This paper presents an overlapping pattern substitution (PS) method. The original overlapping PS method as a reversible data hiding scheme works well with only four pattern pairs among fifteen possible such pairs. This paper generalizes the original PS method so that it will work well with an optimal pair from among the fifteen possible pattern pairs. To implement such an overlapping PS method, changeable and embeddable patterns are first defined. A class map is virtually constructed to identify the changeable and embeddable pairs. The run-lengths between consecutive least probable patterns are recorded. Experiments show that an implementation of our overlapping PS method works well with any possible type of pairs. Comparison results show that the proposed method achieves more embedding capacity, a higher PSNR value, and less human visual distortion for a given embedding payload.
Today, the research to examine a fact that interaction between the air and the fluid free surface affects the steady state flow and air. We proved the interaction between vortex pairs and free surface on each condition that is created by the end of delta wings. Another purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of surface active material which call change the surface tension and we must consider when we refer to turbulent flow on surface tension. Therefore, this research examined the growth process of vortex pairs on condition of clean, contaminated free surface and wall after we made vortex pairs through counter rotating flaps. The results of this study suggest that vortex pairs in clean free surface rise safely but the vortex pairs in contaminated free surface and rigid, no slip is made secondary vortex or rebounding. However the secondary vortex in rigid, no slip is stronger than before. and we can find the vortex shape which roll up more completely. However, these will disappear by the effect of wall.

We prepared silicon on insulator(SOI) wafer pairs of Si/1800${\AA}$ -SiO$_2$ ∥ 1800${\AA}$ -SiO$_2$/Si using water direct bonding method. Wafer pairs bonded at room-temperature were annealed by a normal furnace system or a fast linear annealing(FLA) equipment, and the micro-structure of bonding interfaces for each annealing method was investigated. Upper wafer of bonded pairs was polished to be 50 $\mu\textrm{m}$ by chemical mechanical polishing(CMP) process to confirm the real application. Defects and bonding area of bonded water pairs were observed by optical images. Electrical and mechanical properties were characterized by measuring leakage current for sweeping to 120 V, and by observing the change of wafer curvature with annealing process, respectively. FLA process was superior to normal furnace process in aspects of bonding area, I-V property, and stress generation.
Comparative study of karyotypes in two allotypes $(Mdh-1^{MM} and Mdh-1^{MS})$ of the dark chub (Zacco temmincki) was examined. Both types had diploid number of 48 but the 7th chromosome was strikingly different between them. The chromosomes of $Mdh-1^{MM}$ type was consisted of 6 pairs of metacentrics, 6 pairs of submetacentrics, and 12 pairs of acrocentrics whereas the chromosomes of $Mdh-1^{MS}$ type had 7 pairs of metacentrics, 5 pairs of submetacentrics and 12 pairs of acrocentrics. No hybrid type between these two types was found in sympatric area at Tongchon River Namhae. Probable reproductive isolation between them was discussed.

