위험도에 수렴하는 수준을 비교하게 된다. 이는 이론적으로 위험도 예측에서 오차를 줄이는 방식에 대한 대안 제시와 더불어 신뢰도 적용 방식에 대한 추가적인 활용 대안을 보험업계에 제시함으로써 요율 세분화로 인한 부분 신뢰도 적용방식에 대한 그 이해와 활용의 폭을 넓히고자 한다.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze various factors comprising a job satisfaction; determine possible factors that affects job satisfaction. Job satisfaction model is designed to evaluate major factors, such as job stress and strength, and to assess relationship between these factors. Partial least squares algorithm is used to develop a job satisfaction measurement model. To evaluate validity of developed model, survey data of health insurance review and assessment service is to applied.

Status Quo Bias in Ocean Marine Insurance and Implications for Korean Trade

  • Purpose - This research uses ocean marine insurance (OMI) statistics, international emails, focus-group interviews, and surveys to fill the gap between the theory of behavioral insurance, particularly status quo bias (SQB), and the practice of OMI in Korea. The contractual forms of OMI, the oldest and most globalized form of commercial insurance, were developed in the UK as the Institute Cargo Clauses in 1906 and revised in 1963, 1982, and 2009. SQB has been academically explored, mostly in health insurance and the financial services sector, but never in OMI. Thanks to the availability of OMI statistics in Korea, we can conduct SQB research here for the first time in this field. Design/methodology - We show the existence of SQB in the OMI of Korea through Korean statistics between 2009 and 2018, email correspondence with experts in the UK, Germany, and Japan, focus-group interviews with Korean OMI underwriters, an in-depth interview with one underwriter, and a survey of 15 OMI insureds (company representatives). Findings - We find that Korean foreign traders rely on the old-type OMI contracts developed in 1963, whereas other industrialized countries use the newest type of OMI contract developed in 2009. With a simple loss ratio analysis during 2009-2018, we show that the behavior of insurers has little to do with rational profit maximization and is instead driven by irrational bias, as they forgo the more profitable contracts provided by the new clauses by keeping the old clauses. The consistent addiction to old types of contracts in the OMI market suggests strong SQB among Korean exporters, importers, bankers, or insurers, which we confirmed in our interviews and survey. Originality/value - This research has significant originality and academic value because it reports new findings with crucial implications for the development of efficient trade practices and policy. First, this research is based on actual statistics that have not been used in previous Korean research on OMI. Second, this research shows that all-risk OMI policies provide more value to insureds, in terms of coverage given premium, than partial coverage policies, which differs from arguments previously made in Korea. Third, this research reveals strong SQB in Korea, where foreign trade plays a pivotal role in economic growth. That bias could be attributable to uninformed traders, informed but idle insurers, or conservative bankers. Fourth, to further develop foreign trade, policy initiatives are needed to review the current practices of OMI contracts and move forward with the new contract forms. All of these findings and arguments are both new and important.

총의치 장착 후 의치 조정 횟수에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 후향적 연구 (Factors influencing the frequency of denture adjustments after delivery of complete denture: a retrospective study)

