  • 포항가속기연구소 저장링에는 Dipole Magnet, Wiggler, Undulator 등 다양한 방사광발생장치를 설치하여 각종 실험에 사용하고 있다. 그중 ADC사에서 제작한 In- vacuum Undulator (이하, ADC-IVU)는 고휘도의 X-선 빔을 생성하여 생체고분자(단백질, DNA 등) 단결정의 X-선 회절 데이터를 획득하는 실험을 수행한다. 현재, ADC-IVU의 Rf finger 등 일부장치의 성능개선을 위한 장치 해체, 교체 작업과 재조립 및 정렬작업, 구동시험을 거치고 최종 초고진공 진공 달성을 위한 탈가스처리, NEG 활성화작업등을 마무리 하였다. 본 발표에서는 ADC-IVU의 성능개선 작업에 대한 전반적인 사항과 진공작업 및 그 결과를 내용으로 한다.

  • 3D Welding and Milling is a solid freeform fabrication process which is based on the combination of welding as additive and conventional milling as subtractive technique. This hybrid approach enables direct building of metallic parts with high accuracy and surface finish. Although it needs further improvements it shows an application potential in rapid tooling of injection mold inserts as the investigation results show. To optimize the process for higher surface quality and accuracy effectively Taguchi method is applied to the experimental investigation. in this way relationships between process parameters and final product qualities such as tensile strength and surface hardness are found with minimal efforts.

  • Various types of sensors are used at industrial sites to measure vibration. With the increase in the diversity of vibration measurement methods, vibration monitoring methods using camera equipment have recently been introduced. However, owing to the physical limitations of the hardware, the measurement resolution is lower than that of conventional sensors, and real-time processing is difficult because of extensive image processing. As a result, most such methods in practice only monitor status trends. To address these disadvantages, a high-resolution vibration measurement method using image analysis of the edge region of the structure has been reported. While this method exhibits higher resolution than the existing vibration measurement technique using a camera, it requires significant amount of computation. In this study, a method is proposed for rapidly processing considerable amount of image data acquired from vision equipment, and measuring the vibration of structures with high resolution. The method is then verified through experiments. It was shown that the proposed method can fast measure vibrations of structures remotely.

  • 최근 스마트 기기의 보급화로 인해 많은 종류의 스마트기기용 어플리케이션이 개발되고 있다. 본 논문에서 다루는 안드로이드 OS(Android Operation System)를 사용한 양방향 모바일 프레젠테이션(Presentation) 이란 기존 일방적 전달방식의 프레젠테이션에서 모바일 플랫폼을 활용하여 청취자와 프레젠테이션 주최자간의 동일 자료를 통해, 제한적인 공간에서의 실시간적인 쌍방향 프레젠테이션 환경을 제공 해줄 수 있는 어플리케이션이다. 기존의 일방적인 방향으로 인해 생길 수 있는 청중들과의 커뮤니케이션의 개선과 발표 자료에 대한 가독성 저하의 문제를 해결하여 보다 발표자로 하여금 프레젠테이션의 효율을 높일 수 있도록 하였다.

  • This study, as part of a study to reduce carbon dioxide emissions from the cement industry, compared and analyzed microhydration heat and strength characteristics of no-cement composites using blast furnace slag powder as a binder and CaO, CaCl2, Ca(HCOO)2 and Ca(NO3)2 as alkali activators. As a result of the evaluation, considering the strength, it is judged appropriate to use CaO, CaCl2 and Ca(NO3)2.

  • Recently, the importance of eco-friendly and sustainable development has been emphasized. The construction industry also needs to make efforts to reduce cement use, which accounts for 8% of greenhouse gas emissions. This study examined the fluidity and compressive strength of a cementless composite using fine blast furnace slag powder and fly ash without using cement in order to reduce greenhouse gas emissions due to the use of cement.

  • In this study, to design a multi-GNSS receiver using single RF front-end, the receiving performances for various frequency plans were evaluated. For the fair evaluation and comparison of different frequency plans, the same signal needs to be received at the same time. For this purpose, two synchronized RF front-ends were configured using USRP X310, and PC-based software was implemented so that the quality of the digital IF signal received at each front-end could be evaluated. The software consisted of USRP control, signal reception, signal acquisition, signal tracking, and C/N0 estimation function. Using the implemented software and USRP-based hardware, the signal receiving performances for various frequency plans, such as the signal attenuation status, overlapping of different systems, and the use of imaginary or real signal, were evaluated based on the C/N0 value. The results of the receiving performance measurement for the various frequency plans suggested in this study would be useful reference data for the design of a multi-GNSS receiver in the future.
