A new method for measuring fiber length and fiber coarseness was developed using image analysis technique. Measured fibers were transferred to a glass slide on a filter paper placed on a wire of the laboratory paper machine. After staining the fibers on the slide, mean fiber lengths and coarseness were measured by a commercial image analysis software, named KS400. The resultant data obtained from the image analysis displayed a close correlation with those from FS-200 and also showed excellent reproducibility as well as those from FS-200. The length of synthetic fibers over 10 mm long could be readily measured by this new analysis technique. Finally, a substantial improvement in precision for measuring fiber length and coarseness was made with less operator's effort for a given time.

본 논문에서는 친환경 포장재인 골판지의 기계적 물성을 측정하고, 이를 LS-DYNA의 MAT_PAPER 모델에 적용하여 유한요소해석을 수행하였다. MAT_PAPER는 주로 종이의 거동을 모델링 하기 위한 재료모델이지만 본 연구를 통해 골판지에 대해서도 적용 가능함을 보였다. 인장, 압축, 전단 거동에 대하여 골판지의 방향별 기계적 물성을 측정 및 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 6개의 항복면을 도출하여 MAT_PAPER 모델에 통합하였다. 재료시험 시편의 유한요소해석과 골판지 사각관의 저속 붕괴해석 결과를 각 실험 결과와 비교함으로써, 골판지의 거동을 등가적으로 잘 고려할 수 있음을 보였다. 그러나 해당 모델은 골판지의 변형률 속도효과를 고려하지 못하므로, 골판지의 원소재인 원심지의 고속물성을 측정하여 이를 보정하였으며, 이에 따라 골판지 사각관의 고속 압괴 실험 결과와 잘 일치함을 보였다.

This paper deals with the feasibility analysis and alternatives for infrared detector development. The purpose of this paper analyze development requirement and feasibility study in both technology and cost. We get raw input data for system engineering process from development and technical expert, and then analyze cost and technology for development feasibility, and alternative study. Infrared Detector is core component of Thermal Imaging System and developed by ADD from 2006 to 2008 year. Technical level is analyzed by TRL(Technical Readiness Level) and AOA(Analysis of Alternative) is done by development and production cost estimate. We use SEER-H tool for cost estimate, that is parametric cost estimate tool based on Knowledge Base. Also this paper presents risk analysis for project management because it is necessary to risk driver management during the infrared detector development. The result of IR Detector feasibility and alternative study will be used in technical and cost analysis. This study can help those who are related to the cost analysis and development feasibility of other weapons

This paper deals with Activity Analysis Method that is important procedure in Activity Based Costing System Implementation. There are many existing Activity Analysis Method, for example Interview, Questionnaire, Specialist Discussion and Work Measurement. Activity Analysis Data gained through this method has high reliability but this method bring about high cost. In case that certain company needs a strategic costing system, Activity Analysis Method which has high reliability will be need. But, if companies want the costing system as a internal decision making tool only, they need to design the ABC system fast and cheaply. This paper explains that Activity Analysis using existing finn material is good alternatives. So, this paper show the feasibility of Activity Analysis using existing firm material with comparing between job description, job specification information and Activity Analysis information.

The possibility of the characterization of sheet formation by image analysis with transmitted light was evaluated. Specific perimenter, average perimeter and variation could not be used to predict the sheet formation because there were no corrleation. Although image analysis method still have a lot of problems , it was found that the contrast intensity obtained by image analysis with transmitted light can be used to predict the sheet formation. In the case of highly filled sheet, the intensity of transmitted light was too low to characterize the sheet formation . However, it was possible to characterize the formation of unfilled heavy weight paper($\leq$200g/㎡).

This paper employs a computer-aided text analysis (CATA) and a Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) to explore the strategies of recruitment and intellectual polarization in ISIS (Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) media. The paper's main objective is to shed light on the efficacy of employing computer software in the linguistic analysis of texts, and the extent to which CATA software contribute to deciphering hidden meanings of texts as well as to arrive at concise and authentic results from these texts. More specifically, this paper attempts to demonstrate the contribution of CATA software represented in the two variables of Frequency Distribution Analysis (FDA) and Content Analysis (CA) in decoding the strategies of recruitment and intellectual polarization in one of ISIS 's digital publication: Rumiyah (a digital magazine published by ISIS). The analytical focus is on three strategies of recruitment and intellectual polarization: (i) lexicalization, (ii) intertextual religionisation, and (iii) justification. Two main findings are revealed in this study. First, the application of CATA software into the linguistic investigation of texts contributes effectively to the understanding of the thematic and ideological messages pertaining to the analyzed text. Second, the computational analysis guarantees concise, credible, authentic and ample results than is the case if the analysis is conducted without the work of computer software. The paper, therefore, recommends the integration of CATA software into the linguistic analysis of the various types of texts.

This paper deals with modeling and dynamic characteristic analysis of a large-powered LNG electric ship propulsion system. Basically, we perform to verify the adequacy of system modeling on the sea going mode and LNG unloading mode based on load flow analysis. And then, we observe the dynamic characteristic of system to perform motor starting analysis and transient stability analysis. Particularly, this paper examine analysis results in comparison with the IEEE standard 141 and the class rule. Hence, this paper has evaluated stability of the electric ship propulsion system at static and dynamic conditions.

This paper deals with an application of process value analysis method for a manufacturing process in order to redesign facility layout in a paper company. We have used the value analysis method which permits an overall and rigorous study of process by a functional approach. Firstly, customer's expectations for the future process are clearly and precisely expressed with specifications of the Functional Extern Analysis. The existing process is analyzed using various tool of the Functional Internal Analysis in the second part. From the results of these analysis, we find out that the main problems of current facility are due to scheduling and facility layout. This paper is devoted to resolve the second problem. We suggest an ideal solution in order to have a reference solution. Nextly, We give realistic choices and the final solution for the facility layout.