  • 목적: 총의치를 장착한 환자에서 연령, 성별, 총의치를 장착한 악궁, 틀니 보험 적용 여부, 대합치의 종류, 의치 사용 경험, 무치악 기간, 의치상 종류 등에 따라 의치 장착 후 의치를 조정하는 횟수 및 기간에 차이가 있는지를 분석하고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: 5년 간 국민건강보험 일산병원 치과보철과에서 총의치 장착을 시행한 만 65세 이상 환자의 의무기록을 대상으로, 총의치 장착 후 사후 점검의 횟수 및 기간을 평가하였다. 성별, 보험 적용 여부, 총의치를 장착한 악궁, 의치상 종류, 대합치의 종류, 의치 사용 경험, 연령 및 발치 후 의치를 장착하기 전 치유기간에 따른 총의치의 사후 점검 횟수 및 기간의 상관 관계를 분석하기 위해서 5%의 유의수준에서 통계 분석을 시행하였다. 결과: 총 247개의 의치가 포함되었다. 평균 사후 점검 횟수의 중위수는 3회였으며, 사후 점검 기간의 중위수는 36일이었다. 의치를 하악에 장착한 경우가 상악에 장착한 경우보다 사후 점검 횟수가 통계적으로 유의하게 많은 것으로 나타났으며(P = .036) 대합치가 총의치인 경우가 국소의치인 경우에 비해 사후 점검 횟수가 많은 것으로 나타났다(P = .016). 연령, 성별, 보험 적용 여부, 의치 사용 경험, 무치악 기간, 의치상 종류에 따른 사후 점검 횟수는 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 결론: 이번 연구의 한계 내에서, 의치의 조정 횟수는 의치를 장착한 악궁이 하악일 때 및 대합치가 총의치인 경우에서 증가하였다.

동일 승용차량에 대한 RCAR 신.구 충돌시험을 통한 차체 충돌특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Vehicle Crash Characteristics with RCAR Crash Test in Compliance with the New Test Condition)

  • This research investigates vehicle structure acceleration and vehicle deformation with RCAR crash test. To investigate vehicle damage characteristics in an individual case, it is possible to RCAR low speed crash test. In this study, two tests were conducted to evaluate difference between RCAR new condition and RCAR old condition. A two large vehicles were subjected to a frontal crash test at a speed of 15km/h with an offset of 40% $10^{\circ}$ angle barrier and flat barrier. The results of the 15km/h with an offset of 40% $10^{\circ}$ angle barrier revealed high acceleration value on the vehicle structure and high repair cost compared to the RCAR 15km/h with an offset of 40% flat barrier. So in order to improve damage characteristics in low speed crash of vehicle structure and body component of the monocoque type passenger vehicles, the end of front side member and front back beam should be designed with optimum level and to supply the end of front side member as a partial condition approx 300mm.

성인 직장 남성의 생활습관과 체질량지수, 혈압 및 혈중지질농도의 상관성 (Relationships among Lifestyle, BMI, BP, and Serum Lipid Profiles in Working Men)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine lifestyle, BMI, BP, and lipids profiles in male subjects and to explore the relationships among variables. Methods: A total of 148 male subjects were recruited from one life insurance company from December 1, 2005 to February 28, 2006. Data collection methods were structured questionnaire, anthropometry and serum analysis. The relationships among lifestyle, BMI, BP, and serum lipid profiles were assessed by descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and partial Pearson's correlation coefficient of variables after controlling for age, educational level, and economic status. Results: The mean BMI of the participants was relatively high as 25.38(range: 18.38 - 32.83). The differences of serum lipid profiles according to age, educational level, and economic status were significant. 'Use of caffeine and drugs'(r = -.187, p < .05) and 'consciousness of safety'( r= -.200, p < .05) was negatively related to BMI. Higher score of 'type of personality' domain was correlated with lower systolic BP(r = -.221, p < .01) and lower diastolic BP(r = -.195, p < .05) and was positively correlated with HDL(r = .191, p < .05). Conclusion: 'Use of caffeine and drugs', 'consciousness of safety' and 'type of personality' of lifestyle as well as 'dietary habit' and 'exercise' played a key role in circulatory disease.

보건의료제도 변화에 대한 지역주민의 수용태도 분석 (A Study of Attitudes to Changed Health Care Delivery System in a Community)

  • This study was conducted to analyse attitudes to a new health care system in a rural community. The specific purpose of this thesis was to classify attitudes to the patient referral system in Kangwha county, and to identify factors affecting the attitudes. Sampling was done by a multi-stage stratified cluster sampling method from the population. The data were collected in Kangwha county through a structured interview survey for two weeks in June, 1957. Attitudes to the patient referral system were classified into four types based upon answers to questions about awareness of the system, the recognition for the necessity of the system, and opinions on the improvement of the system. The four types of attitudes were active acceptance(10.2%), partial acceptance (27.2%), refusal(35.8%), and indifference(26.7%). The respondent's age, educational level, age of head of household, medical insurance fee, the number of ill family members, and the percentage of medical utilization by the family were the variables which affected the attitudes. The medical insurance fee, respondent's age, age of head of household, and the percentage of medical utilization by the family were the statistically significant discriminant factors of the four types of attitudes.

