The Study on the Consumption and the Preference of Chungkukjang Products among Middle School Students in Seoul (서울 지역 일부 중학생들의 청국장 제품의 이용 실태 및 기호도 조사)

  • This study was performed to investigate the consumption and the preference of chungkukjang products among the middle school students. The subject were 538 middle school students(male 283, female 255) in $3^{th}$ grade, and were asked to fill out the questionnaire. The collected data were analyzed by SAS package. The result showed that most students knew about traditional chungkukjang(88.5%) and chungkukjang powder(68.2%), but only 43.5% and 29.4% of the respondents knew about raw chungkukjang and chungkukjang pill, respectively. When asked how often they eat chungkukjang products, traditional chungkukjang were taken often, but chungkukjang powder, raw chungkukjang and chungkukjang pill were shown to be taken relatively less. Over 60% of the students responded that they liked chungkukjang products, because of 'encourage by parents' and 'good for health', but there was no statistical difference by gender. When asked about the reasons for the dislike of the chungkukjang products, male students responded 'bad smell'of traditional chungkukjang, while female students 'eplied' not eating at home'. The students disliked the chungkukjang powder, chungkukjang pill and raw chungkukjang because of 'not knowing it.' These results showed that the social interest and support for the chungkukjang products were necessary and there was a need to advertise the chungkukjang products.

The Relationship among Perceived Benefits of Hotel F&B Loyalty Program, Relationship Quality and Loyalty (호텔 식음료 로열티 프로그램의 혜택, 관계의 질 및 애호도간의 관계에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate how users' perceived benefits of hotel F&B loyalty program affected their relationship quality(trust and satisfaction) and loyalty on hotel products and services(hotel food & beverage products/services) and how their relationship quality(trust and satisfaction) influenced their loyalty. The model was tested in the settings of five-star hotels using a sample of current members of food & beverage membership program. Empirical results confirmed that not only perceived benefits of hotel F&B loyalty program affects users' perceived relationship quality(trust and satisfaction) and loyalty on hotel products and services(hotel food & beverage products/services) but that their perceived relationship quality influences loyalty on hotel products and services(hotel food & beverage products/services). According to the results, complimentary dining coupon and food discount strongly affected relationship quality(trust and satisfaction) and loyalty on hotel products and services(hotel food & beverage products/services). Strategically, it is recommended to appeal those benefits to current and potential members to maximize the loyalty. Also, it should be considered as major factors to re-package hotel F&B loyalty program.

  • Recently, consumers' taste has been diversified, consumption pattern has changed, and product package design has been gradually developed. The product packaging design should be made to be able to know the contents accurately, and it should have the charm that attracts consumers' attention and makes them want to buy the goods. In addition, product design should motivate consumers to buy according to brand naming, package layout, content expression method, taste color, as well as graphic elements that induce visual effects.The graphic elements that express the image of the contents in a package design of the product at a glance are the most essential elements to enhance the value added of the product and to induce the purchase motivation and rationalization of the consumer. This study is a study on visual image symbol image using visual information metadata in livestock products. It examines cases of various livestock packages and presents graphical elements that can visualize livestock images at a glance as metadata elements. We will pursue the premiumization of livestock products, raise brand value, and offer differentiating design strategies for economic benefits as well as potential for revitalizing the livestock market.

  • The 'Collaboration Marketing' is at its prime in domestic-cosmetic market. It is one of the most well known strategic marketing methodologies that maximize customers' attention by combining visual images or illustrations with market's current best selling products. The ultimate goal of my study relies on analyzing the correlation between 'Collaboration Package-Design (CPD)' and customer's actual purchase. Literature research was conducted as the primary step for theoretical basis, while the secondary step mainly deals with three different types of existing 'collaboration marketing' in the worldwide cosmetic market. Lastly, an empirical study through hypothesis test, survey and in-depth interview was conducted. As the outcome of study, two among three hypothesis have been proven while 'Character collaboration' which based on the concept of 'Kidult' (combined concept of Kid and adult) is the most popular tool. This study supports the idea that consumers get more influences from 'image and scarcity' of CPD rather than the actual function or performance of cosmetic products.

Influence of Self-Construal on Choice of Overseas Travel Product Type

  • Purpose: Understanding which product types of overseas travel (free independent travel vs. package travel) consumers will choose is one of the key issues of marketing and consumer behavior in travel agency management. Prior studies on overseas travel type preferences mainly focused on comparing regional differences (e.g., Asian vs. Westerner, or Korean vs. Australian, or Korean vs. Japanese, or American, French, Italian vs. Japanese) influencing the choice of overseas travel type. Another researchers focused on comparing cultural differences (e.g., individualism vs. collectivism, or individualistic culture vs. collectivistic culture), subcultural difference (e.g., acculturation; Koreans living in Republic of Korea vs. Koreans living in Australia), travel lifestyle, and socio-demographics (e.g., age, gender, income level, education level, marital status, occupation etc.). However, there are few studies that identify individual psychological differences (i.e., individual psychological differences within the same culture) influencing the choice of overseas travel type. Self-construal is a psychological factors that greatly influences choice behavior. The purpose of this study was to examine the role of self-construal as an antecedent variable influencing choice of overseas travel product type. Research design, data and methodology: To achieve the purpose of this study, the questionnaire survey method was used. Self-construal items composed of independent self-construal items and interdependent self-construal items. Product types of overseas travel were free independent travel (FIT) type versus package travel type. In this study, the correlation coefficient between independent self-construal and interdependent self-construal was nonsignificant. It meant that the relationship between independent self-construal and interdependent self-construal was orthogonal. Therefore it was analyzed that independent self-construal and interdependent self-construal separately. Reliability analysis, factor analysis, and logistic regression analysis (controlling gender and age) was used as the data analysis method. Results: According to the results of this study, the stronger independent self-construal, the more preference for the free independent travel type rather than package travel, and the stronger interdependent self-construal, the more preference for the package travel type rather than free independent travel. Conclusions: Self-construal is an antecedent variable influencing the choice of travel type. Travel agencies must consider the consumer's self-construal (independent self-construal vs. interdependent self-construal) before planning and designing overseas travel products.

