수입 및 국산 용지를 사용한 지도 인쇄물의 내마모성 및 내광성에 관한 비교 연구 (Comparison Study on abrasion resistance and beam endurance of map printing using the import and domestic paper)

  • For the efficient work of map printing and quality improvement, we experimented on abrasion-resistance and beam-endurance of 5 kinds of map papers (offset paper, art paper, domestic map paper, foreign map paper, and Tyvek paper). The results obtained that imported and domestic map paper were superior to the others in endurance-proof.

  • In this paper, we describe an IMT-2000 system architecture, a protocol stack, and basic MAP scenarios(e.g., registration, call delivery) based on the IS-41 and IS-41 and IS-751. This paper focuses on the MAP scenarios to support the IMSI which is defined for the global roaming between GSM and IS-41 Networks through the Family of System approach. This paper also deals with the design of the MAP protocol stack transported over the ATM networks and introduces the software structure of MAP in IMT-2000 MSC.

QR코드를 이용한 종이지도의 활용도 증대방안 연구 - 종이지도용 QR코드 사용의사 및 정보제공 수요 조사를 중심으로 - (A Study on Making Better Use of the Paper Map with QR codes - Focused on the Survey about Intending to Use and Providing Information -)

  • 본 연구는 종이지도에 대한 다양한 정보수요를 충족하고 종이지도의 활용을 활성화하기 위해 QR코드를 활용하는 방안을 살펴보았다. 종이지도에 QR코드를 부착하여 추가정보를 제공한다면 이를 활용할 의사가 있는지와 이를 결정하는 요인을 탐색하기 위하여 의사결정나무분석을 실시하였다. 또한 QR코드를 통해 제공받고 싶은 추가정보를 도출하기 위하여 정보제공 분야와 분야별 추가정보 수요에 대해 조사하였다. 분석결과에 의하면 종이지도용 QR코드 사용의사를 결정하는 예측요인은 종이지도 사용빈도, 종이지도 사용경험, QR코드 사용경험, 종이지도 구입의사, 종이지도 구입경험 등으로 나타났다. 종이지도용 QR코드의 사용의사를 가장 잘 변별해 주는 요인은 종이지도의 사용빈도였다. QR코드를 통해 종이정보에 추가로 정보를 제공할 분야는 여행 레저분야의 수요가 가장 높았다. 또한 일상생활, 부동산, 교육, 여행 레저, 엔터테인먼트 등 세부분야별로 다양한 정보수요가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과는 QR코드를 도입하여 종이지도의 활용을 활성화하기 위한 방안을 모색하고, 종이지도용 QR코드와 관련 어플리케이션을 개발하는데 활용될 수 있을 것이다.

  • Since National Geographic Information System was started, paper maps have been made with computer aided editing of digital map, instead of etching map-size negative film. Automated paper mapping system's necessity is growing more and more, because digital map has changed into Ver.2.0 which include attributes of feature. Therefore, in this study we try to analyze correlation of the digital map feature code and the 1/5,000 topographic map specifications which is necessary for paper mapping automatization using digital map Ver.2.0, and try to develop fundamental modules which will play a core role in automated paper mapping system.

Precise Vehicle Localization Using Gaussian Mixture Map Based on Road Marking

  • It is essential to estimate the vehicle localization for an autonomous safety driving. In particular, since LIDAR provides precise scan data, many studies carried out to estimate the vehicle localization using LIDAR and pre-generated map. The road marking always exists on the road because of provides driving information. Therefore, it is often used for map information. In this paper, we propose to generate the Gaussian mixture map based on road-marking information and localization method using this map. Generally, the probability distributions map stores the single Gaussian distribution for each grid. However, single resolution probability distributions map cannot express complex shapes when grid resolution is large. In addition, when grid resolution is small, map size is bigger and process time is longer. Therefore, it is difficult to apply the road marking. On the other hand, Gaussian mixture distribution can effectively express the road marking by several probability distributions. In this paper, we generate Gaussian mixture map and perform vehicle localization using Gaussian mixture map. Localization performance is analyzed through the experimental result.

Interoperability of Spatial Data through Open Web Map Server

  • Over the past few years, a number of studies have been made on web map services, which enable the GIS user to access spatial data through the web. They, however, have focused on only implementation techniques separately, such as map client implementation, map server implementation, communication between client and server, and the map data representation. Therefore, it is hard to share and practical use the spatial data, because they does not ensure interoperability in heterogeneous map servers. In this paper, we have designed and implemented the web map server with open architecture, which complies with the standard interfaces proposed by OpenGIS Consortium (OGC). In particular, we have extended the OGC’s interfaces for a map server to support one or more data sources. This paper has contributed to construction and practical use of web map services by newly proposing the method of implementation of a map server, which could be reused regardless of the types of data sources.

증강현실 지도제작에 대한연구 (A Study on the Creation of Augmented Reality Map)

  • 본 논문은 2D 지도에 증강현실 기술을 접목하며 2D정보와 3D정보를 혼합한 새로운 형태의 모바일 기기에 탑재될지도 콘텐츠에 대한 연구이다. 또한 본 논문의 이해를 돕기 위해 Unity3D 엔진을 이용하여 제작한 'NSU AR Map'이라는 3D 지도 어플리케이션의 기획부터 제작까지를 기술하였다. 'NSU AR Map'은 사용자의 위치를 정확히 파악할 수 있는 정확성과 360 View를 통한 실제 모습까지 파악이 가능하게 한 지도 어플리케이션이다. 이 논문을 통해서 3D 지도 어플리케이션의 제작과정에서 얻은 경험을 토대로 3D화 시킨 요소들과 증강현실의 기술이 새로운 지도 어플리케이션에 어떻게 작용되며 앞으로의 발전 가능성에 대한 방향성을 제시하고자 한다.

한의학 연구동향 분석을 위한 페이퍼 맵 분석 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Paper Map for Traditional Korean Medicine)

  • Objectives: Because of the characteristics of traditional Korean medicine, there are few overseas patents and SCI papers. Researchers are struggling to analyze the research trend using existing patent analysis system and paper analysis system. We aim to build up a web-based paper map analysis system for Traditional Korean Medicine to improve the situation. Methods: We studied the following three sub topics. First, we surveyed the research trend analysis method for traditional Korean medicine. Second, we designed a paper map analysis model and made the algorithm for it. Finally, the development of the paper map analysis system was conducted. Results: We developed a web-based paper map analysis system which has the three main functions being analysis chart, topology map and contour map. For the rich internet application, we used the flex development tool and java integrated development environment. Conclusion: We will provide our paper map analysis system in the OASIS through the minor changes to provide easy use. We hope that this system will be a useful tool to analyze the research trends for traditional Korean medicine.

  • Turbo codes that have attracted a great attention in recent years are applied to wireless communication networks that require variable quality of service and transmit over unknown fading channel. A MAP decoder is the constituent of turbo decoder. In this paper, we propose a high speed architecture of MAP decoder and a new normalization technique, In conclusion, this paper presents the efficient implementation of serial block MAP decoder for turbo codes.
