병렬운전 모델을 이용한 DC-DC 컨버터의 병렬운전 특성해석 (The Analysis of Parallel Operating Characteristics for DC-DC Converter Using the Parallel Operation Model)

  • 높은 생산성, 시스템 설계의 단순화 및 미래 확장에 대비한 여분의 전원 확보 등의 병렬운전 방법의 장점으로 인해 대전력 전원장치에 있어 컨버터 시스템의 병렬운전에 대한 요구가 점점 증가되어 왔다. DC-DC 컨버터의 소신호 모델을 토대로 하여, 병렬운전 시스템의 모델을 제안하였으며 각 컨버터 모듈간의 균일한 전류분배를 위해 제안된 균등 전류 분배법을 사용한 병렬운전 시스템에 대하여 논의하였다. 모의실험 프로그램을 사용하여, 서로 특성이 다른 컨버터 모듈로 구성된 병렬운전 시스템에서 마스터와 슬레이브 모듈의 위치가 자동적으로 변하면서 전류분배 오차는 제한 값 이내로 유지됨을 확인하였다. 병렬운전을 위한 제안된 컨버터 시스템의 운전 특성을 확인하기 위하여 1[kW]의 DC-DC 컨버터 모듈 2대를 제작 실험하였으며 모의실험 결과는 과도특성 및 기동특성에 있어 실험 결과와 잘 일치됨을 확인하였다.

  • Consideration for parallel operation in a high power system has been increased due to the advantages of parallel operation like as high productivity, simplicity of design, and redundancy of power. This paper discussed the parallel operation of DC-DC Converter, Which Can be used as a high power system, is studied. Based on the small signal model of DC-DC Converter, the simple and exact power stage model of parallel operation system is derived and the parallel operation system using current balance method for the uniform current distribution among the parallel operation system is discussed. To verify the high performance of the proposed DC-DC converter system for parallel operation, the simulation test of the parallel operation, which has 2 Converter modules, is accomplished.

  • In this paper, a program for real time simulation of a vehicle is developed. The program uses relative coordinates and BEF(Backward Difference Formula) numerical integration method. Numerical tests showed that the proposed implicit method is more stable in carring out the numerical integration for vehicl dynamics than the explicit method. Hardware requirements for real time simulation are suggested. Algorithms of parallel processing is developed with DSP (digital signal processor).

  • A computer simulation for the performance analysis of automobile air conditioning components is carried out for the various operating conditions. The automobile air conditioning system consists of laminated type evaporator, swash plate type compressor, parallel flow type condenser, externally equalized thermostatic expansion valve and receiver drier. The overall heat transfer coefficient and the pressure drop in laminated type evaporator were obtained through experiments. In parallel flow type condenser, the performance analysis computer program using the empirical equation for heat transfer coefficient has been developed and the results are compared with experimental results. A model for matching the performance analysis programs of respective components .of automobile air conditioning system is introduced. Further, the effects of varying condenser size and refrigerant charge on the performance of automobile air conditioning system are discussed clearly.

  • Thanks to the recent development of computing technology, the various forms of high-performance computers are available. Among them, the parallel-clustering CPU machines are realized for the high performance computing. These supercomputers (cluster computers) can be applied to various industries due to the advantages of lower price. Especially in the field of numerical flow simulation, use of supercomputers can produce results quickly, and various engineering problems can be reviewed effectively case by case. In this paper, an application of supercomputers (cluster computers) were examined for railroad industry of fire flow simulation by using parallel computational method. It make sure that the supercomputers are very useful tools for railroad engineering.

  • Turbulent flow characteristics on the gap of two parallel channels are investigated using LES(large eddy simulation) approach. Two parallel channels have the same cross-section area and are connected by the narrow channel named the gap. Turbulent flow near the gap makes the flow pulsation along the streamwise direction of two channels. The flow condition is the Reynolds number of $2.5{\times}10^{-5}$. We compared the predicted results with the previous experimental results and presented the axial mean velocity, turbulent intensities, Reynolds shear stresses and turbulent kinetic energy.

