In this paper, we propose a novel approach of an acoustic echo cancellation (AEC) algorithm which is differently adopted in the relevant period condition by the suppression parameter of a parametric wiener filter (PWF). The PWF uses the suppression parameter to compensate uncertainty of acoustic echo signal estimation. The existing PWF method using the fixed suppression parameter derives the distortion of the near-end signal at the double-talk. To solve this problem, the boundary condition is devised using decision of the double-talk detection (DTD) algorithm and voice activity detector (VAD). The boundary condition makes it possible to treat differently depending on the case of the single-talk and double-talk. According to the experimental results, the proposed approach is found to be effective for acoustic echo cancellation using the boundary condition.
Comprehensive understanding of the flood risk assessments via frequency analysis often demands multivariate designs under the different notations of return periods. Flood is a tri-variate random consequence, which often pointing the unreliability of univariate return period and demands for the joint dependency construction by accounting its multiple intercorrelated flood vectors i.e., flood peak, volume & durations. Selecting the most parsimonious probability functions for demonstrating univariate flood marginals distributions is often a mandatory pre-processing desire before the establishment of joint dependency. Especially under copulas methodology, which often allows the practitioner to model univariate marginals separately from their joint constructions. Parametric density approximations often hypothesized that the random samples must follow some specific or predefine probability density functions, which usually defines different estimates especially in the tail of distributions. Concentrations of the upper tail often seem interesting during flood modelling also, no evidence exhibited in favours of any fixed distributions, which often characterized through the trial and error procedure based on goodness-of-fit measures. On another side, model performance evaluations and selections of best-fitted distributions often demand precise investigations via comparing the relative sample reproducing capabilities otherwise, inconsistencies might reveal uncertainty. Also, the strength & weakness of different fitness statistics usually vary and having different extent during demonstrating gaps and dispensary among fitted distributions. In this literature, selections efforts of marginal distributions of flood variables are incorporated by employing an interactive set of parametric functions for event-based (or Block annual maxima) samples over the 50-years continuously-distributed streamflow characteristics for the Kelantan River basin at Gulliemard Bridge, Malaysia. Model fitness criteria are examined based on the degree of agreements between cumulative empirical and theoretical probabilities. Both the analytical as well as graphically visual inspections are undertaken to strengthen much decisive evidence in favour of best-fitted probability density.
Evapotranspiration is a key element in designing and operating agricultural hydraulic structures. The profound effect of climate change to local agro-hydrological systems makes it inevitable to study the potential variability in evapotranspiration rate in order to develop policies on future agricultural water management as well as to evaluate changes in agricultural environment. The APEX-Paddy model was used to simulate local evapotranspiration responses to climate change scenarios. Nine Global Climate Models(GCMs) downscaled using a non-parametric quantile mapping method and a Multi?Model Ensemble method(MME) were used for an uncertainty analysis in the climate scenarios. Results indicate that APEX-Paddy and the downscaled 9 GCMs reproduce evapotranspiration accurately for historical period(1976~2005). For future periods, simulated evapotranspiration rate under the RCP 4.5 scenario showed increasing trends by -1.31%, 2.21% and 4.32% for 2025s(2011~2040), 2055s(2041~2070) and 2085s(2071~2100), respectively, compared with historical(441.6 mm). Similar trends were found under the RCP 8.5 scenario with the rates of increase by 0.00%, 4.67%, and 7.41% for the near?term, mid?term, and long?term periods. Monthly evapotranspiration was predicted to be the highest in August, July was the month having a strong upward trend while. September and October were the months showing downward trends in evapotranspiration are mainly resulted from the shortening of the growth period of paddy rice due to temperature increase and stomatal closer as ambient $CO_2$ concentration increases in the future.

