The new Urban Park Regulation encourages local governments to introduce new types of urban parte such as historic parte, cultural parks and neighborhood parte. However ambiguity among those parks in terms of main facilities and providing recreational programs makes it difficult for local governments, as well as landscape designers and planners, to adopt this new regulations. In this light, the present study aims to search for park facilities and programs defined by the new regulations, in order to satisfy users' demands for those parks with consideration to parks' unique characteristics. For these purposes, a conjoint analysis was carried out with three hundreds participants. Sampled participants include the citizens of Seoul as well as current residents of Paju. The study results indicate that participants would like to have distinctive programs and facilities at these three new types of parks. However, no considerable differences were observed among the levels of programs and facilities participants wish to have, due to unfamiliarity with, in particular, cultural and historic parks. Despite this insignificant difference among attribute levels, study results clearly suggest that residents wold like to have new types of facilities and recreational programs.

This study suggests that the diversity of parks is necessary because the number of children, who are the main users in children's parks, is decreasing and the use of parks by older people is increasing. In particular, the present aging society is trying to propose a multi-purpose park to solve the problem of the elderly leisure. To do this, this study surveyed domestic and foreign children's parks and selected study sites to understand the usage patterns of children's parks. As a result of surveying the location of the park to select the study sites, most children's parks were found mostly in single family housing areas and multi-family housing areas. As a result of the survey, it was found that the children's parks consisted of streets and areas by the 'City Parks and Greenery Act' and they were uniform. This paper presents basic data for the development of a model for producing a multipurpose park that can be used for children's parks by the elderly. The subjects of this study were selected from 7 districts of Daegu city, which were classified into single family housing areas and multi-family housing areas. As a result, the arrangement of various facilities in the children's park is insufficient, and it was uniform without a design motive and contents. Therefore, the utilization rate of various age groups could be increased by developing a multi-purpose park model for a children's park.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the color environment of urban small parks. We selected the urban small parks located in the subway stations around the line 2 and the Yamanote line in Seoul and Tokyo, and measured the environmental color with a spectroscopic colorimeter. Four urban parks, four urban parks, four urban parks, four urban parks, and four urban parks in Tokyo, and conducted field surveys. The study was divided into social sports facilities, park facilities and floor paved areas. The results of the study are as follows. The color of Y, YR, and GY colors were high in the environmental color of the first sports facilities in Seoul and Tokyo. In the case of Seoul, B, BG, PB, and Tokyo are R and P series, respectively. econd, in the case of social sports facilities, Tokyo has a different color distribution than Seoul, and Seoul has a somewhat higher brightness, so bright colors have been applied to the facilities. Third, the colors of park facilities showed similar brightness and saturation values in Seoul and Tokyo. In color distribution, Seoul is higher in Y-series and B-series, and Tokyo is higher in Y-series and R-series. The brightness and the saturation of the bottom pavement are similar to those of Seoul and Tokyo. However, the difference in color distribution shows that the color difference of the social facilities of urban small parks in Seoul and Tokyo varies depending on the color distribution rather than brightness and saturation.

Natural resources managers have considered the landscape without detailed consideration of aesthetic values of the landscape and geomorphological significance of unique landforms. Since EIA system was introduced in 1981, values associated with landscape protection have been neglected at best compared with those values traditionally attributed to environmental protection, including clean air, water quality and species protection. Black top highways are being built without consideration of harmful effects to the sea cliffs. Sea walls and tetrapod are being installed to protect the coastal towns and fish markets for tourist. However, beach itself are experiencing accelerated erosion due to the shortage of proper coastal engineering expertise. Hotels and condominiums are under construction on a massive scale around the national parks, which substitute the scenic ridges with concrete profiles. To protect the scenic beauty of national parks, their design and construction material should be more harmonious with the surroundings. Therefore, visual impact assessment should be applied both within the national park boundary and beyond to enhance the aesthetic values of national parks.

This study is an experimental study to introduce the soundscape design for urban parks. subjective response to soundscape for 4 urban park are carried out using 7 scale S.D. method which are included 25 adjective pairs. In order to recognized the effect environmental sound(bird singing, sweet environmental music, nature sound) for enriching the present sondscape, this study analyse the subject response for soundscape after and before using the environmental sound. The degree of satisfaction for visual atmosphere is higher than for auditory atmosphere of parks, this means that visual clues are much more effective to the environment condition than auditory clues. The effect of using the environmental sound is positive and effective to enrich the soundscape. On providing environmental sounds, it is necessary to consider the charcteristics of urban parks.

