  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the meaning of picture book reading experience for 2-year-old children using sensory reading media and to suggest a plan to support language ability through meaningful reading. For this study, 35-month-old boys were selected, and data collection was conducted based on participant observation and field record notes at home and analyzed qualitatively. In this study, for about two months from March 20th to April 30th, 2021, all the time of exploring picture books and playing were recorded and the data were collected. The recording time was about 20 hours, and the collected data and field records were transcribed on 108 pages of A4 paper. The results of the study showed that 2-year-old infants were immersed in exploring new media through the experience of reading picture books using sensory reading media, comparing with similar media, and reading picture books using media. In addition, it was found that the emergence of leading reading that selects and reads books by Hans himself, exploration using reading media, and play linked to picture books in everyday life. This can be seen as a result of suggesting that the picture book reading experience of 2-year-olds using sensory reading media is meaningful to the reading experience of infants.

  • A company's market value-added, which equals the excess of a company's market capitalization over it s book value, is used as one of the measures for intangible assets valuation in accounting literature. One problem with the approach is that the valuation results are affected by severe fluctuations in capital markets. In this paper, we propose an approach using the Kalman filter for intangible assets valuation. We apply this method to data of Korean electronic companies.

  • In this paper we establish some results on the increments of a d-dimensional Gaussian process with the usual Euclidean norm. In particular we obtain the law of iterated logarithm and the Book-Shore type theorem for the increments of ad-dimensional Gaussian process, via estimating upper bounds and lower bounds of large deviation probabilities on the suprema of the d-dimensional Gaussian process.

  • In conducting the analysis of variance for the split-plot design using the statistical package SPSS, users including statisticians are faced with difficulties because of no appropriate example in the SPSS applications guide book. In this paper, therefore, we present an analysis of variance procedure for the split-plot design using SPSS syntax window.

  • In this paper we study Soltan & Meidman's method that is able to be used in mathematical discovery. We analyze Soltan & Meidman's book "Tozdestva i Neravenstva v Treugolike" that is published in Moldova Republic. In this work we formulate Soltan & Meidman's method related with discovery of triangle's various equalities, and use the method to discovery mathematical equalities. As a result we suggest some new mathematical equalities related with triangle's sides and its proof.

  • This paper will review the state of the latest development of AMLCD manufacturing facilities for large Substrate and discuss the future technologies. The trend of the display size enlargement of Note book PC has hauled the enlargement of the mother glass substrate in past 10 years. The enlargement of a substrate size has brought about the productivity improvement of the TFT panel with process innovation as yet. Will this trend be continuing hereafter too? The issues of the processing and facilities related with the large square substrate and mask step reduction will be overviewed and the future processing and facilities will be discussed.

  • In [6] Schensted constructed the Schensted algorithm giving a bijection between permutations and pairs of Young standard tableaux. After knuth generalized it to column strict tableaux in [3] various analogs of the Schensted algorithm came. In this paper we describe the bumping algorithm on the shifted rim hook tableaux which is the basic building block of the Schensted algorithm for shifted rim book tableaux.

  • In this paper, a new fast voronoi divider for vector quantization (VQ) is introduced, which results from Theorem that the nearest vectors in the sense of minimum mean square error(MMSE) have almost the same mean values of their elements. An improved splitting method for a VQ codebook design using the fast voronoi divider is also presented. Experimental results show that the new method reduces the complexity of training a VQ codebook several times with a high signal to noise ratio(SNR) using an appropriate extensive parameter of codebook.

  • In this paper, we propose an adaptive encoding method of fixed codebook in CELP coders and implement an adaptive fixed code exited linear prediction(AF-CELP) speech coder. AF-CELP exploits the fact that the fixed codebook contribution to speech signal is also periodic like the adaptive codebook (or pitch filter) contribution. By modeling the fixed code book with the pitch lag and the gain from the adaptive codebook, AF-CELP can be implemented at low bit rates as well as low complexity. Listening tests show that a 6.4 kbit/s AF-CELP has a comparable quality to the 8 kbit/s CS-ACELP in background noise conditions.

  • In this paper. we present a new speech recognition system using DSP chip. DSP chip used TMS320c6711 of TI. We designed hardware system including acoustic model, word list and code book in flash memory. The word candidates are recognized based on CV, VCCV, and VC units HMM. This system can be applied to various electric & electronic devices: home automation, robotics etc.