동일 플렛폼 차량에 대한 저속 충돌시 손상성 수리성에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study on Characteristics of Damageability and Repairability with Similar Platform Type at Low Speed 40% Offset Crash Test)

  • The damageability and repairability of similar platform type vehicles could be very concerned with design optimization. In all the vehicles crash tested, small size passenger vehicles were weakness in aspect of damageability and repairability. The most critical area appears to be repair cost considering that parts cost is the largest portion of total repair cost segments. Besides repair cost, attaching method of front sidemember and subframe are placed special importance for impact energy absorption and damageability and repairability. So in order to improve damageability and repairability of vehicle structure and body component of the monocoque type passenger vehicles, the end of front side member and front back beam should be designed with optimum level and to supply the end of front side member as a partial condition approx 300mm. The effectiveness of design concept on the 40% offset frontal impact characteristics of the passenger vehicle structure is investigated and summarized.

산업재해 인정 형태 변화와 보상체계 합리화 연구 (Changes and Challenges in the Concept of Industrial Accident Insurance in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 산재보험의 재해보상이 산재 여부에 따라 급여 수급을 전액받거나 혹은 전액 받지 못하는 체계로 인해 산재여부에 대한 판정의 복잡성과 갈등의 요소가 내재되어 있는 문제점의 개선에 초점을 두고 있다. 재해보상형태는 초기 원인주의에 입각한 사용자의 배상책임에 따라 배상 정도가 결정되었으나, 이후 무과실책임주의로의 전환과 재해인정범위의 확대 과정을 거치게 되었다. 이러한 발전은 재해인정에 있어서 All or Nothing 원칙 강화로 이어지게 된다. All or Nothing 원칙이 상당한 논란의 소지가 있음에도 부분인정제도를 도입하기 어려운 이유는 행정적 복잡성을 더욱 심화시키는 점에 있다. 따라서 선진국에서는 사회보장의 종합적 차원에서 보편적 보장을 통해 전체인정제도의 한계를 극복하고 있다. 하지만 한국의 경우 재해로 인한 비용발생이나 소득손실에 대해 종합적 보장체제가 이뤄져 있지 않아 산재인정과 관련된 논란이 심해질 우려가 있다. 따라서 보상차등화의 취지와 논리 수용을 통한 제도개선과 더불어 장기적으로는 종합적인 재해보상 체제 구축이 요구된다.

노인장기요양보험 재가급여 수급자의 구강위생서비스 요구도와 비용지불의사 (Demand and willing to pay for oral hygiene service in long-term care insurance of elderly)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to identify the demand and willingness to pay for oral hygiene services among elderly people with long-term care insurance. Methods: Our study was a cross-sectional analysis. Subjects comprised 126 elderly individuals from long-term home-care centers. A total of 28 centers were selected through convenience sampling from among 78 centers in ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$. For analysis, semi-structured questionnaires that required about 20-30 minutes to complete were used. Analysis was performed using SPSS 23.0 software. Results: The overall demand for oral hygiene services was 44.4%, and willingness to pay was 31.0%. Thirty-three people (58.9%) of elderly those who have demand for an oral hygiene service were willing to pay for the service, and 64 people (91.4%) who did not have a demand were not willing to pay for it. Among those with partial dependence on brushing, 65.6% had demand for oral hygiene services and 50.0% were willing to pay costs. Among basic livelihood beneficiaries, 69.6% were willing to pay for oral hygiene services; general subjects and relievers were less willing to pay. Conclusions: The overall demand for oral hygiene services among elderly people was 44.4%, and the willingness to pay was as low as 31.0%.
