원근 왜곡 보정의 실시간 구현 방법 (Realtime Implementation Method for Perspective Distortion Correction)

  • When the planar area is captured by the depth camera, the shape of the plane in the captured image has perspective projection distortion according to the position of the camera. We can correct the distorted image by the depth information in the plane in the captured area. Previous depth information based perspective distortion correction methods fail to satisfy the real-time property due to a large amount of computation. In this paper, we propose the method of applying the conversion table selectively by measuring the motion of the plane and performing the correction process by parallel processing for correcting perspective projection distortion. By appling the proposed method, the system for correcting perspective projection distortion correct the distorted image, whose resolution is 640x480, as 22.52ms per frame, so the proposed system satisfies the real-time property.

  • 볼륨프로는 일반 PC상에서도 실시간 볼륨렌더링이 가능하도록 고안된 하드웨어이다. 그러나 볼륨프로는 직교투영(orthographic projection) 기능만 제공하기 때문에 가상 내시경과 같이 투시투영 (perspective projection)이 필요한 분야에는 이용할 수 없다. 이런 문제를 해결하기 위해 볼륨 데이터를 여러 개의 슬랩(slab)으로 분할하여 투시투영을 근사 하는 방법이 소개되었으나 이 방법은 시각 절두체에 포함되지 않은 부분까지 렌더링 하기 때문에 처리시간이 길어지는 문제가 있다. 본 논문에서는 볼륨프로의 크로핑(cropping) 기능을 이용하여 볼륨 데이타를 여러 개의 서브볼륨으로 분할함으로써 효율적인 투시투영이 가능하도록 하는 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 시각 절두체(view frustum)에 포함되는 부분만 렌더링하므로 슬랩을 이용하는 기존 방법과 동일한 화질을 가지면서 처리시간을 단축시킨다.

  • This study presents method for self-calibration of the SEM(Scanning Electron Microscope) stereo image using the standard microprobe with same grid pattern and using parallel and central perspective projection equation. Result showed that parallel projection method is more suitable for standard microprobe. The maximum error of 3D coordinates acquired by this method did not exceed 5 $\mu\textrm{m}$, and DSM(Digital Surface Model) for three dimensional measurement of the rock sample was generated by the digital photogrammetry. This result can be used for quantification of micro scale change of shape and analysis of the micro morphology of rock due to weathering.

  • This paper propose a rectification technique by applying the Projection matrices derived from perspective projection matrices estimated from self-calibrated stereo image pairs. The derivation is made such that two epipolar lines are in parallel. Rectified images are generated by reprojecting corresponding image points. For the performance analysis of this technique, vertical coordinates of rectified points are compare to those obtained by the technique[3].

  • Many contemporary architectural avant gardes tend to use painting as a medium to create architecture which goes beyond the rationalized spatial conception of modem architecture represented by perspectivism. They produce non perspective drawings to represent spatial Ideas, and expand it through poetic imagination to create an unexpected architectural form and space. This paper attempts to analyze the historical origin and background of dominance of drawing in the production of architecture. It was with the invention of perspective that architectural representation became important tool for architectural production. Thereafter, drawing was considered prior to actual building and architecture was considered a three dimensional realization of two dimensional drawing. Modernist avant gardes such as Cubism shattered the rationalized pictorial space of perspective and found a new pictorial space. They tried to extend it to three dimensional space through parallel projection largely based on the Hildebrand's theory of pure visibility. However, due to the ambiguity of the position of the viewing subject, their attempts could not succeed in creating a new architecture. The new architectural avant garde of the 70's rediscovered the early 20th century avant gardes in their attempt to create a new architecture which can register the fragmented spatial condition of contemporary society, and used painting as a medium to create architecture. Their difference from the early avant gardes was that they used poetic imagination rather than parallel projection in the process of projecting three dimensional space and form from the painting. However, their architecture cannot escape the scopic field of perspectivism in that they rely on the picture plane and the distance between object and viewing subject. Therefore, I conclude that in order to create architecture which goes beyond the rationalized space of modern architecture, it is necessary to resort to other tradition of modern architecture than visual one.

평행투영 기반의 고해상도 위성영상 에피폴라 재배열 (Epipolar Resampling for High Resolution Satellite Imagery Based on Parallel Projection)

  • 선형 CCD 센서에 의해 획득되는 위성영상의 기하는 프레임 카메라 영상의 기하와는 차이점을 가지고 있다. 이는 각 스캔 선마다 영상의 외부표정요소가 다르기 때문에 발생한다. 따라서 기존의 프레임 영상에 사용되었던 에피폴라 기하와는 다른 기하가 필요하게 된다. 이와 같은 관점에서, 본 연구에서는 대표적인 선형 CCD 센서를 사용하여 촬영된 IKONOS 위성영상을 이용하여 에피폴라 영상을 제작하기 위한 영상 재배열 방법에 대한 연구를 수행하였으며, 영상의 투영조건을 중심투영이 아닌 평행투영으로 간주하여 구성된 2D 부등각 센서모델을 적용하였다. 이센서 모델에 의해 구성된 에피폴라 선식으로부터 유도된 정규 매개변수와 부등각 변환을 적용하여 에피폴라 재배열영상을 제작하였다. 결과로써, 2D 부등각 센서모델의 정확도가 검증되었으며, 제작된 에피폴라 영상을 사용하여 추출된 3차원 위치정확도는 IKONOS의 RFM 위치정확도와 유사하게 도출되었다.

