시간-주파수 영역 반사파 계측방법을 이용한 부하 저항 측정 시스템 구현 (The Implementation of Load Resistance Measurement System using Time-Frequency Domain Reflectometry)

  • One of the most important topics about the safety of electrical and electronic system is the reliability of the wiring system. The Time-Frequency Domain Reflectometry(TFDR) is a state-of-the-art system for detecting and estimating of the fault on a wiring. In this paper, We've considered the load resistance measurement on a coaxial cable using TFDR in a way of expanded application. The TFDR system was built using commercial Pci extensions for Instrumentation(PXI) and LabVIEW. The proposed real time TFDR system consisted of the reference signal design, signal generation, signal acquisition, algorithm execution and results display part. To implement real time system, all of the parts were programmed by the LabVIEW which is one of the graphical programming languages. Using the application software implemented by the LabVIEW, we were able to design a proper reference signal which is suitable for target cable and control not only the arbitrary waveform generator in the signal generation part but alto the digital storage oscilloscope in the signal acquisition part. By using the TFDR real time system with the terminal resistor on the target cable, we carried out load impedance measurement experiments. The experimental results showed that the proposed system are able not only to detect the location of impedance discontinuity on the cable but also to estimate the load resistance with high accuracy.

비대칭 적설하중 적용을 통한 단층 래티스 지붕 구조물의 좌굴하중 특성 (Buckling Load of Single-layered Lattice Roof Structure Considering Asymmetric Snow Load)

  • A single-layerd steel lattice roof, which has 50m span, was constructed. In order to figure out the realistic buckling load level, the structural analysis of this roof structure was performed especially by local snow load. Due to the characteristics of application of snow load, the load combinations of snow should be considered not only global area but also local part so that the critical buckling load could be observed as easy as possible. Geometrical imperfection was simulated to consider inaccurate shape of structure. And then nonlinear analysis were performed. Finally, this paper could investigate that the local snow load with geometrical imperfection decreased the level of buckling load significantly.

Finally, this paper could investigate that the asymmetric snow load with the lower level stiffness of connection decreased the level of buckling load significantly.

  • SAW device is widely used as band pass filters, chemical or physical sensors, and actuators. In this paper, we propose the capacitive gap measurement system with high precision using SAW device. The research process is mainly composed of theoretical and experimental part. In the theoretical part, equivalent circuit model was used to predict the SAW response by the change of load impedance. In the experimental part, commercialized capacitor was used to see the SAW response by the change of load capacitance to check the feasibility as a sensor unit. After that, experimental setup to measure and adjust the gap was made and the SAW response by the change of gap which caused the capacitance change was measured. Finally, resolution and stroke was decided compared with the signal change and basic measurement noise level.

승용차의 부분부하제어를 위한 스크류형 과급기 개발 (Development of a Screw Type Super-Charger for Part Load Control of Passenger Car)

  • Turbo- or Super-charging has been used to boost engine power for Gasoline- and Diesel Engine since beginning of 20th century. So far turbo-charger has enjoyed a high reputation in the charging field for its technical advantages such as no demand of operation power from engine and an excellent charging effect in a static operation at mid- and high engine speed. A mechanically driven super-charger, however, is now popular due to the high engine power at quick change of the driving mode - high engine torque even at low engine speed. Since super-charger needs operation power from engine, it is difficult to improve its relatively higher fuel consumption than that of turbo-charger. This negative point is still an obstacle to the wide use of supercharger. Super-charger using screw-type compressor will fulfill the purpose to reduce fuel consumption by minimizing operation power owing to no charge at idling or part load driving condition. This study aims to develop power control concept to achieve the minimization of operation power. A screw type super-charger was modified in design partially and installed with an internal bypass valve and a bypass tube to control charging pressure at part load. The various control concepts show a possibility to reduce operation power of super-charger.