Rice paddy accounts for approximately 52.5% of all farmlands in South Korea, and it is closely related to the water environment. Climate change is expected to affect not only agricultural productivity also the water and the nutrient circulation. Therefore this study was aimed to evaluate changes of nitrogen load from rice paddy considering climate change scenario uncertainty. APEX-Paddy model which reflect rice paddy environment by modifying APEX (Agricultural Policy and Environmental eXtender) model was used. Using the AIMS (APCC Integrated Modeling Solution) offered by the APEC Climate Center, bias correction was conducted for 9 GCMs using non-parametric quantile mapping. Bias corrected climate change scenarios were applied to the APEX-Paddy model. The changes and uncertainty in runoff and nitrogen load were evaluated using multi-model ensemble. Paddy runoff showed a change of 23.1% for RCP4.5 scenario and 45.5% for RCP8.5 scenario compared the 2085s (2071 to 2100) against the base period (1976 to 2005). The nitrogen load was found to be increased as 43.9% for RCP4.5 scenario and 76.0% for RCP8.5 scenario. The uncertainty analysis showed that the annual standard deviation of nitrogen loads increased in the future, and the maximum entropy indicated an increasing tendency. And Duncan's analysis showed significant differences among GCMs as the future progressed. The result of this study seems to be used as a basis for mid- and long-term policies for water resources and water system environment considering climate change.

In this paper, we propose an image-based output feedback robust controller of robot manipulators which have bounded parametric uncertainty. The proposed controller contains an integral action and high-gain observer in order to improve steady state error of joint position and performance deterioration due to measurement errors of joint velocity. The stability of the closed-loop system is proved by Lyapunov approach. The performance of the proposed method is demonstrated by simulations on a 5-link robot manipulators with two degrees of freedom.
In this paper, a robust sensorless vector control system for induction motors with a speed estimator and an uncertainty observer is presented. At first, the proposed speed estimator is based on the MRAS(Mode Reference Adaptive System) scheme and constructed with a simple fuzzy logic(FL) approach. The structure of the proposed FL estimator is very simple. The input of the FL is the rotor flux error difference between reference and adjustable model, and the output is the estimated incremental rotor speed Secondly, the unmodeled uncertainties such as parametric uncertainties and external load disturbances are modeled by a radial basis function network(RBFN). In the overal speed control system, the control inputs are composed with a norminal control input and a compensated control input, which are from RBFN observer output and the modeling error of the RBFN, repectively. The compensated control input is derived from Lyapunov unction approach. The simulation results are presented to show the validity of the proposed system.
In this paper, an optimal motion control scheme is proposed for robot manipulators. A simple explicit solution to the Hamilton-Jacobi equation is presented. The optimization of motion control is based on the mininization of the torque term affecting the kinetic energy and the augmented error which has the first-order stable dynamics for the position and velocity tracking error. In the presence of parametric uncertainty, an adaptive control scheme using the optimal principle is proposed. The global stability of the closed-loop system is guaranteed by the Lyapunov stability approach, The effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed control schemes are shown by simulation results.

DEA(data envelopment analysis) is a non-parametric technique for measuring and evaluating the relative efficiencies of a set of entities with common crisp inputs and outputs. In fact, in a real evaluation problem input and output data of entities often flucturate. These fluctuating data can be represented as linguistic variables characterized by fuzzy numbers. Based on a fundamental CCR model, a fuzzy DEA model is proposed to deal with fuzzy input and output data, Furthermore, a model that extends a fuzzy DEA to a more general case is also proposed with considering the relation between DEA and RA (regression analysis) . the crisp efficiency in CCR modelis extended to an L-R fuzzy number in fuzzy DEA problems to reflect some uncertainty in real evaluation problems.

Although inverter-driven hydraulic elevators(HEL's) have advantages over traditional valve-controlled HEL's energy efficiency and performance they need robustness in performance and stability to accomodate nonlinearities big parametric variations and resonances in mechanical-hydraulic inner system. In this paper a robust controller based on DGKF/$\mu$ mixed approach is applied to a HEL system with carring capacity of 24 persons for Incheon International Airport. The results of a test tower(T/T) has shown good ro-bustness in performance and stability of the proposed controller thereby proving a feasibility of this robust controller-based approach for other HEL problems.