Simulation study on the nonlinear evolution of EMIC instability

  • Charged particle energization is an outstanding problem in space physics. This paper investigates the nonlinear dynamics of Alfve'n-cyclotron waves accompanying particle heating processes and the drift Alfv'en-cyclotron (or EMIC) instability associated with a current disruption event on 29 January 2008 observed with THEMIS satellite by means of a particle-in-cell simulation. The simulation shows that the drift Alfv'en-cyclotron instabilities are excited in two regimes, a relatively low frequency mode propagating in a quasi-perpendicular direction while the second high-frequency branch propagating in a predominantly parallel propagation direction, which is consistent with observation as well as earlier theories. It is shown that parametric decay processes lead to an inverse cascade of Alfv'en-cyclotron waves and the generation of ion-acoustic waves by decay instability. It is also shown that the nonlinear decay processes are accompanied by small perpendicular heating and parallel cooling of the protons, and a pronounced parallel heating of the electrons.

컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 이용한 병렬 대기행렬 시스템의 최적 서버 배치 방안 (Optimal Server Allocation to Parallel Queueing Systems by Computer Simulation)

  • 실생활에서 2개의 병렬형 대기행렬 시스템은 흔히 발견된다. 병렬형 대기행렬 시스템에서 각 작업장은 서로 다른 고객 도착패턴과 고객 서비스 시간 분포를 갖는 경우가 많다. 이 논문은 서로 다른 서비스 시간을 갖는 병렬형 대기행렬 시스템에 총 서버 수가 제한되어 있는 상황에서 각각의 작업장에 적절한 수의 서버를 배치하는 문제를 다룬다. 각 작업장은 제한된 수의 서버를 전체 시스템의 가중평균 시스템 시간이 최소가 되는 기준에 따라 배치 받는다. 일반적으로 M/M/c 시스템은 시스템 시간에 대한 해석적 방법의 산출식이 알려져 있다. M/M/c 시스템에 대한 최적 서버 배치 방안을 해석적 방법에 따라 계산한 결과를 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 실험 결과와 비교해 본 결과, 두 가지 방법에 의한 최적 해가 동일함이 확인되었다. M/M/c 시스템의 최적화 과정에서 발견한, 각 작업장의 유효작업부하가 가장 비슷하거나 같게 되도록 서버를 배치하는 방식인 CETI 규칙에 따라 M/G/c, G/M/c 그리고 G/G/c 시스템에 대한 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션 실험 결과를 제시하였다. 그 결과, 해석적 방법으로는 증명할 수 없지만 일부 G/G/c 시스템을 제외한 나머지 경우에서는 CETI 규칙이 최적의 서버 배치 방식인 것으로 나타났다.

  • The 6DOF (degrees of freedom) Parallel Manipulators have some advantages that are high power, high rigidity, high precision for positioning and compact mechanism compared with conventional serial link manipulators. For these Parallel Manipulators, it can be expected to work in the new fields such that the medical operation, high-precision processing technology and so on. For this expectation, it is necessary to control the action reaction pair of forces which act between the Parallel Manipulator and the operated object. In this paper, we analyze the dynamics of the 6DOF Parallel Manipulator and present numerical simulation results.

평면 다물체 동역학 해석에서 GPU 병렬 프로그래밍의 계산효과 (Calculation Effect of GPU Parallel Programing for Planar Multibody System Dynamics)

  • In this paper, the equations of motions for planar multibody dynamics are established for considering the parallel programming based on GPU. Cartesian coordinates are used to formulate the equations of motion and implicit integration method called HHT-alpha is employed. Open chain multibody system is considered for computer simulation. CUDA toolkit is employed for establishing the GPU parallel programming. The exactness of the analysis is verified from the comparison with ADAMS. The results from parallel computing based on GPU are compared with the results from the sequential programming based on CPU in terms of calculation time. The multiple pendulum with bodies and joints is employed for the computer simulation. In the pendulum system that has 290 bodies, the parallel program indicates an improved efficiency of about 25.5 second(15.5% improvement). It is noted that the larger the size of system is, the time efficiency is better.