가솔린 엔진의 밸브타이밍 변화가 부분부하 조건에서 잔류가스량 및 연소특성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Value Timing on Residual Gas Fraction and Combustion Characteristics at Part Load Condition in an SI Engine)

  • In-cylinde flow and mixture formation are key contributors to both idle stability and combustion stability at part load condition in SI engine. The real time measurements of air-fuel ration and in- cylinder residual gas fraction are particularly important to obtain a better understanding of the mechanisms for combustion and emissions especially during cold start and throttle transient condition. This paper reports the cycle resolved measurements of residual gas fraction and equivalence ration near speak plug with value timing change and their effects on combustion characteristics at part load. The results showed that the effect of intake value opening on the residual gas fraction was smaller than that of exhaust valve closing because of the decreases of exhaust gas reverse flow from exhaust port. The variation of equivalence ratio near spark plug increased with the increase of value overlap and it closely related with heat release rate and combustion stability

지열원 멀티 열펌프 시스템의 시설원예 적용 난방성능 특성 실증 연구 (Heating Performance of a Ground Source Multi-Heat Pump for a Greenhouse)

  • Good plant-growth conditions can be achieved by means of using greenhouses. One of the main issues in greenhouse cultivation is energy savings through the development of high efficient heating and cooling system. GSHPs are one of the recommended systems to cope with this pending need. The aim of this study is to investigate the heating performance of ground source multi-heat pump system installed in a greenhouse under part load conditions. Daily average heating COP of the heat pump unit was very high by at least 7.4, because of relatively large condenser, evaporator, and mass flow rate through ground loop heat exchanger. However, the system COP, overall heating coefficient of the performance of the system with heat pump unit and GLHX, decreased drastically due to relatively large power consumption of circulating pump under part load condition. It is suggested that the technology to enhance the performance of the ground source multi-heat pump system for a greenhouse under part load conditions should be developed.

  • 지하식 LNG 저장탱크의 Bottom Slab와 Side Wall의 연결부(코벨)는 응력집중을 완화하기 위하여 앵커바를 사용하여 부분적으로 고정되는 힌지 조건을 갖는다. 그러므로 LNG저장탱크 하중 조건인 LNG온도, 지하수압 등에 의해 방사 방향과 수직 방향으로 변형된다. 멤브레인 설계 관점에도 이러한 변형값이 직접 전달되어 중첩되므로 중요한 부분이다. 본 논문에서는 코벨부의 실제 거동을 조사하기 위하여 센서를 설치하여 온도, 하중 그리고 변위를 측정하였다. 또한 FEM 해석으로 예측한 하중조건에 대한 설계 값과 비교하여 합리적인 설계를 제시하고자 하였다.

  • To fulfill the demands concerning energy efficiency for zero energy buildings, various technologies of architects and engineers are required. This study aims to estimate the thermal performance of heat source equipment in which part load characteristics are considered in an office building. Overestimation of heat source equipment was reviewed through literature survey, and heating and cooling loads depending on the capacity and division of the equipment were analyzed through a simulation program (DOE-2.1E). The conclusions gained from this study are as follows; 1) The more the division of equipment, the less the heating and cooling energy consumption. 2) When a large item of equipment is divided into two small items of equipment, the optimum application rate showed as 5:5 for chiller, and 7:3 for boiler, respectively.

Effect of Wave Load on the Member Force of Steel Structure of Floating Buildings

  • For floating buildings may fl oat on the water for a long time, they are constantly affected by various environmental loads such as wind and wave loads. In this study to find the wave effect on the floating building, five models are designed using steel moment resisting frame. It is assumed that the lower part of the floating building is a reinforced concrete pontoon, while the upper part is a three-story steel frame. To analyze floating buildings affected by wind and wave loads, hydro-dynamic and substructure analysis are performed. As input loads, this study set limits that the mean wind velocity is 35 m/s and the significant wave height is 0.5 m for the residential building. From the hydrodynamic analysis, the time-history acceleration of building is obtained and transformed into a base ground input for a substructure analysis of the superstructure of the building. Finally the mean of the maximum from 30 dynamic analysis of the floating buildings are used to be compared with the results of the same model on the ground. It was shown that the dynamic results with wind and wave loads are not always lesser than the static results which are calculated with static equivalent wind load for a building that is located on the ground.
