This paper presents a useful method of registration in manufacturing of shadow color mask for cathode ray tubes of the FTM (Flat Tension Mask) type, wherein the shadow mask and front panel are interchangeable when mask-panels are assembled, which is called ICM system. Theoretical analysis and alignment process are presented. The pattern of mask aperture is registered with a screen pattern of corresponding geometry of the panel in flat tension mask tube. Registration accuracy of panel and mask affects the purity of color cathode ray tube concerned with mislanding. It tries to minimize the misregistration caused by variances, which are mechanical error, mask stretching position error, restrictive number of fiducial point, etc.

Many process parameters have an effect on the auto-body panel forming process. A well-designed blank shape causes the material to flow smoothly, reduces the punch and yields a product with uniform thickness distribution. Therefore, the determination of an initial blank shape plays the important role of saving time and cost in the auto-body panel forming process. For these reasons, some approaches to estimate the initial blank shape have been implemented in this paper, the one-step approach by using a finite element inverse method will be introduced to predict the initial blank shape the developed program is applied to auto-body panel forming.

Recently, demands for the reduction of noise generated by transformers have been increasing. Almost all the noise generated by a transformer is a result of magnetostrictive vibration in the core. The noise radiates into the atmosphere from the tank through the insulation oil. One method of reduction such a noise is to build a free-standing enclosure of concrete and steel plates around the transformer. However, this method has some disadvantages, for example, a large area is needed for equipment installation. In this paper, the vibration and noise effects which is transferred from reinforce channel to insulation panel generated by transformer have been identified for the several kinds of insulation panel shape and damping sheet experimentally.

This study using ABAQUS investigates the nonlinear vibration responses when thermal and random acoustic loads are applied simultaneously to the stiffened composite panels. The nonlinear vibration analyses are performed with changing the number of stiffeners, and layup condition of the skin panel. The panel and stiffeners both are modeled using shell elements. Thermal load (ΔT) is assumed to have the temperature gradient through the thickness direction of the stiffened composite panel. The random acoustic load is represented as stationary white-Gaussian random pressure with zero mean and uniform magnitude over the panels. The thermal postbuckling analysis is conducted using RIKS method, and the nonlinear dynamic analysis is performed using Hilber-HughesTaylor time integration method. When ΔT = 25.18 ℃ and SPL = 105 dB are applied to the stiffened composite panel, the effect of the number of stiffener is investigated, and the snap-through responses are observed for composite panels without stiffeners and with 1 and 3 stiffeners. For investigation of the effect of layup condition of the skin panel, when ΔT = 38.53 ℃ and SPL = 110 dB are applied to the stiffened composite panel, the snap-through responses are shown when the fiber angle of the skin panel is 0°, 30°, and 60°.

This paper propose the method to drive a solar panel cleaning robot efficiently on an inclined panel using vacuum pad pressure. In this method, the rubber pads using the vacuum pressure are used to attach robot body to the panel surface. By applying the linkage mechanism to the vacuum pads, it was possible to reduce robot weight and power consumption and to prevent slipping of the robot. In addition, the use of solenoid valves, proximity sensors, and encoders to detect movement of the robot body and the control of the pad pressure dedicate to the driving of the robot on an inclined panel. In order to move the robot forward, the operation sequence of multiple solenoid valves was completed, and the six vacuum pads mounted to both legs were accurately controlled to form vacuum and atmospheric pressure in right order so that the robot could move forward without slipping. At last, it was confirmed through experiments that straight-forward moving and rotational movement could be performed up to 36 degrees of inclination angle of solar panel.
This paper analyses the effect of R&D investment on local economies. R&D investment contributes to the regional local economy by increasing employment and production activity of the investees. The investees may end up with increased productivity, sales and employment. At the regional R&D level, the central government R&D fund and firm self R&D budget will be the source of R&D investment. Further positive effects are inter-related with local industries. This study carried out an empirical analysis on the effect of R&D investment on local economies using Korean panel data after comparing international literatures. The dynamic panel estimator is used to estimate an autoregressive model with lagged dependent variable. Using the Da Silva method, mixed variance-component moving-average error process is estimated and selected. R&D investment is very important factor to improve the productivity of a region and the size of the effect is dependent on the time periods within the Korean economic history.
The purpose of this study is to propose a method of designing a systematic panel survey at the institutional level to lay the foundation for data-based decision-making using vocational training teachers and instructors as the population. In this study, the target population and sampling frame, which are the main elements necessary for planning a panel survey, are proposed. Also based on expert advice and empirical data analysis, the sampling unit and sampling method taking into account the outer and inner variables are presented, comprehensively considering the representativeness of data, the efficiency and sustainability of data collection. As a result of the study, with the unit of the panel as a vocational training institution, a two-stage stratified proportional sampling plan is proposed so that the institution selected as the panel and the vocational training teachers and instructors belonging to the institution can participate in the survey. Based on this, implications for the panel survey sample design are presented.
Purpose: In this study,fire-resistance test were executed to evaluate the effectiveness of the fireproof panel attached to the PSC slab in tunnel. Method: For the fire resistance test, the RWS curve was applied and the furnace of the KICT was used. Result: As a result of the experiment, the maximum temperature measured on the concrete surface of the PSC slab with the fireproof panel was 321.8℃, which was lower than the damage limit temperature of 380℃ for concrete. Also, at the t=25mm, the maximum temperature was 35.2℃, which was lower than the damage temperature of steel, 250℃. The use of precast fire resistance panel(t=30mm) improves fire resistance of PSC structures. Conclusion: As a result of the test, a reinforcement method for attached a fireproof panel in case of fire in a tunnel or an underground roadway is provided to protect a structure from fire. In the future, it is necessary to perform the static performance test of the slab to which the fireproof panel is attached, and to confirm the adhesion performance of the fireproof panel by performing the pull-off test and the fatigue test.

This paper considers the numerical computation of added resistance on ships in the presence of incident waves. As a method of solution, a higher-order Rankine panel method is applied in time domain. The added resistance is evaluated by integrating the second-order pressure on the body surface. Computational results are validated by comparing with experimental data and other computational results on a hemi-sphere, a barge, Wigley hull models, and Series 60 hull, showing very fair agreements. The study is extended to the comparison between Neumann-Kelvin and double-body linearization approaches, and their differences are discussed.

In the analysis pre-cast large panel structures, we can use the new discrete analyzing method to be consisted of rigid bodies. Because the pre-cast panels we still more rigid than the connection, the rigid element method is more efficient numerical method than F. E. M. The characteristics of R. E. M. is that strains in element are not occurred by external loadings and the deformation of the structures by external loadings is transmitted through springs around elements. In this study, we focus on the comparison of the results from the R. E. M. and the F. E. M. in order to establish the validity of the R. E. M. to analysis of pre-cast panel structures.
