  • In order to design a good ready-made cloth, it is important to consider not only body size but also morphological factor. However, most dissatisfaction of customer is focusing on the size of ready-made cloth which is graded with elements of body size. Various researches on body type have been doing but the study on part of body type is insufficient compared to the study on whole body type. The objective of this paper is to provide relationship of shoulder angle between value in pattern and real measured value after analysis and comparison with these two values.

  • In this paper we describe the shape measuring technique and system with a non-contractive sensor, composed of slit-ray projector and solid-state camera. For improving the accuracy and preventing measuring dead point, this sensor part is attached to the end of robot, and each sensing is executed after one step moving. By patching these sensing data, whole measuring data is constructed. The calibration between sensor and world coordinate is implemented through the specific calibration block by transformation matrix method. The result of experiment was satisfactory.

  • Risk management is an important part of system assurance and it is widely used in safety-related system. Railway signal system is one kind of safety-related system and its most important goal is to guarantee the safety of railway system. The method based on risk management can find and solve the security issues of railway signal system more effectively. This paper introduces the basic conception of risk management, studies the whole process of risk management and related tools and techniques and discusses some key points qualitatively combining with the particularity of railway signal system.

  • In this paper, we propose a technique of the recognition of partial face. Most of the research is concentrated on the recognition of whole face Since part of the face area in an image can be damaged or overlapped, face recognition based on partial face is required. PCA and LDA technique is applied to the recognition of partial face. Also, a new method to combine the results of the recognition of parts of the face.

  • Recent work by Gwena and Teixidor i Bigas provides a characteristic-free proof of a part of a previous theorem by one of us, under a stronger numerical assumption. By using an intermediate result from the mentioned manuscript, here we present a simpler, characteristic-free proof of the whole original statement.

  • Developed is an optical auto-inspection system to detect some microscopic defects on the Inside surface of the hydraulic automobile brakes at the production line. A small cylindrical detection module with a solid laser source at its center has two rings of optical fibers to separately collect light reflected and scattered from the defects on the surface. The cylindrical brake part rotates with respect to the detection module that will move parallel to the rotational axis of the cylinder. Thus, the optical module can scan the whole inside surface area. The automatic detection of the defects is to compare the intensity distributions ...

  • The mixture model is a very powerful and flexible tool in clustering analysis. Based on the Dirichlet process and parsimonious Gaussian distribution, we propose a new nonparametric mixture framework for solving challenging clustering problems. Meanwhile, the inference of the model depends on the efficient online variational Bayesian approach, which enhances the information exchange between the whole and the part to a certain extent and applies to scalable datasets. The experiments on the scene database indicate that the novel clustering framework, when combined with a convolutional neural network for feature extraction, has meaningful advantages over other models.

  • The main theme of this research is a case of e-Business implementation in part manufacturing industry, especially in a PCB manufacturing company. The characteristics of part manufacturing industry are as follows. First, an ERP system runs as a legacy system that is ready to be combined with e-Business system. Secondly, the number of customers is very small. The customers are not many individuals but only a few big electronic enterprises that are strategically affiliated with the part manufacturing company. This means that the e-Business of the part manufacturing industry needs to focus on sharing pertinent information throughout the transactions with the customers, not on data-warehousing or data-mining customers' potential needs or requests. In this paper, we extracted e-Business opportunity domains from a PCB manufacturing company, a typical part manufacturing industry. We are intended to enhance information sharing between customers and the company, and provide functions of transactions necessary in the whole value chain from order to shipment. Implementing the e-Business system on the Web can increase the visibility of customers, and further, the company can be transformed into an extended enterprise where the relationship with the customers becomes very close and interleaved. Also, the Cyber Office functionality of the e-Business system can support the salespersons effectively, so that they can spend more time on customer satisfaction. Such efforts, in the future, can be a basis for active adaptation to the industry transformations such as forming e-community and participating in the marketplace.

  • The purpose of this research is to analyze the lower part of dress forms with different sectional rotation-angles ($e.g.\;9^{\circ},\;15^{\circ},\;30^{\circ},\;45^{\circ}$) using three-dimensional measurement system and to investigate measurement properties for dress making. The dress forms used in this experiment were size 8 and six types: four from Korea and two from Japan. The instrument and tools for three-dimensional measurement was Whole Body 3D scanner (Exyma-WBS2H). The analysis program used in this experiment was Rapid Form 2004 PP1 (INUS technology, Inc, Korea). The measurement of dress forms was done three times with different sectional rotation-angles and its data were analyzed using SPSS WIN 10.0 Package. The following results were obtained: 1. With mean and standard deviation of each measured part, it was found out that the dress forms from two countries were different in size per each part. For example, the Japanese one was relatively large in middle hip and hip, compared to the Korean one. 2. The 3D analysis of the sectional rotation-angles revealed some differences between the two dress forms in sectional length per each part. 3. With cluster analysis results, it was found that there were definite differences among measurements per each part, especially in $30^{\circ}\;and\;45^{\circ}$ sections. 4. The proportion of the dress forms showed significant differences in the curvature between center and side section of the lower parts. In addition, the shapes on the horizontal section map of the four levels (waist, middle hip, hip, and bottom) were analyzed.

  • In this study, we developed mobile contents and mobile learning system for learning of english presentation based on Android platform. First, the application including contents transfer system which enables contents run on Android platform was developed for learning of English presentation. Second, presentation contents which will be applied on the application were manufactured. The contents developed in this study are for learning English presentations. The contents are classified into two parts; Part 1 is for basic English presentations, and Part 2 is for advanced English presentations. Each part is made up with 9 units, and each unit is composed differently by topics. The number of whole chapter for both parts is 51. We analyzed the questionnaire responses with respect to UI satisfaction and satisfaction of the learning experience. The UI satisfaction results showed that 85% of the participants were satisfied at an ordinary or higher level with our system. And The satisfaction of the learning experience results showed that 95% of the participants were satisfied at the ordinary or higher level with our system.