  • This paper presents a image modification algorithm using the convergence camera model and the two perspective projection matrixes of the original cameras. Any pair of images can be transformed se that epipolar lines are parallel and horizontal in each image. The advantage of modification is that a 2-D search problem is reduced to a 1-D search problem. Reconstruction can be performed directly from the rectified images.

수학자 테일러의 선 원근법과 화가 커비의 해설서 (Mathematician Taylor's Linear Perspective Theory and Painter Kirby's Handbook)

  • In the development of linear perspective, Brook Taylor's theory has achieved a special position. With his method described in Linear Perspective(1715) and New Principles of Linear Perspective(1719), the subject of linear perspective became a generalized and abstract theory rather than a practical method for painters. He is known to be the first who used the term 'vanishing point'. Although a similar concept has been used form the early stage of Renaissance linear perspective, he developed a new method of British perspective technique of measure points based on the concept of 'vanishing points'. In the 15th and 16th century linear perspective, pictorial space is considered as independent space detached from the outer world. Albertian method of linear perspective is to construct a pavement on the picture in accordance with the centric point where the centric ray of the visual pyramid strikes the picture plane. Comparison to this traditional method, Taylor established the concent of a vanishing point (and a vanishing line), namely, the point (and the line) where a line (and a plane) through the eye point parallel to the considered line (and the plane) meets the picture plane. In the traditional situation like in Albertian method, the picture plane was assumed to be vertical and the center of the picture usually corresponded with the vanishing point. On the other hand, Taylor emphasized the role of vanishing points, and as a result, his method entered the domain of projective geometry rather than Euclidean geometry. For Taylor's theory was highly abstract and difficult to apply for the practitioners, there appeared many perspective treatises based on his theory in England since 1740s. Joshua Kirby's Dr. Brook Taylor's Method of Perspective Made Easy, Both in Theory and Practice(1754) was one of the most popular treatises among these posterior writings. As a well-known painter of the 18th century English society and perspective professor of the St. Martin's Lane Academy, Kirby tried to bridge the gap between the practice of the artists and the mathematical theory of Taylor. Trying to ease the common readers into Taylor's method, Kirby somehow abbreviated and even omitted several crucial parts of Taylor's ideas, especially concerning to the inverse problems of perspective projection. Taylor's theory and Kirby's handbook reveal us that the development of linear perspective in European society entered a transitional phase in the 18th century. In the European tradition, linear perspective means a representational system to indicated the three-dimensional nature of space and the image of objects on the two-dimensional surface, using the central projection method. However, Taylor and following scholars converted linear perspective as a complete mathematical and abstract theory. Such a development was also due to concern and interest of contemporary artists toward new visions of infinite space and kaleidoscopic phenomena of visual perception.

고해상도 위성영상의 센서모형과 방법 비교 (Comparison Among Sensor Modeling Methods in High-Resolution Satellite Imagery)

  • 고해상도 위성의 센서모형화는 도면화와 지형공간정보(Geo-spatial Information System)의 응용을 위해서는 필수적인 단계이다. 영상과 대상물과의 기하학적인 관계를 규정하는 센서모형은 크게 엄밀(rigorous)센서모형화와 간략(approximate)센서모형화의 두 가지로 나눌 수 있다. 엄밀센서모형화는 위성의 실제적인 촬영기하를 고려한 것으로 센서의 내외부적인 특성을 알고 있어야 하는 반면에 간략센서모형화 방법은 영상취득기하의 종합적인 이해나 센서의 내외부적인 특성정보를 필요로 하지 않기 때문에 사진측량 커뮤니티에서 많은 관심이 증대되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 고해상도 위성영상의 3차원 위치결정에 이용되고 있는 엄밀센서모형과 다양한 간략센서모형에 대해 비교연구를 수행하였으며 위성영상의 이용목적에 따른 적합한 모형화 방법을 제안하였다. IKONOS 위성영상을 이용한 사례연구를 통하여 엄밀센서모형과 간략센서모형에 대한 비교연구를 수행하였으며, 수집 가능한 지상기준점에 따른 위치정확도를 평가하였다. 간략센서모형화 방법 중에서 편의보정된 다항식비례모형(bias compensated RFM)이 가장 우수하였으며 개량평행투영모형(modified parallel projection)과 평행-중심투영모형(parallel-perspective model)은 적은 수의 기준점을 이용하여 센서모형화가 가능하였다. 또한 간략센서모형화 방법 중 부등각사상변환(affine transformation)은 고해상도 위성의 수평위치결정과 영상간의 등록에 활용가능하다.

  • A new algorithm was developed to interpret joint orientations from a pair of images of the rock slope to overcome the limitation of photographing direction as in the parallel stereophotogrammetric system and to maximize the range of image measurement. This algorithm can be regarded as a modified multistage convergent photographing system. To determine camera parameters in the perspective projection equation that are the major elements in the photogrammetric technique, a new concept was developed by using three ground control points and single ground guide point. This method could be considered to be very simple when compared with other existing methods which use a number of ground control points and complicated analysis processes.