Interfacial Fracture Behavior of Epoxy Adhesives for Electronic Components (전자부품용 에폭시 접착제의 계면 파괴 거동 연구)

  • In the field of the entire electronic component industry including mobile IT products, the importance of a versatile package with the multifunctional or high capacity memories is gradually increased. Multi Chip Package which has several chips in a single package is frequently used for that purpose. In MCP, epoxy adhesive films play a major role in adhesion between the chips or between chip and substrate. A series of silane coupling agents with a functional group such as epoxy, amine, mercaptan, and isocyanate were applied to the epoxy adhesives and material properties such as wettability and reliability of the adhesives were investigated. From the results, the silane coupling agent with an epoxy functional group showed highest wettability and peel strength in epoxy adhesive. For those reasons, it lead to a superior reliability in the epoxy adhesive against interfacial fracture behaviors through moisture resistance test.

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest potential target countries for the package deal projects of coal resources development and power industry by analyzing data on global coal demand and supply and electrical infrastructures. Indexes such as coal deposits, types of coal deposits, electrical coal consumptions per capita, and gross domestic products per capita of the countries need to be evaluated for determining the potential target countries for the package deal projects. Based on the evaluation of the indexes of countries, the potential target countries for the package deal project are underdeveloping Asia or Africa countries such as Bangladesh, Mongolia, and Nigeria.

Numerical Study on Package Warpage as Structure Modeling Method of Materials for a PCB of Semiconductor Package (반도체 패키지용 PCB의 구조 모델링 방법에 따른 패키지의 warpage 수치적 연구)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the usefulness of single-structured printed circuit board (PCB) modeling by using numerical analysis to model the PCB structure applied to a package for semiconductor purposes and applying modeling assuming a single structure. PCBs with circuit layer of 3rd and 4th were used for analysis. In addition, measurements were made on actual products to obtain material characteristics of a single structure PCB. The analysis results showed that if the PCB was modeled in a single structure compared to a multi-layered structure, the warpage analysis results resulting from modeling the PCB structure would increase and there would be a significant difference. In addition, as the circuit layer of the PCB increased, the mechanical properties of the PCB, the elastic coefficient and inertia moment of the PCB increased, decreasing the package's warpage.

  • This study utilized importance and performance analysis (IPA) in order to improve and plan tangible (menu) and intangible (service) products at dumpling shops. Menu attributes for tangible products were classified into sensory factor, health factor, hygiene factor, and external factor. Attributes for intangible products were classified into response factor, visual factor, spatial factor, package factor, and promotion factor. In IPA analysis of tangible products, sensory factor and hygiene factor were located in Quadrant I (Keep up the good work). Health factor was located in Quadrant III (Low priority for management) and the external factor was located in Quadrant II (Possible overkill). In IPA analysis of intangible products, response factor and visual factor were located in Quadrant I, whereas promotion factor was located in Quadrant III. The attributes related to kindness of staff and space for customers in the store were more important, but due to their low performance level, they were located in Quadrant IV (Concentrate management here). Thus, the product planner should improve attributes of the related product immediately. As a result, the development of competitive products within the market is possible.

A Study on Utilization of Japanese Consumers and the Present Condition of Northeast Asia Processed Eels (장어 시판제품에 대한 동북아시아의 가공현황 및 일본인 소비자의 구매실태 조사)

  • This study investigated the current processing degree and ingredients of sauce on the packaging of the commercial eel products made in Northeast Asia (Korea, Japan, China and Taiwan) and surveyedthe perception of nutritional functionality and purchasing pattern of Japanese consumers for the processed eels. The results are considered as a useful aid for preparation of processed eel products. The commercial eel products, purchased at a department store, supermarket and discount market, were divided by processing method, package quantity, storage method and sauce ingredients. The processing method was indicated in many different ways in each country, such as sauce ingredients and intake method. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 105 Japanese consumers (male 43, female 62) visiting Korea. Of the respondents, 44% answered and the major reasons for purchasing processed eel products were as a side dish for meals. The results for this factor were significantly different in relation to age (p <0.05). The degree of perceptions of functional excellence about processed eel products was well known (37%), some (49%), and seldom (14%). The results for this factor were significantly different in relation to age (p <0.001). Seventy-five percent of the respondents had experienced processed eel products. The type of purchase of the respondents was highest for vinegared rice and fish (47%), followed by freezing (33%), canning (5%), and dried food (4%), in that order.