The paper deals with the emergence of creative industries in Germany in the last decade and points out the recent development of creative industries at examples from different sub-segments. Recent national and regional policies are reflected and the importance of creative industries in relation to other economic branches will be discussed. Key factors for the development of creative industries are highlighted based on a literature review and a compilation of several empirical research studies. The paper points out the role of Science & Technology Parks for the development and further development of creative industries, based on German experiences. Finally, the conclusion deals with some ideas to facilitate the impact of Science and Technology Parks on creative industries in Germany.

Users' satisfaction and behavior at five mini parks in the central area of Seoul City were investigated under the encironmental design evaluation framework. The major findings are as follows; 1) The major user group is a student group with the ages ranging from 15 to 24. 2) Half of the users spend 20 to 60 minutes in these parks. 3) According to the multiple regression analysis, the variables related to the satisfaction in daytime are noise level, sunshine, plants, crowding, and surface slope, where those in nighttime are quality of surrounding buildings, turf area, lighting, shade, and sculpture or fountain. 4) According to the free response, the basic needs inmini parks are shade for rest and such amenity facilities as bench, trash basket, and drinking fountain. In addition to these basic needs, users prefer such visually pleasing objects as sculpture and fountain.

Kidult trend has continued to influence diverse areas such as fashion, advertisement, interior, cosmetics, and so on in the modern age. As combined word of kid and adult, a Kidult is an adult who participates in youth culture and activities traditionally intended for children. This study intends to check out how the phenomenon of Kidult trend is exhibited in fashion area as well as to develop fashion design for kidult inspired by the images shown in an amusement park. The method of study is two-fold. One is a critical review of previous literature and the other is a development of fashion design based on it. The literature study is referred to books of fashion, books of trend and data collected through internet, and design results are presented using mainly quilting and knitting techniques. The results are as follows. Firstly, a kidult fashion was expressed playful and interesting by the sensibilities of kidults that hope to return to the innocence of childhood reminiscing about the good old days. Secondly, a characteristic of the fashion design for kidults is to display the innovative and diverse design with exaggerated expression and a broad spectrum of colors. One's own unique style can be developed through memories and fantasies from fairy tales in childhood. Thirdly, themes of amusement parks were an appropriate means to show the characteristics of the kidults. A variety of characters and buildings and shapes of the rides in the amusement parks were useful for the design motive targeting for the customers with the kidult characteristics and images of fashion and accessories design. Fourthly, inspired by the amusement parks, the work in this research has presented the new kidult styles designed as various forms combining inner feelings that seek distinctive and unique styles and amusement features.

The purposes of this study are two folds: a) to introduce conjoint choice model to research the choice behavior of theme park users, and b) to suggest the strategies to strengthen the competitiveness of theme parks. The major four theme parks in Seoul metropolitan areas were selected as study areas. A leading polling agency was employed to select 432 respondents by probability sampling and to conduct face-to-face interview. Both alternative generating and choice set generating fractional factorial design were conducted simultaneously to meet the necessary and sufficient conditions for calibration of the conjoint choice model. Dummy coding was used to represent the attribute levels, and the alternative-specific model was calibrated. The goodness-of-fit of the model was quite satisfactory($\rho$$^2$=0.47950), and most parameters values had to expected sign and magnitude. Car was preferred transport mode to shuttle bus for visiting theme parks ; however the most ideal attribute levels only were estimated significantly. Most attribute levels of shuttle bus were estimated significantly except the Dream Land, which is the least attractive park among study areas. Simulation results showed that the shuttle bus was a mode worth providing to switch the current car dominant visiting pattern of theme parks, which will be one the effective strategies to attract more patrons, especially for potential users adjacent to parks. Several ideals were suggested for future researches, in terms of utilization of more general utility function and new base alternative, and inclusion of more salient attributes such as constraints in the model.

In this paper it is investigated that the visual elements of preference which influence the visual preference for bench. "What color of bench is preferred when the location is the same\ulcorner" Started from those questions, the elements of preference which influence the visual preference for bench is investigated. In this research, a equal standard mark system is applied for the evaluation of visual elements of preference and then the relationship between the visual preference and the elements of preference are examined by the method of multiple regression analysis. The result of primary factor analysis from the visual evaluation in this paper will affect visual preference of the bench in urban park. Thus, the result of this study will contribute to development of urban parks for the maximum satisfaction of park visitors supplying necessary information for a resting place planning and design. It will provide a useful management guide of urban park facilities to prepare a strategic management plan of the benches from the users point of view. Especially, to know the correct preference of people, which will be provided by the evaluation of visual preference to bench will be the key to rest place planning.