In this paper, we propose an optimal algorithm for finding the shortest connection of two kinds of parts to pairs. If total part numbers are of size N, then there are order 2ㆍ(N/2)$^{N}$ possible solutions, of which we want the one that minimizes the energy function. The appropriate dynamic rule and parameters used in network are proposed by a new energy function which is minimized when 3-constraints are satisfied. This dynamic nile has three important parameters, an enhancement variable connected to pairs, a normalized distance term and a time variable. The enhancement variable connected to pairs have to a perfect connection of two kinds of parts to pairs. The normalized distance term get rids of a unstable states caused by the change of total part numbers. And the time variable removes the un-optimal connection in the case of distance constraint and the wrong or not connection of two kinds of parts to pairs. First of all, we review the theoretical basis for Hopfield model and present a new energy function. Then, the connection matrix and the offset bias created by a new energy function and used in dynamic nile are shown. Finally, we show examples through computer simulation with 20, 30 and 40 parts and discuss the stability and feasibility of the resultant solutions for the proposed connection algorithm.m.
The molecular interactions between the nucleic acid bases and water molecules are important in organism. Despite Adenine-Thymine Hoogsteen base pair and Guanine-Cytosine Watson-Crick base pair have been demonstrated to be most stable in a gas phase, the effect of water on the stability of these base pairs remains elusive. Here we report the structural and thermodynamic characteristics on possible Adenine-Thymine and Guanine-Cytosine base pairs in a gas phase as well as in an aqueous phase by using quantum mechanical method and statistical mechanical calculations. First, we optimized the direct base-pair interaction energies of four Adenine-Thymine base pairs (Hoogsteen base pair, reverse Hoogsteen base pair, Watson-Crick base pair, and reverse Watson-Crick base pair) and three Guanine-Cytosine base pairs (GC1 base pair, GC2 base pair, and Watson Crick base pair) in a gas phase at the $B3LYP/6-31+G^{**}$ level. Then, the effect of solvent was quantified by the electronic reorganization energy and the solvation free energy by statistical mechanical calculations. Thereby, we discuss the effect of water on the stability of Adenine-Thymine and Guanine-Cytosine base pairs, and argue why Adenine-Thymine Watson-Crick base pair and Guanine-Cytosine Watson-Crick base pair are most stable in an aqueous environment.

Device-to-device (D2D) communications underlaid cellular infrastructure is an competitive local area services technology to promote spectrum usage for next generation cellular networks. These potential can only be tap through efficient interference coordination. Previous works only concentrated on interference from D2D pairs whiles interference from CUs to D2D pairs were neglected. This work focus on solving uplink interference problem emanating from multiple CUs sharing its resource with multiple D2D pairs. The base station (BS) acting as a supervisor selfishly institute a pricing scheme to manage the interference it experience from D2D pairs based on its Quality of service (QoS) requirement. D2D pairs following the supervisor make power allocation decisions considering the price from the BS in a non-cooperative game fashion. In order for the D2D pairs to also meet their QoS requirement, they suggest a price to the BS called discount price which reflects the interference they receive from the CUs. Finally, we analyze the proposed approach.
Redox flow batteries are attractive energy-storage devices for renewable energy and peak-power energy control. Even though some prototypes are available already, many new materials are under development for new battery systems. In this reports, redox pairs and theirs properties are explained, by which one can understand issues with redox pairs, such as contaminations, cross-over, ionic selectivity, and solubility. Batteries that have the same redox pairs in both electrode compartments can be operated longer than those with different redox pairs due to the prevention form the cross-contamination. There are undivided redox flow batteries that have no membrane, which is another direction improving cycle life of the batteries.
The noise removal as a preprocessing was tried with various kinds of wavelet pairs. Wavelet transform for 2D images generally uses the same wavelets as basis functions in horizontal and vertical directions. A method with different wavelets was tried for each direction separately, which gives more precise interpretation of the classification. Total 486 pairs of wavelets from nine basis functions were tried to remove image noises. The classification accuracies before and after the noise removal were compared. Although all kinds of wavelet pairs showed the increased accuracies in classification, there were best and worst wavelet pairs depending on the data sets. Wavelet pairs with low energy percentage of LL band showed the high classification accuracy. A pattern was found in the results that very similar vertical accuracy was distributed for each horizontal ones. Since Haar is the shortest length filter, Haar could be a predictor wavelet to find the good wavelet pairs.
A factored form is a sum of products of sums of products, ..., of arbitrary depth. Factoring is the process of deriving a parenthesized form with the smallest number of literals from a two-level form of a logic expression. The factored form is not unique and described as either algebraic or Boolean. A Boolean factored form contains fewer number of literals than an algebraic factored form. In this paper, we present a new method for a Boolean factorization. The key idea is to identify two-cube Boolean subexpressions from given two-level logic expression and to extract divisor/quotient pairs. Then, we derive extended divisor/quotient pairs, where their quotients are not cube-free, from the generated divisor/quotients pairs. We generate quotient/quotient pairs from divisor/quotient pairs and extended divisor/quotient pairs. Using the pairs, we make a matrix to generate Boolean factored form based on a technique of rectangle covering.
